There are a lot of these captioned photos floating around. Most tell interesting tales.
And on the lighter side of this sermonette, Vince Gill, singing, “Hard to Kiss the Lips at Night” – for those of you whose life has become a ‘Country Song’.

Lyrics

She used to call me baby… I thought she was such a lady
But my how things have changed since times moved on

I gave her my last dollar… And now all she’ll do is holler
Oh my life has become a country song

I’ve learned she can resist me by the way she always disses me
And comes to bed at night, with that cold cream on

Sometimes I might feel frisky but these days it’s just too risky

It’s Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long

If a tree fell in the forest, She didn’t hear it, would I still be wrong?

I guess I should admit it,
She ain’t never gonna quit it.

It’s Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long

Spoken Voice: (changes each time he sings it)

Man I remember when her eyes used to be so blue and shiny
God you oughtta see what’s happened to her hiney
(Her what?) her hiney
Man that thing is big enough to land a small plane on.
(Small plane?) I’m tellin’ ya
I used to roll her in the the clover, but my god those days are over

It’s Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long

If some day they drop the big one,
I’d say ‘sweet Jesus, She’s gonna finally leave me alone’

It’s alright if we say it,
’cause the radio won’t play it.

It’s Hard To Kiss The Lips At Night That Chew Your Ass Out All Day Long

  1. Been playin' that song for a few years.
GS understood it wasn't about her.

  2. The funny thing about the Trump protests is the fact that most of the protesters have absolutely no idea why they are so angry with him. I also wonder how many of them were paid by Obama-esque community organizers?

  3. The media never backtracks the crowds to the busses and the people who hired them because that would be called "reporting" and reporters don't do that anymore. Following the money often leads to the rich and powerful being embarrassed.

  4. One is politically correct to the left and the media, and the other is not.

I'm actually surprised that Obama kicked his kinsmen in the nuts as hard as he has. The real losers over the past 8 years are the AA's. Of course, they rally around Hillary to get another boot in the butt.

  5. Heaven forbid reporters to actually engage in so-called "reporting." That would take them out of their safe space.

  6. They're angry because they're told to be.

99.999% of that crowd can't think for themselves, which is why they're so attracted to communism/socialism….it removes the burden of having to think about "hard" things….

  7. So, apparently the anti-Trump mob violence is now brought to you by a grant from the Soros foundation. washingtontimes.com/news/2016/mar/13/moveonorg-raising-funds-from-trump-protests-warns-/

  8. Vince is losing his touch. Ain't nowheres in that there 'country' song that has his dog dyin, or mention of a truck of any kind.

  9. I have never equated wine tasting to Country Music. You need to build a still in your basement and serve your friends 'moonshine' if you want to capture the essence of the culture.

  10. Fredd (below) laments that a dog didn't die and nobody's truck was stolen, but I think it's a good country song all the same.

  11. You got me there, LL. Just FYI, in Hill Country, TX they use Ball jars, not Mason. And most Texas cowboys cringe when 'Ball' and 'Squeeze' are used in the same sentence, I'm just sayin'…

  12. I've used Ball and Mason but other than the "Brokeback Mountain" cowboys, I think they'd shy away from that combination…which is likely popular in Austin.

  13. I've often thought we should be using face recognition technology to find out who these professional protesters are and who is paying their way. Of course, investigative journalists don't work like that anymore. Sad, really, that we've sunk to mob rule.
