VM Supplement – Election Day Musing

Blog Post

Prediction One

Harris has no chance in an honest election and probably not much of a chance in a dishonest election. I guess we’ll find out. The idea that people would choose Harris-Walz over RFK, Musk, and Vance, Trump notwithstanding, beggars the imagination.

A Democratic strategist is quoted as saying, “People are nervous, and they’re trying to cover their ass and get a little ahead of Election Day. It’s based on anxiety, stakes, and the unique nature of this cycle. We didn’t have a traditional process for this election. We didn’t have a primary. People just had to fall in line.” Any hope of an open convention was further dashed by the combined backroom dealings of the Democratic National Committee, former President Barack Obama, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

Immediately after those backroom dealings, every nonconforming Democrat had to accept that Harris, without getting one vote in the primary, was being installed by the machine to replace the sputtering President Joe Biden. With that selection predetermined, Biden officially announced on July 21 that he would not be running for reelection and was endorsing Harris as his replacement.

Besides never having held a “straight job” in her life and being an idiot, Harris selected Gov. Tim Walz, the Elmer Fudd-like leftist and self-described “knucklehead” Walz has been a liability from day one.

I know that there are nay-sayers who visit this blog and will disagree, and that’s fine—but having RFK standing next to President Trump calling for an administration that would “Make America Healthy Again” did nothing but stomp the Ho further.

Prediction Two

Other than ineffectual riots in leftist enclaves, nothing other than the usual political hand-wringing, hair-on-fire fringees are going to do anything other than scream.

The military will back the Constitution as they have sworn to do. The rank and file of most officers are still pro-Trump. Unless the Democrats get sixty senators and a majority in the House, there will be no action. Any attempts to block federalization or mobilization of National Guardsmen in the case of riots the local politicians can not or will not handle would be political suicide for the opposition.

No one takes the press or media seriously anymore, especially when it comes to anti-Trump hysteria. The more they caterwaul and spout off conspiracy theories, the more the public tunes them out (except for the relatively few true believers). They are like that crazy cousin who gets invited to Thanksgiving every year, then sits in a corner and proceeds to talk about grand governmental conspiracies; no one listens to him, and they all hope he goes home early.

The fact is that, outside of something radical and violent happening politically, the overwhelming numbers of Americans simply do not care to see the boat rocked. They are not motivated by political or ideological angst unless they are directly affected, and that includes the majority of Democrats, most of whom are tone-deaf to the radicalized Democratic leadership. The harsher the Democratic rhetoric, the less credibility the leadership has, and if the leadership can’t mobilize their masses, they not only won’t get off the ground, but they will lose ground politically.

As I have occasionally said, for a dictator (including the proletariat) to maintain power, he must control and have the absolute loyalty of two societal elements: the mob and the military. The leftist Dems don’t have it here; they don’t have it now, and they are not going to have those two elements if President Trump wins and acts like an elected president of a free nation.

  1. I’ve seen Democrat vote for some of the worst of reprobates, but all Democrats are reprobates. From what I’ve seen, regardless of legacy media cheerleading, there’s a huge disconnect with too many of the Democrat Party to pull off what they did in 2020. I may be wrong, but I don’t think there’s any way Harris can be elected, and the tooth-gnashing will be tremendous with the pretty faces that vomit garbage on the television.

    1. Part of me thinks there is something up with this entire debacle as LL summarized, like they are intentionally losing this election. But for what reason? Can’t put my finger on it.

      1. Suppose the economy is faker and gheyer than we have been led to believe. (This is almost certainly true.) Would you want the party of Goodness and Truth and Honesty and Universal Love to be in the White House when the collapse happens, or the party of hatred and evil to be in the hot seat?

But that may be giving them too much credit. They are cunning, and devious, and utterly unethical, but they have astonishingly limited insight into themselves and how they are viewed by others. Also, they Project (in the psychological sense). Given their surprising limitations, it’s entirely possible they have screwed this up organically.

        1. BlackRock, State Street, and Vanguard have run the Biden/Obama regimes. They’re not stupid.

  2. Spot on LL. Couple of things:
    1) Many countries around the world – especially Scandinavian (and their expats) – are watching this election, many having defined America as Blue v. Red and not “American”. Not good.
    2) Caught a blip on Dana Loesch of a younger gen (a ‘guy’ for certain) voting Harris because – kid you not – he was worried for his young daughters ability to terminate at will their pregnancy(s). This married (no less) wuss said it with a straight face…except he was almost crying, clearly having imbibed too much estrogen. Loesch said the wife needed to immediately divorce this pansy a$$. (in her inimitable manner)

What the hay is it with abortion being such a huge election topic? “Hey! I wanna be able to terminate/murder my baby and you can’t tell me otherwise as it’s my body so I’m voting for the evil empty suit because the other candidate eliminated my Constitutional right!”

No fixing that level of demented brainlessness.

  3. You nailed it on prediction 1. On #2 the is a cancer that runs deep within the ranks. The gay and tranny have made it into leadership positions where they make life difficult for those who are not gay or tranny. The other issue is senior leadership has gotten very politized. Conservative officers have a much lower chance of getting into the War College which is necessary for O-6. DEI has caused many strait, white males to leave after one enlistment. Navy Seals, Rangers, Special Forces, PJ’S, and Delta Force historically have been 70 to 80% white males and their numbers are way down.

    1. Shot: The rank and file of most officers are still pro-Trump.
Chaser: senior leadership has gotten very politized. Conservative officers have a much lower chance of getting into the War College which is necessary for O-6.

You beat me to it. Was just about to say, “and what is the ratio of pro vs anti-Trump at O6 and above?”

      1. O-6 and above claim to love Big Brother. I don’t know how many males will swallow a load of jiz for Joe/Ho/Barack. My point is that their absolute loyalties are likely to themselves and to what is best for them. They’re ruled by expediency.

  4. “Harris has no chance in an honest election and probably not much of a chance in a dishonest election. I guess we’ll find out. The idea that people would choose Harris-Walz over RFK, Musk, and Vance, Trump notwithstanding, beggars the imagination.”

    Quite the coalition.

Let’s see how this pans out.

  5. I can not/will not support or befriend anyone who believes in late-term abortion or gender surgery on minors (among other items). Since those seem to be two major planks of the Democrat platform, that includes those who claim to be Democrats.
Yep – I know. I’m too much of an unforgiving hardass. Too bad, too old to change.

  6. He must control and have the absolute loyalty of two societal elements: the mob and the military.
The Military immediately came to mind, but the Mob?
    .
We do indeed live in Interesting Times.

  7. On a lighter note. Ruth Buzzi put up a humorous post saying that all the yard signs confused her, and she thinks she voted for a realtor.

  8. long time ago I gave up on crossing my fingers when hoping for a good result, I haven’t given up on praying

  9. It’s done, President Elect Donald J Trump! Thank you Lord for your mercy on our country! They tried to kill him…but failed…saved by the hand of God. Hope may not be a strategy but I am hopeful.

Now the battle begins…we have the upper hand…Senate in hand, House close but could be ours. 1st order of business, J6 pardons.

God bless America. SISU MAGA! ™

    1. Yes, President Trump pulled it off with the help of God. We all need to pause for the cause, say a prayer and be thankful that he dodged everything including bullets that they threw at him.

      1. Hone those blades, and stuff those magazines. “They” still have plenty of time to attempt a whole lotta stuff…..

  10. my wife asked me last night why I was loading so many with #3 buck, “no bears left here in Florida n’ the big cats stay pretty much in the swamp.”
“well, just in case we get overrun with wild asses. though, I agree, they’re pretty much on the other coast.”

    Right on.
