My last ride in a sidecar was over 40 years ago. From Syracuse to Long Island, at night, in frigid November weather. It lasted six hours and I was never so cold in my life. I never liked driving a motorcycle with a sidecar attached as the dynamics of control completely changed.
Oh, and the bike was my buddy's 1967 BMW R69S with the sidecar attached.
I like the one with the attached bed/trailer. You could just lean up and shoot anyone messing with your motorcycle in the dead of night.
I've only driven a MC with a sidecar once. In that case, it was like driving a car. You can't lean and stopping power is greatly reduced.
If you get tired, you can pull to the side of the road and catch a few ZZZzzz'z.
