Other Presidents

Blog Post
From the book, In the President’s Secret Service by Ronald Kessler

President Carter was a complete phony who would portray one picture of himself to public and very different in private e.g. would be shown carrying his own luggage but the suitcases were always empty. He kept empty ones just for photo ops. He wanted people to see him as pious and a non-drinker but he and his family drank alcohol continually. He had disdain for the Secret Service and was very irresponsible with the “football” with nuclear codes. He didn’t think it was a big deal and would keep military aides at a great distance. Often did not acknowledge the presence of Secret Service personnel assigned to serve him.”

“Rosalyn Carter mostly did her own thing.”

“To Bill Cinton, the presidency was one giant party. He was trustworthy in any sense of the world. He was nice mainly because he wanted everyone to like him but to him life is just one big game and party. Everyone knows about his sexuality.”

“Hillary is another phony. Her personality would change the instant cameras were near. She hated with open disdain the military and Secret Service. She was another who felt people were there to serve her. She was always trying to keep tabs on Bill Clinton.”
“Barack Obama is Clinton all over again – a man without shame who hates the military and looks down on the Secret Service. He is egotistical and cunning. He looks you in the eye and appears to agree with you but turns around and does the opposite. He has temper tantrums – a lot of temper tantrums.”
“Michelle is a complete bitch who basically hates anybody who is not black, hates the military and looks at the Secret Service as servants.”

Kessler’s book is a stark contrast to most Secret Service Special Agents who don’t tell about the people they served. I (and I expect Race Bannon) knew a lot of Secret Service agents and a few served on a task force that I ran for a while. Unlike other federal agencies, I found the men and women of the Secret Service to be universally sincere, hard working and dedicated to their professions.

  1. Mean while back at the ranch… Another book to put on my reading list… Not sure I have the stomach to read more about the characters of our presidents of late. It's depressing as all get out.

  2. I agree that neither Obama nor Clinton have any shame, but at least Clinton had run a state as a governor. The current Organizer in Chief has no credentials, no credibility, no ability, no good ideas, no leadership ability, and no shame.

  3. Reagan's unabashed pride in America angered the progressives who would rather see the nation founder.

  4. Maybe there's something to look forward to in November?

Poll: 71% of Obama voters, 55% Democrats 'regret' voting for his re-election

  5. OK, revisiting this page, why did looking at these three presidents make me want to throw up a little?

  6. I have issues with Kessler, but it always seems to me that he gets the truth from the perspective of the individual agent. I guess they are already supplementing, or planning, for Hillary's run…there is not enough money in the Treasury…

  7. I've never understood why you couldn't be cordial and respectful with someone who's soul purpose in life was to protect your life. Three real low class A$$wipes.

  8. Heard the same from friends that flew Marine One… And both Bushes were well liked by the troops in HMX-1 and on AF-1

  9. People who are rude to those who protect them are slap crazy They have such faith in the system they hate that they believe it will work in their favor 100% of the time..

  10. Yes, both father and son Bush were loved, but the Democrats weren't. I can't understand why that would be…

  11. It made me want to throw up a lot.

Even the thought of having Hillary run the big show makes me lose my appetite.
