Where did all that money go?

Washington’s Medicaid spending exploded—from $7.8B to $42B in just over a decade. But doctors still aren’t getting paid enough to take Medicaid patients. The ObamaCare fiasco is at the root of the situation, combined with giving Medicaid to illegal aliens and the COVID pork.

During the Senate Finance Committee hearing on Thursday, Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) went on the offensive with HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. over vaccine mandate changes. Kennedy was quick to point out that Warren receives huge funds from pharmaceutical companies:

WARREN (cue the sound of tom-tom drums in the background): “Honoring your promise that you made when you were looking to get confirmed in this job, that is, you promised that you would not take away vaccines from anyone who wanted them. You just changed the classification of the COVID-19 vaccine.”

RFK JR: “I’m not taking them away from people, senator.”

WARREN: “It takes it away if you can’t get it from your pharmacy.”

RFK JR: ”Most Americans will be able to get it from their pharmacy for free. Most Americans will get it from their pharmacy —”

WARREN: “The question is, everyone who wants it, that was your promise.”

RFK JR: “I never promised I would recommend products for which there is no indication. I know you’ve taken $855,000 from pharmaceutical companies —”

WARREN: “That you hold a big sign saying you were lying when you said that? You are the one who said you would not take them away.”

RFK JR: “I’m not taking them away from anybody. You want me to indicate a product for which there is no clinical data? Is that what you want?”

My first question to any doctor will be “Do you believe a person can change their sex?” If they say yes…or hem and haw, I’m outta there….but not before telling them they need a new job. Anyone advocating for 72-76 “shots” from birth to age 18 because some CDC government bureaucrat says so…is mentally ill.

The ‘nudge’ finally sat back down in her 36B seat.

  9. The major reasons Medicaid spending increased isn’t doctors charging more or hospitals charging more or even illegal aliens getting said Medicaid.

    First reason, of course, is the huge jump in medication prices thanks to lobbying and actions by Sen. Clinton/SecState Clinton that caused medication prices to jump immensely. This is where the price of an Epi-Pen went from $50 to $500 overnight. Same costs affected everyone across the board.

    Second reason, partially due to Obamacare, is the huge increase of bureaucratic bullshit and regulations that filled the space between the US Treasury and the end users. That, that right there, is most of the cost, far outstripping the radical rise in prescriptions.
