Caption: A state of insanity featuring cheerful delusions.

If you had one song to listen to (only that song) for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Bullet Points:
** Ephesians 6:12 (NIV) (paraphrased) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world, and the spiritual forces of evil.
** It would be great if we could all stop listening to people who want to see us dead.
** If your college degree doesn’t have enough value for you to pay it off, it doesn’t have enough value for me to pay it off.
** This day in history – On April 22, 1970, a trio of radical schemers established Earth Day, an event cleverly crafted to assault capitalism, free markets, and humankind.
** How do you become “Queen of the Karens?” Given the number of Karens in the society, it takes concentrated effort…”She’s a vegetarian. She hates cars. And white men flying on planes. She supports race-based reparations, rioting, and the Black Lives Matter movement. She believes America is addicted to white supremacy.”
She doesn’t want to become a mother because “the planet is literally burning.” She uses phrases such as “CIS white mobility privilege” unironically. She admits to growing up “feeling superior … because I was from New England and my part of the country didn’t have slaves.” I wonder what fuels her sense of superiority now.
** (h/t Claudio) I’ve heard much about what RFA covers in the article, and this report is credible. Something to consider: In the People’s Republic of China, everything (literally) is illegal. The question is which laws the government will decide to enforce and on whom. The liberal elite in America looks at what’s going on there with a sense of envy. If only there weren’t 500 million firearms in private hands (and trillions of rounds of ammunition), they could do it too.
** Thoughts on 5G technology.
** Chinese assessment of Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA): “Assessed as utterly devoid of a sentient conscience. Notions of right or wrong did not occupy his thoughts. Neither does patriotism nor loyalty to God or family or country. He is concerned only about himself.” –It’s interesting that America’s premier law enforcement agency had this at hand and kept Rep. Swalwell on the House Intelligence Committee with clearance intact.

Quietly

Identify the Aircraft
No photoshopping was involved.

Identify the Tank

Identify the Aircraft:
1. Hillson FH.40, Hawker Hurricane with a slip-wing
2. Fairchild C-123 Provider
Identify the Tank:
3. Panzerjäger I. Didn’t we have this recently?
Yes – and we did have a Panzerjäger recently, but a different photo, different angle. I’m running out of unique tanks.
I was wondering when that would happen….
The supply is finite.
You could always go by SERNO…..
Yes, a Fairchild C-123 Provider. Looking at the aviators uniform I would say the aircraft was operated by Air America. Most probably in Laos, but could also have been in South Vietnam. We rode on these aircraft on the odd occasion although, usually, when using Air America, we rode on Beech 18’s.
Exactly, an Air America C-123 Provider.
I guessed the 123 correctly! (that makes it a big day for me!)
A lot of C-123 aircraft that were used for cargo and personnel hauling missions were also used at times to spray herbicide (including Agent Orange) across SE Asia. Less known, they did the same thing in Colombia and Peru, spraying Spike under Southern Air Transport livery.
Don’t forget agent blue, arsenic based herbicide, was used to make the rice paddies not fertile. Obviously that helped remove food from our enemy, but also alienated the locals by starving them.
Well, we had to use up the stock we started building for the destruction of Japan so…
And, no, not kidding. We could have bombed them with nukes or blockaded them and destroyed their cities and forests and farms with Agent Orange and seeded the clouds to cause flooding. You know, just like what we did in North Vietnam.
Hard to pick just 1 song , But “Let The Bodies Hit the Floor ” might work
BTW I like the New Format ,easier to read.
The link to the 5G video that is total bullshit. The radio spectrum for 5G was part of the C band satellite band range. The same frequency range that is used for you kitchen microwave oven,
So, you can use the guts and horn from a kitchen microwave, feed it a bit of power and jam 5G communications?
I was thinking along the same lines, Cederq. Maybe something to boost the signal?
C-Band is 4~8GHz. Microwave ovens operate at 2.45GHz, in the S-Band range.
“Variations on a Theme by Erik Satie” (1st Movement only) from the second album by Blood, Sweat & Tears. But only if there’s an off button. You need a break from anything sometimes.
BTW, that Seinfeld thing is the perfect response. Nothing to see here, move along.
In a Gadda de Vida, Iron Butterfly extended drum solo… that would be a song to listen too and drive others bonkers(Yes, a valid psychiatric term,) Yes, I would on off or pause switch to bask in solitude.
Brutal.
Also used in Manhunter/Red Dragon.
Song selection – dare I ask for The Song of Songs?
Good choice.
I was thinking When the Bullet Hits the Bone.
Yours is better.
Does ‘the sound of ocean waves’ count as a song?
Katherine Maher – An operative of the evil one. Call them out every time they pop their ugly heads up, like a societal Whack-A-Mole.

If a habromaniac is “a state of insanity featuring cheerful delusions” then what do we call the demented ones like Maher? How about: Hubrismaniac…”a state of insane hatred for the normal and good while featuring angry delusions”?
—
Case in point: Listened to Stigall’s program (had PDJT on…always refreshing to hear “normal convicted leadership”). Stigall had on two parents who attended the Pennbrook (PA) School Board Meeting (around the corner from my early stomping grounds) after a “trans” boy (no such thing…”mentally ill cross-dresser with stupid parents”) attacked and seriously beat on a middle school girl with his Stanley water bottle, putting her in the hospital. The School Board refused to identify this boy, instead covered for him under the guise of “due process/innocent until proven guilty” crap while the teenage girl was in the hospital with severe injuries. #1, this boys parents need to be held accountable for their sons insanity. #2) The Board and school counselors are culpable and should be held accountable for their inaction when ignoring concerns by girl students. #3) These are the types of people, as Maher above, who have infiltrated every position of influence in society, like a cancer. What used to be illegal and prosecutable these people have made “normal”.

As EdB commented yesterday, and you reiterated today, WE ARE fighting against “the rulers” who are working for the Evil One. We The People need to step up and excise the rot…using whatever means necessary. Time For A Reset ™
Hotel California..I think of Nancy Pelosi and the corrupt Democratic Party every time I hear it.
I was thinking along the lines of Das Rheingold – Entry of the Gods into Valhalla. (Wagner) Maybe a bit too pretentious? Or expand my vision to include all of Der Ring des Nibelungen?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b80Jw8MuZxo
Was it Mark Twain who noted “Wagner’s music is better than it sounds?
In my younger years ( until 10 ) I was raised with a full length stereo cabinet as a primary source of the outside world. Unless we were visiting somewhere, I had no view of a T.V. or heard radio songs.
My mother’s album collection of classical music and 7 years of piano lessons laid a foundation that, as an adult, I’ve never taken for granted.
Song: The Parting Glass, this version–

Quietly. My Ruger is a bit of of an odd duck, Kentucky Fried combo. Bottom half is from my MKI I bought new in 1978. Top half is an 8-inch SS heavy barrel by AMT that I bought a few years later. A few years later, Ruger sued AMT and won. “I say lads, I believe that’s our patent you’re infringing on”.
Tech note–For anyone with a MKI that has a tired recoil spring, the kit sold by Volquartsen for the MKII and above also fits the MKI.
Do you differentiate between the Standard Model and the Mark 1? (Maybe it’s an old guy thing.)
My favorite version of The Parting Glass is the Tullamore Dew one.
Larry, I too like the new version.
Yes, when in the company of Olde Phartes like us. Doing so seems to confuse some younger folks. I’m happy to educate them, but that is not always welcome.
It doesn’t matter what song it was, if it was all you had to listen to you would soon come to despise it.
Point made. If you go to Hell, I expect that it will be the same song over and over in your head for eternity.
LL, think of the song, “Red Rubber Ball” played on a looping track forever in Dante’s 9 circles at different ear piecing volumes.
Habromaniac? Add an “s” after “Ha” and you have new Transformer bad guy!
My song would be “Misirere mei, Deus” by Gregorio Allegre and sung (acapella) by the King’s College, Cambridge choir. I have been in a choir that sang it and find that it is the most bueatiful piece of music I have heard. It is Psalm 51 set to music “Have mercy on me Lord….”.
You didn’t specify a mute button so I will go with no song, only silence.
Ruger. I own a few Ruger pistols and have one similar to the one in the picture which is my dedicated porcupine gun. They are accurate, inexpensive, and easy to clean. Well except for the FDE one. That finish is a pain in the butt to maintain especially if you are using a suppressor.
Earth Day. Probably has done more harm than good don’t ya think?.
The Sound of Silence = Mute Button? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9Dg-g7t2l4 don’t you find that disturbing?
Wow, that was a disturbed, dystopian schizophrenic delusion. That is going to take some extended therapy and a psychiatric hold.
Probably something by Vivaldi. A greater soul than mine would pick Bach, “old JS who spoke with God in mathematics” as Poul Anderson’s merchant prince and rogue Nicholas Van Rijn said. Van Rijn chose Mozart and not Vivaldi, but same principle. One can’t spend all of one’s time at that exalted height.
Something contemporary (yet centuries old)? How about The Dark Night of the Soul based on St John of the Cross’ writings. (Ignore the images in this video. I dunno why the creator of the vid picked these.)

Hauntingly beautiful.
Personal failure/lacking proper intellect I suppose but I’ve yet to find someone who thinks they are superior, are in fact, superior. Another personal failure, being a mean and vindictive type, I enjoy tripping people who think they are superior. What is even better knowing they won’t know they were tripped until some time later. Warms my evil heart.
The DC Beltway, NYC and environs, Martha’s Vineyard, and the San Francisco Bay area are teeming with people who are our betters.
Very high percentage of grifters.
Sadly too many of them (not the actual rich ones) like to vacation down here.
Black dress socks and sandals with Bermuda shorts?
Saw one zoomer in just that garb. Raybans w/beard don’t go with 30# of lard either, but it’s a new generation.
One song? Impossible. Now if you said your ten picks for being stranded on a desert island that would be fun. Ill go with Ennio Morricone’s
The Ecstasy of Gold.
Best if you’re stranded with solar panels to power your stereo.
Air America C-123, probably out of Long Tien, Laos. And the ‘primary’ use of Agent Orange was defoliating forests where the NVA liked to hide/run in from the Ho Chi Min trail.
Ephesians 6 12-17 ESV
12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
