A lot depends on how you classify “evidence” and how you weight it. New research is coming closer to the explanation of how a weaponized COVID-19 works.

(link) A new study published in the peer-reviewed journal Antiviral Research (Vol. 16, April 2020) is entitled, “The spike glycoprotein of the new coronavirus 2019-nCoV contains a furin-like cleavage site absent in CoV of the same clade.”

The CoVid-19 coronavirus contains unique features which allow for more effective human-to-human transmission.
Is it a weaponized form of coronavirus or is it just the flu? It depends on who you talk to. In China (Shanghai to be specific) there are discussions that its RNA sequence makes it more effective against Chinese people. I just report the information. I’m not a researcher.
The study cited above found that there is no known viral ancestry to the CoVid-19 coronavirus, meaning it did not evolve from nature. It was engineered, and the science paper authors also state that the virus contains elements from MERS, stating, “Before the emergence of the 2019-nCoV, this important feature was not observed in the lineage b of betacoronaviruses.”

  1. One way to handle a large surplus population I guess. I wonder if it was meant for release in Hong Kong? It would surely put an end to the protests and demonstrations. I suspect someone in the wuhan lab mishandled/ broke protocol and went for lunch in town.

  2. My sense is, and it's only a guess, that the virus was under development. They were testing it when it somehow rode out of the lab on clothing, or inside one of the workers. And it's a virus, so the rest is history.

  3. It's a virtual certainty that this was an attempt at weaponization of the virus by the Chinese. The evidence for that is overwhelming. The questions we will likely never have answered is who this was being developed for and why. Also did thing get out by accident or was this a deliberate real world test that went awry. The final question is what else do they have inside that bioweapons lab in Wuhan…..or elsewhere. Only a fool would believe this is the only such bioweapons they are cooking up.

  4. EXACTLY!

But we don't have all of the details of how it was released, or by whom, and whether or not the virus released was simply in testing or whether it was the final product.

EVERY lab in China has a role with the ministry of state security and none more significant than the bioweapons laboratory. The fact that they do some civilian related research is not proof of innocence in China. In fact it's a law in China that they pursue projects of military interest.

  5. It is and the spread is significant. 16 new cases in Italy today. More in the US.

Some things that NOBODY knows with the possibility of the Chinese People's Liberation Army:

    – What is the true incubation period? Chinese doctors have said up to 24 days – but it could be longer. So you're walking around for 24 days, infecting people while you have no symptoms.

    – What is the persistence of the virus on certain surfaces? We know up to 5 days, but it could be far longer depending on what it is on.

    – How resistant is this virus to UV light?

    – We suspect that this virus has an HIV RNA component built into the design, and the study cited states this, but is it DESIGNED TO MUTATE? What sort of mutation factors have presented during research and testing? We have learned of mutations in Hubai that are potentially more deadly. Is it true and is it predictable based on research.

  6. It's not a Satan Bug, but it will damage China more than the US based on the current trend. We need to stop ALL GOODS coming from China until we have firm answers. I'm sure that the US Army lab at Ft. Detrich is in full swing on providing some answers, but some like mutation may not present immediately.

  7. We have a CDC facility here, but it's for "Vector Borne Diseases", like Malaria, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and other insect-borne stuff.

  8. Well said Dan. In the meanwhile we need to quarantine like fury. Good luck, global supply chains.

Good call for America first, eh?
