He told Bret Baier that he didn’t think he did anything wrong. Baer gave him three chances to apologize, but he declined. Thus, he returns to Kiev without a deal, with a fantasy that the crowned heads of Europe will bail him out. Putin cautioned President Trump that Skyy is a coked-out little punk. And there we go.
Zelenskyy’s screw up today—a misstep of Biblical proportions was unexpected. Everything had been pre-scripted for him. A trained chimp could have pulled it off. His concerns about longer term security after a deal are understandable. But the notion that you bicker with and lecture the President and Vice President in front of live cameras during what was supposed to be a signing ceremony for a minerals deal was stupid beyond belief.
President Trump was right. While continuing the three-year stalemate is not in the best interest of Ukraine or Russia at this point, Zelenskyy has a weak hand and President Trump is his last best hope of some future for Ukraine. It’s hard to imagine how he could have botched today’s meeting any worse than he did.

I have no idea what happened to Mr. & Mrs. Hackman. Going that way was wrong somehow, given the massive respect I have for Gene Hackman. Without a clear understanding of the CSI and the tox/post mortem, it’s difficult to speculate. I thought carbon monoxide poisoning was high on the probability list, but they ruled that out.

I think Zelensky mistook Trump, and Vance, as more of the grifters that he paid kickbacks for money. He tried his old act, never realizing the audience changed, and wouldn’t be impressed with the show. The only thing that didn’t happen was a large hook coming from behind the curtain to pull him offstage. Europe will throw him to the dogs. They don’t have the money to finance the war in Ukraine, and understand that pissing off the Russians can have disastrous consequences.
The Europeans have a talent for virtue signaling. Beyond that, they won’t bleed for Ukraine either literally or financially.
Reporters surprisingly asked Z-Skyy about his dress and Trump seemed gracious, but I’ll bet it registered poorly with him.

Still have bad allergies, but they’ve been attenuated by good drugs, moving away from the very tropical-plant filled Space Coast and the aforementioned fat. Those Asian Carp (aren’t all carp from Asia?) actually, from what I hear, taste relatively good, better than tilapia (of which I abhor.) And they can at least be used as ‘organic’ fertilizer.
