Why do homosexuals oppose this feature film?
Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia wrote (Lawrence v. Texas) that Americans have every right to enforce “the moral opprobrium that has traditionally attached to homosexual conduct” in order to protect themselves “from a lifestyle that they believe to be immoral and destructive.” The gay lobby was unhappy to hear that because they want straight people to consider their choices to be “normal” and acceptable. Since straight people seem disinclined to do that, they are going on the attack and targeting the feature film, Ender’s Game.

Homosexuals are fighting the stigma attached to their conduct with blacklisting anyone who takes an opinion contrary to their own. The latest target is the upcoming feature film, Ender’s Game.
Will the pressure work, or will it backfire the way the boycott of Chick-fil-A did, with people flooding the fast food chicken restaurant to show support? Gov. Mike Huckabee of Arkansas promoted Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day to counter the Chick-fil-A boycott. Attending Ender’s Game could become a way to express disapproval of gays and lesbians’ choice of in-your-face politics.
(New York Times) The film “Ender’s Game” tells the story of a gifted child sent to a military academy in space to prepare for an alien invasion. It’s catnip for the Comic-Con crowd, and Lionsgate Entertainment wants to position it as November’s big-budget blockbuster. But the studio is encountering an unexpected publicity nightmare: an activist group called Geeks Out (or you can call it “freaks out”) is pushing a boycott of the film, claiming that anyone who pays to see it will effectively be subsidizing antigay “fear-mongering.”
Geeks Out wants to sink the film to punish Orson Scott Card, who wrote the 1985 novel “Ender’s Game” and was one of several producers for the screen adaptation. In 1990, Mr. Card argued in the magazine Sunstone that “laws against homosexual behavior should remain on the books” and “be used when necessary to send a clear message that those who flagrantly violate society’s regulation of sexual behavior cannot be permitted to remain as acceptable, equal citizens within that society.” He was on the board of the National Organization for Marriage, which opposes same-sex unions, from 2009 until this year.
NY Times continues by quoting both Mr. Card and Lionsgate, which have issued statements in response to the boycott movement, emphasizing that “Ender’s Game” has nothing to do with gay rights or really any contemporary debate.
The bad guys in Ender’s game are not homosexuals. In fact, the film has nothing to do with homosexuality. Orson Scott Card does not condone sodomy, and the homosexual lobby takes issue with that. The homosexuals are behaving like Muslims these days, taking a page from their playbook…and it’s odd because we all know that Muslims live to execute sodomites.

Or attend a screening of the film in a theater near you.
Show the boycott how you feel about it.
In the end, I don't think they will have much success – that movie looks cool. I like the idea of his son going to a military academy…
Attending a US military academy=the best education that money can't buy.
I think the term for what these protesters are doing is "Mau-Mau-ing". I could be wrong.
I recently read the book, it was ok, but the idea of six year olds being super-beings was pushing it. Let's face it, it's a story for thirteen year old sci-fi fans. Nothing more or less.
It's stupid. But I guess that there is no such thing as bad publicity for your cause.
