My wild guess as to how Email-gate plays out: since the American voter on average has the memory capacity of a housefly, this little episode (not even a scandal, really) will just go down on the list with all the others that the Vast Rightwing Conspiracy keeps harping on, to nobody in general. Hillary gets the nod as the Dem nominee, and then the pusillanimous GOP guy will never mention it because it will be considered in bad taste.
