Layers

After the first attempt on Trump’s life, Leviathan had a layer peeled back. After the coup against Biden, another layer was revealed. The general trope in the Intelligence business is the seven layers. DOGE may peel another one; if confirmed, as seems likely, Kash Patel could be good for another two. Many “expendable assets” might be gathered up. The People Behind the Curtains will sacrifice any number of pawns and a bishop or a knight where necessary. Get near them, and they will retreat into the shadows. And that’s probably the very best that we can hope for.

A Thought on Where We Are Now

You only get so many years on this Earth and tend to be quite gullible for most of them. You want to believe that the “people in charge” are looking out for the common good, have “your best interests at heart,” are “patriots,” and send their “thoughts and prayers” when their policies create chaos for you or your family. At the same time, the decision-makers remain entirely insulated from the consequences of their choices. The Clintons, Obamas, and Bidens couldn’t manage a 7-11. All they have done is benefit from the public’s resources. Yet, they are all multi-millionaires, living off government funds and the money that flowed in from their insider deals, book deals, speaking fees, influence peddling, and outright corruption.

You can criticize President Trump all you want, but he isn’t in it for the money. Neither is Elon Musk.

The CIA Solution

(Fox News) “The Central Intelligence Agency, in what officials reportedly claimed was an effort to bring the agency in line with Trump’s agenda, offered buyouts to its entire staff on Tuesday. The Wall Street Journal reported that the agency is the first to tell its employees they can quit and get eight months of pay and benefits.”

Director Ratcliffe offered long-tenured officers the option of early retirement. He also halted hiring any officer offered a job late during the Biden administration to ensure their position aligned with the Trump administration’s priorities. Ratcliff’s vision is for a leaner and more aggressive CIA. The CIA is impossibly risk-averse and mired in bureaucracy. Dropping two-thirds of the staff would improve the workforce’s operation immeasurably.

The Gaza Situation

Let me Trump-Splain before everyone loses it.

The US will never “Own” Gaza. President Trump’s popularity will drop 20 points if a US boot hits the ground. He knows this.

The play is bluster, pressuring Egypt and Jordan to take refugees – that’s going to be a heavy lift, but it’s for the “Palestinians” own good. That place is a hellscape of death – and then Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Dubai take the land, develop it, make it habitable, and get even richer—probably a Golf course with President Trump’s name on it. There will undoubtedly be a Trump Hotel.

With a side order of digging a second canal linking Gaza/Israel to the Red Sea. That last part Egypt doesn’t want for obvious reasons, so maybe they’d take some Palestinians to prevent it…?

Nobody wants the Palestinians, but they can’t remain in Gaza. If they do, the Israeli War of Eradication must continue. Dealing with Hamas will fall to Egypt and Jordan, who will quietly eliminate the problem children. They know how to do this. Maybe 50,000 shallow graves in the desert will solve the Hamas problem once and for all. The pay-off to Jordan and Egypt will come quietly through the back door.

I can assure you the bad guys in the Middle East are shaking in their sandals. Iran can call President Trump out if they want to, or they can allow open inspection of weapons development sites. President Trump authorized the transfer of heavy bombs necessary to obliterate those sites to the IDF.

Trump has been POTUS for 16 days…

The American Landscape

The current challenge about politics is that the lightning pace of developments continually makes whatever you write almost immediately outdated. For example, think of the poor Dems who jumped on the “Trump tariffs Colombia” story.

Trump was on the golf course, learned that Colombia’s president said he wouldn’t accept planeloads of Colombian criminals back and fired off a “here come the tariffs” threat. Then he laced a drive down the middle of the fairway on a par 5.

AOC immediately got off her juicy booty [her words, not mine] and wrote a tweet about the apocalyptic coffee shortage that would engulf America in 1000 years of darkness. Ana Navarro started wailing about how she wouldn’t receive any Colombian flowers for Valentine’s Day. (Yes, sweetheart. THAT’S why you won’t be getting flowers!)

But the lefty outrage tweet storm had barely gotten off the launching pad when the Colombian president submitted like Que Mala in a job interview with Willie Brown. Before Trump could putt out on that par 5, he’d won, and the lefty hysterics had to lower their dresses from over their heads quietly and slink away in humiliated silence.

Housekeeping: I’ll be gone for a few more days here and there.

Thought of the Day: The left complained … a lot … about the deportations and cabinet picks and removing trans surgery for minors and backing away from the WHO and just about anything else Trump, but the calls for violence began after the cash cow of USAID was gored.

  1. Gaza, much like tariffs tomorrow or next week or who knows, is simply a smokescreen to dominate the headlines while the billionaires go for the jugular.

  2. Everything, spot on… Trumpsplained it! Running our country from a golf cart is not par for the course. It’s an birdie of excellence in business with a team that has a heart for their own families future and our families as well. It just makes simple math sense to this nail pounder. As the demolition party has proven, repeating the same moves as using the same rhetoric and expecting different results = IN SANITY. I don’t care how much China gets broke, let the ” Texas” long horns gore every last turncoat!

        1. X2 to all above…well said “nail pounder”…only real people with real jobs understand why “that side” does nothing productive. Mike Morgan (Outdoors with the Morgans…good channel), a blaster by trade, now woodmill operator on his legacy rural property near Butler, PA (yeah, he was there that day), said the ATF would show up unannounced, had to drive back to the main office no matter where he was…for a paperwork audit. As long as his blasting record and the blasting truck BOL matched they were happy. That was supposed to verify nothing was missing…because…safety and nefariousness. He said, “This was stupid because I could easily lie on my record…never did but easily done. But they didn’t care, it was all about one piece of paper matching the other…which it always did. And they’d send 3 guys to do this – on our tax nickel – while interrupting my actual work for an entire day.”
          – This all ends soon.

  3. in no way will I/can I speak for American Jews, but …
a number of us, the guys, Americans all, mostly very far Right (as the MSM have labelled us), 100% Constitutionalists, who volunteered to do our bit; traditionalist Jews, not Liberals, not the guys who wear their yarmulkes at you, are wondering just what the H… DJT is doing.
Yes, the Holocaust is always in the back of our minds, but October 7th is very much in the forefront
we’re all Trumpists (Trumpians? and please no one make the comment about blowing the shofar) sitting here worried, waiting

  4. What is the saying, no plan survives the first contact with the enemy?
So far, Trump’s plans are surviving much better than the swamps?
    Channeling his inner Patton?

    1. …and will continue to do so as they scramble to figure out why there’s no more stolen water coming out of their taps. We The People are amused by their response.

      1. Read somewhere: Keep your friends close, and your enemies on the run. So far, Trump has been doing a good job of keeping the internal enemies on the run…mostly they appear to be running in circles, and it’s fun to watch.

  5. “No one voted for Musk”- So. Appointees are just that, so what? Funny when their ox is getting gored they forget their own hypocrisy, like That Genius AOC bloviating that this particular tech billionaire is not smart enough to hold the job….while she drives one of his cars demonstrably the best consumer EV out there, or rockets to outer space that get “caught” on reentry. Nah, not smart. Can’t make this stuff up if you tried (as they continue to write the comedy script for us).

  6. he’s got me worried w/ this gaza business. hope its a bluff of some sort….funny how all of their “czars” are just fine but trump’s aren’t. its hilarious watching them trot ol shumer and buttface waters out to rally support though. talk about out of touch. and making hogg vice chair? idiots.

  7. Musk understands ‘zero based budgeting’, and so does Trump. And THAT is what is happening to the US budget right now, which is why the left is melting down. All of their ‘hidden’ funding to various places/organizations/people is getting exposed AND cut off!

    1. And happening at breakneck speed…because the A-Team came in prepped and ready to rumble. The Dems etc never knew what hit them, still don’t because “that’s not how it’s done in DC”. Oh well, tough darts. Either lead, follow, or get out of the way…as they stumble about.

  8. The first rule of a bureaucracy is: protect the bureaucracy (and the bureaucrats therein). DOGE is up against that fact, but Elon can do it if anyone can.
