It’s a hybrid. Take a shot. It passed into civilian hands. For extra points, identify its last owner. He recently passed away, so there may be a new last owner.
Hint: a Rolls-Royce Dart 510 turboprop powers it.

That’s pretty darn good, Surly. The firmware update is showing results…still waiting for SkyNet to go fully active and deploy terminators to inner city neighborhoods.
One of my dad’s retired friends was a Hustler driver. Strange dude. Apparently most Hustler drivers were not the norm for bomber pilots, more fighter pilotish.
As to #2, helps that the name is on the nose…
I did notice that the Covid advice is from April 2022. So it’s hopefully not being followed any more if ever.
I asked my sister a highly trained midwife and Nurse with 3 degrees and 40 years experience. She
was horrified at the idea of giving drugs without consent.
The overkill response to Covid cost me two tenants and them their livelihood. One had been in business for 43 years.
Late on 30th here. Hope everyone has a safe new year.
I had lunch with a friend yesterday. It cost his wife her job. I also know people who were cashiered from the military for refusing the toxic vax.
AND I no longer take flu shots. I’m very selective before consenting to a vax.
In 2005 I developed a (thank God) mild Guillain Barre variant after a flu shot. Have taken no shots/jabs/pseudo-vaxes since. I don’t get sick much either.
I retired after 48 yrs as an RN on 05/31/2020. My employer begged me to stay on in ER, then to come back. Then they instituted their vax mandate. Eff’em.
In a way I feel like my life’s history has been robbed from me by a gigantic cheat.
When I see what I worked at become corrupted, I feel the same way that you do. My life’s effort was robbed as well.
Larry,
I have shunned ALL injections and my doctor now only asks to confirm my stance without trying to push the snake oil. No Chi-Com Xi Flu jabs or boosters, no annual flu shot, no shingles, pneumonia or RSV, etc. When it comes time for my 10 year DPT booster, it must be done like this; they bring me a sealed syringe, a sealed vial of drug, and the matching data sheet. After I read the sheet and am sure it contains no “poison” they will unseal the syringe and vial, draw up the required dose in front of me, and immediately plunge the needle in my arm. If they refuse to do this, I will immediately walk out and go somewhere that will accommodate my wishes.
Sound policy.
I do that too. Peeves them to no end, but I tell them I don’t trust any syringe or vial now. Open it in front of me and draw it out and infuse then.
Wife and I no longer take any flu vax.
Then there’s the Shingles Vax, which costs an arm and a leg. The effective one requires two shots. So that’s both arms and legs. And it’s about 75% effective at the best. The anti-fibrils and anti-biotics to quickly take care of an actual Shingles flair-up? About $10.00 – $20.00 on most insurance plans. And pretty much 100% effective.
My wife is suffering, and I mean suffering, PHN from Shingles she got over a year ago.
I got the shots.
It’s a crap-shoot, EdB. I had chicken pox as a child and as an adult. Brutal as an adult. My MD said that the vaccine could TRIGGER shingles if I took it. He said that I had to play the odds.
I had ‘the worst case of shingles’ my doctor ever saw. Upper right quarter of face, I thought it was poison ivy or some other allergic reaction because that’s how it presented itself.
A week of hell followed by 2 days of drugs that stopped it dead right there.
As LL said, it’s crapshoot. There’s a chance I’ll get shingles again, but there’s an equal chance the vaccine will cause shingles. Meh. A little suffering never hurt me, much.
fwiw-
having worked the medical Industry since 1973, things are worse than readily known.
for instance, almost all medications and surgical instruments are in pooh land (typically to their “standards”. bean counters rule the medical industry.)
Beginning in early 10’s, we began noticing that emergency medications ( initially atropine and lidocaine) were frequently ineffective. Using the hospital’s lab, it was confirmed some doses were saline water. Alone. Without the prime component. Some patients died. I can’t help but wonder if proper medication at proper time may have resulted in more optimal outcomes.
Over time, antibiotics, creams and pills/capsules became less dependable as well. Some doctors spoke with the head pharmacist to no effect. Attempted conversations with the hospital administrator yielded nothing. (He stated his hands are tied. This is a Large national hospital chain, and corporate hq determines contractors, supply sources etc.)
Corporate hq had very little interest. Efforts to speak during annual shareholder meetings were not permitted.
Several, including my self, exited the medical field during this time (this was only one troublesome trend which is ongoing (think turdeau’s latest preferred method of medical care).
As to the vacks thing, I haven’t been personally involved, but person’s in the industry I have known and worked with for decades have warned me of “things” in most if not all vacks, as well as dentists tell me of “things” in lidocaine they use. Things that don’t belong and wholesaler/distributors assure them they are as ordered and free of “impurities”.
I’m not trying to go down any rabbit holes, I will state the last 10-12 years have caused me to question many many things. I think we all here grew up in a high trust society and serve our country and fellow citizens. Sometimes I wonder if I am wise to continue on the assumption that this is a country worthy of that belief.
Thanks to and for all here! I visit daily and pray for and thank all.
:(
Oh, I’ve got a story or two. None of which I can detail. Not so much for the doxxing myself part as the opening up myself and my people to legal action (that we’d assuredly lose) part. Sticky things, those NDAs. Because it’s not about the spirit of the research study, nor the good of the patients, but about logic-chopping, rules lawyering, weasel wording “depends on the meaning of ‘is’ “ type legalisms. How you define clinical end points and reportable events is important, leave it at that.
As to your “a high trust society and serve our country and fellow citizens. Sometimes I wonder if I am wise to continue on the assumption”. Big Medicine (Pharma and Devices) is truly international. And stereotypes don’t come from nowhere “for no reason at all”. Data from the US, Canada, Australia tends to be reliable and generally competently done. UK also. Western Europe generally is good (the caveat is that some stuff we in US/Canuckland/AUS have done by techs is done by MDs in WEuro. Think senior enlisted vs officers. Officers/MDs are for shit when it comes to following protocols properly. It’s the arrogance, I think. Former USSR? Fuhgedaboutit. Often crap quality data, if not outright fabricated. (Georgia – the country – was shut down for clinical trials last year due to SO many irregularities. Kazakhstan is the new hotness. I’m involved in a few trials just ramping up there. We shall see….) Poland is also somewhat hot. Interestingly, they have way more pretty damned good operators (surgeons, interventional cardiologists) than you might expect, compared with other Warsaw Pact survivors. I think they’re attractive for clinical trials because it’s a poor nation vs the West, so trials are cheaper to run, and there are more persons willing to undergo experimental procedures because they don’t have other options. Japan: meticulous data, exactly per protocol, but little creative flair. Had a few cases (anecdotes, not enough for statistical robustness) where there were avoidable bad outcomes because of slavish adherence to protocol. (An American or most Euro teams would have said, “fuck protocol, we’ll take the hit of a Protocol Deviation because the protocol clearly didn’t anticipate this particular problem”. But the Japanese don’t do that kind of cowboy stuff.) ROK I have no experience, but PKG tells me it’s like Japan in terms of following authority blindly. PRC? More like former USSR than anything else. Israel? (A hotbed of medical innovation, BTW.) Some companies are great. Others rules lawyer like you wouldn’t believe. Really really bad. And those same are highly aggressive (like emailing you daily, and calling your private cell number that you never gave them) about getting you to change your report to reflect what they want rather than what you actually measured. I’m lucky in that so far “my” Israeli contacts are on the straight and narrow, but unfortunately not all are like that. TL;DR is that Five Eyes countries are generally pretty reliable on the clinical trials front, but there are plenty of places in the world where you’d be nuts to trust the “data”.
That clip, geez Louise, where do these people learn to parrot the non-answers? Sitting there arrogantly saying nothing of substance when asked directly. And he’s some low-level, had the same with thise running DOJ, FBI, etc…like they owe us nothing when asked. Now these same types are fiddling with fridges and freezers, like they did with washers and toilets. Granholm is a menace…where in The Constitution gives these failed HOA types the right to regulate toilets? Hell, they can’t (won’t) even protect our borders…kind of a basic deal.
We have effectively become slaves to anarchy and are sliding into totalitarianism at the hands of a bunch of power hungry mentally challenged morons, most of whom have no idea what end of a screwdriver to use. Mr.Haircut simply would not give a straight answer…my dad would have set me right if I did that “I don’t know” bravo sierra act.
Time to defund the Federal Government, it is out of control. If enough taxpayers simply stopped paying into a corrupt system it would send a message…without firing a shot. What are they gonna do, arrest everyone for noncompliance to their anarachy?
We need to reduce some of these federal regulator numbers by across-the-board cuts and not hire new employees until they’re 50% or less of current strength. It’s way beyond out of control.
Minimally. It’s become The Federal Leviathan, no longer for We The People but for itself…has been for fifty years, only now it’s massively worse. Untenable. People trying to keep their heads above water, at this stage doing drown-proofing on everyday life, have no recourse. Something’s gotta give.
Not sure of the exact numbers, but read a blurb that in 1958 cars were 15% of income, houses %25, groceries 10%…now they are something like 45%, 85%, and 35%.
Respectfully Paul, it’s “for Us The People” (objective case pronoun, object of the preposition).
That rumbling you hear is my Freshman high school English teacher rotating in his grave. I still remember my first day in his class (September 1950) being asked which was the correct word in a test sentence, giving the correct answer, and being asked, “Why?” I said, “Because it sounds right.” Mr. Vaughan then said, “I will accept that answer today only. After today I want case and reason.”
You are grammatically correct…my use of We The People is a direct echoing of The United States Constitution for affect, something our elected officials took an oath to uphold but seemingly forgot directly after making the statement.
the beast is no longer running on tax money, but on federal reserve digits derived from loaning itself money. the beast no longer needs us to survive. we are well and truly screwed, for now, but at some point the worker bees stop working when their digits don’t add up to a living any more. unfortunately we have to destroy our lives to kill the beast.
Truth. The Beast is the only ever self-perpetual motion machine devised by man. Time to pull the plug and throw wrench into the worx, otherwise it’s gonna get messy.
How much fuel, food, ammunition, or vehicles does an army manufacture? Any armed force larger than a street gang needs a tax base to supply its logistical tail. The symbiosis between government and the ruled is not mutualism (both benefit), it is parasitism (government benefits, the ruled are harmed). Government exists due to voluntary obedience.
As Riverrider points out, US Treasury no longer relies on the sales of bonds. We buy them back from ourselves. So the money we use as legal tender – the Federal Reserve Notes – are generally worthless. The value is one of totally perceived value.
DC is filled with magicians, creating wealth out of thin air while employing misdirect.
The essence of “the Swamp”.
In Communist China, many of the big factories and businesses are owned by the PLA.
Fiat currencies have value, ultimately, because if you don’t surrender some number of them on April 15 the government employees kill you. Fiat currency is the petrodollar for citizens. ‘Want to continue living? Then you must participate in the dollar system!’ But note however once the government is ‘monetizing the debt’ aka paying one credit card with another aka issuing fiat backed by nothing aka clipping coins aka official counterfeiting, historically legislatures won’t stop the exponential growth of currency issuing and that is hyperinflation. The US national currency has been hyperinflated twice already, once during the revolutionary war and once during the war of Northern excise tax collection on agricultural exports: mises.org/library/mystery-banking
Government only continues if it can do “tax” collection of actual real wealth, capital goods, raw materials and tools, stuff which can be turned into fuel, food, ammunition, or vehicles. But armies can’t live off the land anymore, not in the suburbs, there is not enough gasoline and enslavable skilled labor and factories located there. The ‘let’s put labor into a zoo called suburbs which is sterile of capital’ has now reached the end of its usefulness. Government is not actually Santa Claus and can’t actually print wealth by magic, because there are no federal elves at the North Pole making fuel, food, ammunition, or vehicles. There is no such thing as ‘a minority of population calling itself ‘government’ magically enslaves you by magic’ unless you yourself voluntarily climbs with your own two feet onto the boxcar. Just don’t do that.
So to be a good DHS executive all I need to do is read a script, act ignorant, and be DEI?
DEI is critical. It helps to be a POC or self-identify as a POC. Having significant gender issues is also a plus. When being hired if they take you to the bank of restrooms and ask you to go wash your hands and you can’t decide which one to go to, you could be hired on the spot.
Most of them don’t just act ignorant. A lot of them have marching orders – admit nothing, deny everything, change the subject, demand proof, make counterallegations and find a scapegoat. Rep Crane, a retired Navy Special Warfare Operator/SEAL has the ability to cut to the bone.
“canned answers” heh. Crane was surgical.
I would propose those producing canned answers be henceforth known as “candy dancers” because history rhymes.
Tap dancers is the moniker I give them…which is infuriating if I let it get to me.
They just read the script that their minders gave them to read.
Must be nice to build a large portfolio by doing nothing, or minimally, bad acting reciting lines written by the Cabal. Shame truly knows no bounds with these bums…normals would be ashamed of themselves and go hide in the closet for a week, not do like that POS from Maine running around championing her asinine state-level banning of a political opposition candidate. Then – despite my dressing her down in an email that likely got spam-canned without being read because I’m one of the unwashed peons she supposedly works for – Ms. Unmarried at 39 Dem Operative Colorado Sec. O’ State publicly applauding her for astounding bravery and courage. Only Satan could conjure up such lunacy.
Must be nice to build a large portfolio by doing nothing, or minimally, bad acting reciting lines written by the Cabal. I’ll run that past Doctor Jill Biden and see what she says.
Catch her in a bad day and she might turn you to stone with one look.
Come to think of it, when Satan says Watch this! the Swamp Rats take that as a Hold my beer challenge.
The ATAGI advisory is highly unethical, by traditional Western standards that place individual autonomy over nearly anything else (so long as the specific individual is not infringing on the liberty of other individuals; which is as it should be). Many Eastern cultures would however place “group” or “social” wants over individual liberty. Which is a huge argument against immigration of persons from such cultures. (Yes, like “my” people, Chinese, for example, as well as other East Asians. Go ahead, accuse me of anti-Sinotism. But EAs are not nearly as harmful as South Asians who have all that, plus rules-lawyering, corruption, claimed self-pity and genuine resentment born of “colonization trauma”, and ludicrous levels of lechery. (Yes yes, NAXALT and all that. So what? Trends and tendencies are real. I’m terrible at being a Chinaman, but the fact that I’m like 3+ SD out from standard EA attitudes (and probably 2 SD out from most whites for that matter) doesn’t invalidate what I said about Asians in general.)
But even more harmful than the Asian attitude of group wants over individual liberty is the paternalistic attitude of “we know what’s best for you, a competent adult, and we will do it unto you regardless of what you want FOR YOUR OWN GOOD.” Yet somehow that’s who we’ve got in power in so much of the fallen West.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=eTDdDgr-xYo
Mike_C, what the paternalistic, elitist prick, Larry Fink (was Finkelstein) from Black Rock misses is that even though he manages $9 trillion in assets, people can force behavior on him as well. (They are trying to buy up every piece of land in America – literally.) Good catch on the YouTube video. I’ve seen him make similar statements elsewhere.
Fink and friends don’t want to know what it feels like to get a taste of their own medicine.
Really? All I could find in a cursory search (long ago) was that he came from the Finks of Van Nuys, CA. Coulda been Garfinkels also, I guess. (Or something else entirely. Hard to figure what sounds good to a non-English speaking immigrant* trying to pick a name, assuming that the VN Finks made their way from Eastern Europe, but I digress.)
The top finance guys (totally unelected, mind you), I’d argue have WAY more actual power than the average Congressional rep or even Senator. Scary, that. But on a lower level, the Public Health guys (MD, PhD and MPH/MPP types) are mostly know-it-all, highly prescriptive little totalitarians. I used to attend/present at the major cardiovascular epidemiology (de facto public health) annual meeting, but I ended up not being able to tolerate the company nor the agenda(s). The conference also went from mostly pale-skinned people to about 25-30% “visible minority” Sun People, which only made things worse because it went from highly quantitative** to much more anecdotal. The reader can draw his own (hateful and racist) conclusions about whether the demographic change was causally related to the dumbing down of the meeting.
* good names. So while being sick as the proverbial dog with some sort of lung-and-snot crud since Christmas, I made the mistake of looking at Chinesium crap on AliExpress. Bicycle parts to be precise. Some just brazenly labeled their knockoffs with trade names owned by other people. Others tried to wing it, whereupon hiliarity ensued. I’m highly tempted to order some “aerodynamic” components cheerfully labeled “Break Wind” in huge neon letters. Whahahaha! Also somewhat tempted to get a “DRCKHROS” saddle (seat). I think they’re riffing off of “ROCKBROS” which is a mountain biking brand. The attempt to “pattern recognition” Western trademarks makes me wonder if the AliExpress crap is at least as targeted internally (PRC specifically, Asia generally) as it is targeted towards the US. (Yeah, I can overthink anything, apparently.)
** highly quantitative. So a lot of these public health analyses are run from real world datasets (good) with high percentages of missing variables (not good; eg only 60% of variable X, say, serum albumin level, was reported). You COULD toss out the 40% of respondents who are missing albumin levels, but then your sample size and statistical power go way down (because someone else is missing HDL cholesterol which is also in your statistical model, and it ain’t the same people missing albumin, you get the idea). So instead “imputation” is done whereby the
missing variables are filled in (imputed) based on essentially clever guesswork. Then someone way smarter than me runs some very complicated statistical analyses. So a lot of work goes into it, but from my knuckle-dragger’s perspective, it’s sort of a house of cards. That expression about watching sausage being made applies here. ☹️
I hope that breaking wind on your bike propels you to new heights.
Maybe Garfinkle.
Stick “rat” before “fink,” and the moniker is completely valid.
:)
That aliexpress grabage is often made in the same factories as the ‘real’ stuff. Yet the stinking corpse in the White House and the brain-dead in Congress refuse to do anything about it.
Good point about same factories. If they are so brazen as to use the same designs, the product itself might be fine. (Unethical, but quality.) Decades ago, I found cheap (like 25% US retail) Patagonia parkas in Hong Kong (still British back then) that seemed genuine. Prolly fell off of the truck.
Interestingly there were also unbranded garments of similar high-quality fabrics, zippers, and construction, but absolutely terrible design. Clearly designed by someone from a hot climate who’d likely never seen snow. Think 750 goose down parka with no way to cinch up at the waist or the sleeve cuffs, that sort of thing.
“Buying up every piece of land)
Contrarian mood this morning. In the aftermath of the Civil War/War of Northern Aggression wealthy Europeans, mainly British, bought many western ranches. It took three or four generations to break them by taxes and local resistance. Another example was the Japanese purchase of the Mt Werner ski hill in Steamboat Springs. The Rout County Assessor taxed their asses into oblivion and the county commissioners wouldn’t plow the roads.
As to the metastatic spread of government I have no ready answer except to socially shun government employees.
Hollyweird did the same when a lot of the studios were sold to the Japs in the 80’s. Looked good on paper but the maskrova was so deep that even Hollywood lawyers couldn’t decipher the bullscat.
Is a tetanus booster still needed after ten years?
I still get tetanus shots/boosters. Others can tell you if they’re valid.
Careful tho, MrsPaulM reluctantly got a booster but saw the packaging, “T-DAP”, said no because she only wanted tetanus. Was told it’s no longer available. Ever since (10 months now) has had a sore deep muscle, and as one who knows vaccines figures a bad reaction to the adjuvant. (Sidebar: I believe modern levels of dementia is due to aluminum in cookware, antiperspirants, and early vaccine adjuvants. Kids are getting 40-70 different “vaccines”, and so many can’t eat a PBnJ without going to hospital or have “special needs”. Not anti-vax (that would be moronic), just suspicious and cautious.
Well thank goodness I got a regular unadulterated tetanus booster last year. That should last me a good long while. If I still had it I would have to thank that rusty nail.
Why combine Tetanus and DPT? What about periodic tetanus boosters? Are they blended with the bordetella pertussis in all cases going forward? Why?
I had a tetanus booster 2 or 3 years ago, but I don’t think that it was a T-DAP. They’re still trying to push the toxic Covid vax and the cold vax on me. I guess the same with all of you.
From DrMrsPaulM: The reason no cold (coronavirus) vaccine exists is because we don’t have the technology to make one as it morphs so quickly, been trying for decades without success. (Not her entire treatise, the gist.)
But they did Covid in 6 months. Yeah, right.
T-Dap thing, not sure…and she’s royally frosted for getting it.
There are solo Tetanus boosters out there. It’s what the ER gives you after a particularly nasty case of blood-out-of-body-due-to-wound.
As to getting a diphtheria booster, better get it now before the Fall when diphtheria (and cholera) come rushing back to kill millions.
Firm believer in keeping up the tetanus and diphtheria immunity…
OT (and OM(F)G): halfway through Reacher S2E5.
What happened? Everyone is an idiot, and so are the physics of projectiles. Sad. Very sad.
And I thought the “heels maneuver” from E4 was the peak of ridiculous. ☹️
I gave up on Reacher S2 at E3. It just wasn’t worth the electrons and my time. I’m watching the 3 month free Apple TV – Invasion. My daughter recommended it. I’m at S1E3 and still don’t know what’s going on.
Media is so messed up.
We’re watching it as a good excuse to have popcorn. Seems flat.
Thanks for the heads up, was going to start watching it after New Years (as wife said no doom-gloom murder-death-kill shows at all during the 12 days of Christmas, of which I heartily agree.) So now one more show not to watch. Dammit, Amazon, are you trying to out-stupid Netflix?
Haven’t had a flu shot in several decades. Feel better for it.
Surely we haven’t been scammed by Pharma.
The demented pedophile and whore are there to protect us.
Crane did good! And no shots here either…
