There are great artists performing spectacularly today. Halestorm is one of those groups. This is a video of an acoustic performance of “All I wanna do is make love to you.” Arejay and Elizabeth “Lzzy” Hale (brother/sister) form the core of the group.
Lzzy Hale doesn’t need a studio’s magic to make her voice remarkable. This rendition of “I’m not an Angel” performed live is an example (in addition to the one above).
Just when I think that most of the talent has leached away from the recording business, I stumble across a band like Halestorm. I’ve been following this group for about three years now and they just get better. If you want to know what a band or artist is really like, you have to listen to the acoustic renditions and live performances (when they’re not lip-syncing).
Damn…. that's some awesome stuff. I love artists who are so good that no tinkering from a producer is needed.
That is outstanding! And her voice is deep enough that I can actually hear her! There IS hope!!!
Wow, and dang pretty too.
This is the first I've heard of this group. Excellent music.
"Familiar Taste of Poison" is my personal Halestorm favorite. It's about taking cocaine, and it's a work of art. I didn't post it here because it's just about drug use, but it's quite a song.
Really?
— I hadn't noticed…
It's worth listening to what they do in my opinion. I'd like to go to one of their concerts.
They have a lot of talent but they haven't had the exposure that some other contemporaries have.

It's worth the time to listen to it.
