Sam Elliot nodded at me once, when he was leaving the filming lot in Studio City, I was standing at the crosswalk outside the studio gate and saw him stopping at the light (he was driving a Jeep Wrangler) and stared slack jawed at him: he noticed my slack jaw and nodded.
It made my day.
PS: I nodded back
Well, the sentiment is correct, but I can't remember the last time I saw a firearm in a gun rack hereabouts. And this is small town northwest Oregon, an open carry state. However, that does not mean that people aren't armed and ready.
Thanks for the post.

Maybe they can trade their participation trophy?
gun in a rack in the back window of the truck is tough to bring into immediate service. A nice 10MM delta elite is a bunch quicker.
I wonder if the cowboys of yore argued about what long rifle was best carried in a scabbard…
I've never met him, but I expect that he'd be just as cool off the screen as on.
You see them in rural Arizona. Mostly on the Indian Reservations.
They work better when you're applying to teach a class in grievance studies. Progs (who also have them) know that you worked hard to get them.
Why wouldn't they?
This post reminds me to clean guns, a meditative and practical use of time.
