The Party of Inclusion?
That was before the big convention. Now you need to add: Don’t include God or Jerusalem in our Party’s Platform. I’m not calling all Democratic Party members “Godless” – but I am saying that would seem to be a tenant of many party leaders. Watch below:
It’s interesting to see that the Democratic steamroller is still working. After ramming Obamacare down our throats it was throttled for awhile, but somebody turned it loose at the DNC. Clearly, there was not the necessary 2/3 majority vote, but did that stop the DNC? Nah…just give them two more chances to change their minds and then ram it down their throats anyway and move on…
Would the Democrats allow ME to join their party (the Party of Inclusion)? It would seem that uber liberal John Stewart’s findings (below) are that they would not. Unless I gave up my corporation, God, my Constitutional rights, my views on the sanctity of life and learned a little “science”… If I did all of those things, they’d allow me to get under “the big tent”.
Fine Print: They don’t accept white males readily, either, unless they are willing to undergo a gender change. I don’t know if that means that I’d need surgery or if simply wearing women’s clothing would be enough.

This was lose-lose for the Dems.
If you recount enough and then dismiss the vote, you WIN AND WIN BIG. And there hasn't been a case of voter fraud brought against the Democratic Party in Chicago EVER. That's just a nasty rumor the Republicans like to spread. They're just jealous because the dead rise, walk to their local polling place and vote for the Democrat of their choice every election cycle.
The convention is not yet over. Nor the election. There may be more to come. Scum spreads.

He could send some sort of ObamaBot to the convention while he's on the links and it can give the same old tired lies to the adoring masses at the DNC.
Biden could introduce the ObamaBot in this way, "Barack couldn't be here because he's trying to lower his handicap, because we all know that he's going to be playing a lot of golf in Hawaii, but he sent the ObamaBot to send the same pre-recorded speech that you're going to hear in the presidential debates."

Maybe they wanted to appear 'fair and balanced'. This piece was. However, I don't think that Jon Stewart is a born-again moderate. He's not about to change his liberal spots.

I believe that what this really points to is the abysmal state of education in this country, not just in economics, but more important, in the teaching of critical thinking skills.
I think that the most telling (funniest to some of us) was the Villaraigosa reaction to the loud NO opposition to the matter that he brought to the floor. I admit that it would have been funnier still if the REM song, Losing My Religion had been playing in the background at the DNC. Who says that political conventions aren't entertaining?

LawHawk: I agree with you on the God/Jerusalem screw-up. Except my gut tells me that it was only a screw-up in the sense that the Dems had not anticipated there would be a substantial number of Nay voters, never mind a clear majority. I firmly believe that the whole episode was theatrics likely cooked up in the greasy kitchen that is David Axelrod's mind. The leadership yanked the language on purpose so that Obama could be seen as riding in to the rescue to restore the planks and thereby "prove once and for all" that he is not a Marxist and that he's got Israel's back. Their problem was that they didn't realize that Obama's nearly four years of ginning up the radical fringe of the Democrat base had in fact so shifted the dynamics of the Democrat party that the majority of its delegates (read active base) is in fact now far to the left.
Quite frankly the whole thing was an embarrassing clusterf__k for the Dems. Villaraigosa looked like a complete chump and most Americans will now see him as the face of Democrat Party fraud.
It's OK, they're just fixing the ballots early.
It will be interesting to see how this plays in the mind of Party Planners who saw Villaraigosa as one of those rising stars. He did look like a chump and I think that it damaged his credibility – maybe only short term. Democrats are forgiving of their own sycophants.
The Chicago votes have already been counted for Obama… Romney didn't get a single vote in Chicago, as it turns out. Not even the dead voted for him.
You're just not progressive enough. IF you were, you'd understand that by eliminating all business profits (thus government of ownership of businesses) we'd achieve true communism and would be on part with Cuba or North Korea… The Democratic Party vision will include you if only you learn to TRULY love Big Brother.
