Bullet Points:

** Announcement – I am not running for president in 2024. If nominated, I will not run.  If elected I will not serve…

** “We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors because the sailors are spending their own money.“ -Ronald Reagan

** Tucker showed new footage that proved Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick could not have been killed by Trump supporters on January 6th. There is no surprise there, but it’s nice to see the video proof that Congress had been hiding.

** Galatians 5:19-21 ESV Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

** Dying societies accumulate laws like dying men accumulate remedies.

** I’m traveling, and blogging opportunities are a little sporadic.

      • Good use of the Medium M3/M4 basic running gear and layout. Very successful, very mobile.

Often wondered why they never made a fullly enclosed version as an APC, but at the time the APC was the M3/M5 halftrack. One of those makes sense now but not then things, an APC version I mean.

Pop out the 105mm and toss in a Brit 25pdr howitzer and you get a ‘Bishop.’ Yet another weird one, why? The US 105mm was far superior and we were giving shells away for practically free.

        • Didn’t the Canadians make a Ram APC, sort of the same thing?

I think the 25 pounder Bishop was a “British content” thing, sort of reverse not invented here.

          -Kle.

  1. “will not inherit the kingdom of God”
The trick is to convince the unbeliever that it is a binary choice.
That there is a reward or a punishment awaiting at the end of the song.

  2. i saw that the cartel, allegedly, snatched 4 americans in ol mexico. since they are offering no details on them i would put money on that they are not “tourists buying medicine” as described. but i like one senator’s take on it: ” close the border and terminate them with prejudice.” those americans, whatever they were doing, are likely long dead already. be careful out there.

    • Most cartel kidnappees are business snatches. The bad guys (often the State Judicial Police) don’t get paid if the ransom isn’t delivered and there is usually proof of life. I’ve handled some of these negotiations in Mexico. Often the people snagged have kidnap insurance. Sometimes it’s an insurance scam.

I will be in Mexico for part of the time.

  3. Yer killing me with the delectable breakfast fare…as I have my cereal and Skippy slathered toast.

Listened to Tucker last night. Half of America knew it was all a bald-faced lie, now we know for sure. Prison for Pelosi and McConnell and a pile of others? Never happen under this tyrannical regime of criminals, but it should.

Pronghorn hunters north of me on one rise, scoping, seeing nothing. Pronghorns over the the next rise out of sight. Always made me laugh.

  4. I’ve hunted antelope in past years. Your shot may be a long one, but then again I’ve shot them as close as about 40 yards. Curiosity has killed more pronghorns than it has cats,

  5. I saw what you did there with that very Shermanesque comment.

Pro tip for finding antelope: Head west of Casper on US26 and turn left on Zero Road. Continue west on Zero until you have to slow your speed to 10 MPH or less to avoid running down herds of speed goats attempting to commit suicide by automobile – yours! You have been warned.

Dad used to drive us across the old bridge at Matamoros when I was a kid, park about anywhere and walk into the mercado, safe as lambs. Same at Reynosa or Progresso. Today? Oh HAIL no! No passports required for re-entry, either, usually just got waived right thru without checks. “Time changes everything.”

  6. Pronghorns won’t jump a fence. They crawl under. My relatives, who are meat hunters, not “sportsmen”, herd pronghorns into a fenced corner then pick off one or two at close range.

I’ve herd, but never seen it done, that a rag on a pole on top of a rise will attract pronghorn who will come to investigate.

  7. A man of your learning and knowledge of scripture would not make this mistake:

    strait not straight. KJV

    Huge difference.
    blame auto cucumber! 🙂

  8. I have to agree with NFO here.
Avocado has always had both a disgusting flavor, a revolting texture, and an unappetizing appearance for me. While I have become a bit more tolerant of the flavor over time, the appearance (extended via unwilling imagination to texture) has only grown worse. You see, I’ve had to change certain diapers that bore unfortunate resemblance…
Y’all can keep your baby poop fruit. I want none of it.

    • That was supposed to be a reply to NFO. Dunno what happened, other than the mobile browser didn’t get along with the spam trap?
