Sovereign Citizens (Redux) – Previously published on VM
I was treated to a verbal attack on “white, American, male, veteran, nationalists recently. It came from a former senior USGOV FEMA official who is a personal friend of mine. (Oddly enough, he’s a white, American male veteran and Republican.) I didn’t fire back because he’s a friend and recently underwent open heart bypass surgery. He’s been subjected to many briefings by the FBI wherein those with an America First philosophy have been demonized and labeled as the worst enemies America has. So, let’s review who those enemies of democracy are.
Perhaps the question, “Are sovereign citizens criminals,” needs a finer definition before we can answer it.The US Constitution is the law of the land. That document provides various levels of sovereignty to the Federal Government through the Tenth Amendment to the State Governments (largely ignored by the Federal Government) and to county, city, township, and village leaders. Each has a jurisdiction or sovereignty accorded to them.
The English Common Law adaptation of ‘every man’s home is his castle’ was particularly applied by the Fourth Amendment, which accorded each citizen the right to keep and bear arms to protect themselves as necessary. Those are aspects of personal sovereignty. All Americans are sovereign citizens.
Thus, we return to the 300,000 Americans that the FBI says are either hard-core criminals or are courting the idea. Are Constitutionalists all criminals? I’ll let you slice that as your conscience allows you to. People are best defined by their actions. Those who prey on the weak or disobey for the sake of criminal conduct are criminals. Those with a moral affirmation of their nationality or oath of office may not be.
One litmus test that seems to be commonly applied to the ‘sovereign citizen movement’ is that they don’t want to pay taxes and avoid them where possible. If that is the test, then many progressives (including the Secretary of the Treasury), corporations, and Democratic Party contributors should be lumped into the mix.
Perhaps the US Department of Justice and US Department of Homeland Security could find a better common name for extremist criminals other than loosely tagging them all as “Sovereign Citizens.”
Brave New World
“Brave New World” by Aldous Huxley is a dystopian novel published in 1932 that presents a chilling vision of a technologically advanced future society. Problems with a Vax
Nirsevimab, marketed by Sanofi and AstraZeneca as Beyfortus is a drug developed to protect infants from RSV (respiratory syncytial virus), a virus that can lead to serious respiratory infections. It was fast-tracked for approval by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in July 2023.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends Beyfortus for infants younger than 8 months entering their first RSV season and high-risk children aged 8-19 months. The shot is included in the 2024 Childhood Immunization Schedule.
The Japanese journal Med Check, which reanalyzed clinical trial data, highlighted the increased mortality risk and adverse effects of Beyfortus. Med Check found that infants treated with Beyfortus experienced significantly higher death rates compared to those given a placebo, likely due to adverse effects such as blood clotting (thrombosis). The analysis concluded that “Nirsevimab should not be used in any infants.”
These warnings were further confirmed by France’s National Agency for the Safety of Medicines and Health Products (ANSM), which tracked Beyfortus during the 2023-24 RSV season. While the data is based on French cases, it highlights potential severe risks for all infants receiving the shot.

But that’s the whole point, yeah? Smearing people by lumping them in with actual bad people by means of deliberately sloppy terminology. The people steering our civilization (off of a cliff, but I digress) may not be good at numbers or common sense, but they are EXCELLENT at deception, half truths, and neurolinguistic programming (NLP). They are also highly proficient at rules-lawyering and being the middleman who shorts both ends (and somehow comes out with more than either party with anything of value to trade) but again I digress. The infotainment industry (“news” and movies and Disney and popular music) plus advertising, and increasingly damn near all of Corporate America are a collection of throttling tentacles of the NLP octopus (or blood-sucking squid to use Taibbi’s phrase). They’ve been at it for a very long time and are very, very good at it. (q.v. Edward Bernays, who just happens to be the nephew of Sigmund Freud; small world, eh?)

Anyone who says “But Hanlon’s Razor!” will be mocked. Yes, often stupidity and not malice is to blame when something bad happens. But in the case of our benevolent overlords, how many examples do you need to accept that it’s malice? Because it all leans one way: namely toward increasing THEIR power and control, and reducing OUR liberty and autonomy. It’s like a study they did of UPC codes vs posted prices on store shelves. When there was a disagreement between the two, about 90% of the time the UPC-encoded price was higher than the price on the physical sign. If the differences were accidental, one would expect roughly half over and half under priced. But that was not the case.

In the same vein, the tens of millions of Chinese who died in the Great Leap forward and the Cultural Revolution don’t count. And it’s bad form to notice that Marxism was involved. Unit 731 doesn’t count (there was only one great atrocity that actually matters). The Killing Fields don’t count. The tens of millions of Russians and other Slavs murdered by Bolsheviks don’t count. The Holodomor not only doesn’t count, but is “a competing narrative” to be suppressed (yes, this position was asserted and was published by academics). The life of one George Floyd is infinitely more valuable than the lives of 30+ million Chinese, or 4 to 10 million starving Ukrainians, and so forth. If George Floyd were still alive today but needed an organ transplant, it would be completely ethical to kidnap a person lacking sacred victimhood and take his organs for Saint Floyd. That’s called Restorative Justice and it is completely ethical.

Not to be “that” guy, but the word slave came to us via the Eastern Roman Empire (later called “Byzantine Empire” by Victorian Era scholars, but Greek Empire by their contemporaries). Greek “sklabos”, and in Western Europe its Latin cognate “sclavus” does indeed come from the “slavic” peoples. Vikings were great slavers, and running Slavic captives to Constantinople down the Dniepr River and the Islamic Caliphate further east via the Volga River, was a major source of wealth (along with furs, amber, honey, and other high value items). Not that Eastern Vikings were any less prone to raiding. They (known as the ‘Rus’) raided Persian towns on the shores of the Caspian Sea beginning in the late 800s, continuing for nearly two centuries. As in England and France, the first raids were small, but savage actions, and grew to be much larger affairs.

Before I read any further in the post, I want to comment on the first graphic.
“Slave made phone” is absolutely correct, and I point this out to anyone who tells me how great their Apple Iphone is.
It’s true of the clothing we wear and so many other things. It’s not limited to electronics.
“Crash survival possibilities are demonstrated.” I think I will keep to my 25 year old Chevy one ton pick up truck thank you very much. All those cars with a slim chance by the Ford Exploder were nor survivable. It seems the crash test standards by car manufactures are being being ignored.
They do crash tests under carefully controlled circumstances. If you’re between a cement mixer going 50 and an a heavy block wall, better that you depart this plane than remain in a crib, limbs amputated, in screaming agony.
“Sovereign Citizens.” seems to be a term first appropriated by those people that don’t want to respect the role (Constitutional or otherwise) of the government.
I often conflate them with extreme libertarians or anarchists.
As such, they have poisoned the term.

Of all of my cousins I am the only one who stands prepared to defend your rights as enshrined in the Ten Commandments and the Ten Amendments (I don’t care what you believe in or how you believe); I still stand prepared at 80++ and, if called upon, will do so.
Now please tell me how you define citizenship.
Sovereign citizen is an interesting term. The Constitution is based on the description, but requires cooperation by the government, but the government is a hungry beast. Those not willing to contribute to the abuse of confiscatory taxes, nor willing to bow to regulations that are created by the whims of bureaucrats, are considered criminals because they value the autonomy of liberty, instead of becoming pawns of tyrants. It’s easier for government officials to condemn those that are suspicious, or outright insulted, by actions by those hired to supposedly take care of business agreed upon by taxpayers. They have a good salary, and a pension that is more important than individual liberty. The fact they have become parasites isn’t nearly as important as their fear of losing something that is only granted by the consent of the governed. That consent is tenuous, many know this, and without the second amendment, would have subjugated the United States years ago.

When I worked in the Body Shop at GM Willow Run many years ago, me made the Caprice.
We got a letter from a guy who hit a cement truck (that someone left in the middle of the highway with no lights on) at about 65mph.
The letter was to thank us for the job we did welding the body together. Everything crumpled perfectly and the drive train slid under the firewall instead of pushing through it.

TOO funny! I prefer ballroom dancing. When I was younger I could do some fairly acrobatic stuff a la Gene Kelly. Did a lot of musicals in high-school, college, and community theater. Learned all kinds of stagecraft things, too, like lighting and sound. Had a great time!

As to childhood vaccines, Small Pox, Polio, TDAP (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Whooping Cough,) and MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) are the only ones children really are needed. The first two because of legacy diseases that are really bad, TDAP because Tetanus and Diphtheria are really bad child killers, same with MMR.
