** (American Thinker) I have not spent any time today listening to John Durham’s testimony, which I find fundamentally uninteresting. He managed to craft a report that, even as it hinted at a damning coup attempt within the government against the duly elected president, nevertheless gave everyone involved what amounted to a pass. Maybe it’s that jaundiced attitude that leaves me unimpressed with the fact that Durham claims that most FBI agents are really good people.

The IL-76 is what the C-141 would be had it been designed with rough field capability. It is l9ng in the tooth and cannot hold a candle too the C-17, but is still in production.

Claudio, the Il-76 and other Soviet large cargo aircraft did not have good cargo handling equipment. The Il-76 had a central overhead beam with a winch for moving pallets and heavy cargo into position and lacked floor rollers which allowed quick, easy loading and unloading as ye old Herk and the Starlifter had.
It is an interesting plane and if the opportunity ever presents itself, take a look inside. In 1993, during Operation Provide Promise, at a southern Europe host nation airfield, a mid-60s Air Force Reserve Herk was parked next to a relatively new Il-76. The Russians couldn’t believe that the Herk was still flying and they were amazed at the floor rollers and the ability to shove things out the back either in flight or on the ground.
You should see the parking lot of C-130s at Davis-Monthan AFB in Tucson. Off of Kolb Road and Escalante Rd, they still bring in one or two every couple of weeks for sealing up and tying down. There is easily 200+ lined up. Several models are the AC-130 versions.

The Left decries such things because they are deranged in believing their is no difference…or…they are mostly incompetent from spending their lives being outraged instead of fostering a skill set (other than ‘complaining and whining’ about their oppression Du Jour).

No, it’s Turkish version of the M-60 as others reported above. The turret looks a little wonky, but it’s Turkish…enough said.

The US had some interesting life-extension plans for the M60 series. One of them included basically adding an M1 Abrams turret to the base hull. Would have been great for NatGuard units except we went all in on the Abrams.
They’d have been fine for Guard units, but too inexpensive…and one most feed the Military Industrial Complex (welfare for the middle class).
Looks like “Fight for the Mine Shaft” has an example of cover, concealment, and camouflage. The overturned metal cart might be able to stop incoming fire(depending on metal strength and thickness, as well as ballistic characteristics of incoming fire), the wheelbarrow provides concealment, while the babe would keep men from seeing the guy with the short red hair.
