Caption: If you’re looking for hidden meaning in the title of today’s blog, there isn’t any. Every day should be Gun Day. Have you hugged your rifle today?
Tonight and Tomorrow Night

Bullet Points:
** My Easter feast ended. We had lasagna, homemade bread with butter and garlic, salad, and carrot cake for dessert. I’m not quite sure what you’re supposed to eat and what you’re not supposed to eat as part of your feast. There’s no guidance in the Bible. But the feast, such as it was, has ended at the White Wolf Mine.
** The summit meeting with Claudio took place at a secret time and place, and the world’s problems have been solved yet again. Disaster has been averted.
** Tucker describes the fall of the middle class. The money they once had was redistributed to the banking sector.
** A roadrunner’s maximum speed is 20 mph. A coyote’s maximum running speed is 42 mph. My childhood was predicated on a lie.
** More fallout from seven humans who self-identify as women riding an aluminium penis into space for ten minutes. (The home-dildo version – right – is available for $69.00 – rocket motors sold separately for an additional thrill.)
Blue Origin’s New Shepard rocket, on its most recent flight with an all-female crew, reached an altitude of 346,802 feet above ground level (AGL) and 350,449 feet above mean sea level (MSL). This translates to approximately 106 kilometers and 107 kilometers, respectively, which is well above the Kármán line, the 100-kilometer (62-mile) altitude often used to define the boundary between Earth’s atmosphere and outer space.
From The Bee:
ANAHEIM, CA — Singer and TV personality Katy Perry inspired dozens on Thursday after declaring she was an astronaut following a brief ride on Disneyland’s Astro Orbiter.

“Wheeeeee! I’m an astronaut!” she said while riding the thrilling Tomorrowland attraction. “Taking up spaaaace! I feel in touch with the divine feminine now.”
Perry described the ride as deeply supernatural, saying that it spun her around and around to the point that she felt “all the G’s.” She is now a bona fide astronaut, she says, because she had the opportunity to pilot the spacecraft herself. “I can make it go up and down! Wheeeeee!”
Park guests who witnessed the historical moment say they will forever remember Katy Perry’s ability to sit there and ride the attraction. “She’s a trailblazer,” said one mother of three. “It makes me feel like I can be an astro orbiter too.”
At publishing time, Katy Perry was seen riding the Matterhorn Bobsleds, where she proclaimed, “I’m a Sherpa! Wheeeeeeee!”
** The (liberal) 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously to vacate 84 of Joe Biden’s autopen pardons. “The pardons in question were given to people who have never been charged with a crime and went into the public record without an official signature.” That settles that. For people like Mark Milley, Adam Schiff, Anthony Fauci, and Liz Cheney, the pardon they held so dear is no longer worth the paper it’s photocopied on.
** The only easy day —> was yesterday.
** PJ Media reported, “In a Monday night letter, William J. Pulter, director of the U.S. Federal Housing Agency, referred New York Attorney General Letitia James to the Department of Justice for prosecution of mortgage fraud.” She claimed a house in Norfolk, Virginia, was her primary residence. That’s a 500-mile commute to Albany and another 500 miles back. You would think that for all his money, George Soros would afford a better level of crooks than Fani Willis and Tish James.
** To circumvent a judge’s order that Trump put AP on Air Force One, the president excluded all three wire services (Bloomberg and Reuters being the others) from the press pool. At least he did not kick them off while the plane was in midair.
** The Communist Chinese announced that they have an operational Thorium reactor. Commentary
** Parasailing – for the ample-bodied — you need a bigger boat.

Additional grandpa saying from my children’s grandpa;
“crazy cows have crazy calves!” Enough said.
I’ll keep that one in mind…as it applies to MRSLL, of course.
“Get off my lawn”
If you didnt make orbital velocity, all you did is take a fancy (and expensive) ‘balloon’ ride.

…but at least you died in style.
– Kle.
Well, there is that.
That’s critical to dying well.
Why is it our dad’s generation had an Archie Bunker chair and you never gave one thought of sitting in it unless you wanted to get in trouble? Heh.

Ran to town Thursday, dropped into Costco for a quick run around, one aisle was packed with folks grabbing their Easter ham. Went to the next aisle. Had plans to have a dinner out yesterday but our favorite Italian place was closed…so despite invites from friends we decided to have a low-key day…no Easter sunrise service to hold this year, no major meal, just relaxed for once. Your lasagne with family sounds just right…doubtful Jesus would mind as long as the heart is in the right place.
So apparently there was a soundtrack to the stub-orbital mission:

>>Breaking<< Jorge Mario Bergoglio (Pope Francis) died a few moments ago (17 December 1936 – 21 April 2025). He was the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State from 13 March 2013 until his death. He was the first pope from the Society of Jesus (the Jesuit Order), the first from the Americas and the Southern Hemisphere, and the first born or raised outside Europe since the 8th-century Syrian pope Gregory III.
Pope Benedict’s replacement after being “forced out”…although heard he was still at the Vatican as “emeritus” until his passing in 2022, which didn’t seem to help keep Pope Francis in line. Guess Francis now knows the truth of things.
Requiescat in Pace
I am able to say that for any/all who’ve passed on to their greater reward; the reward to be determined by his Creator.
and the market plunges
So the Liberation Theology pope finally became a good commie.
Interesting times, indeed.
Will another communist replace him, or will the college of cardinals take a chance on a conservative pontiff in the image of JP2?
And Klaus Schwab has announced his pending retirement. What is this poor world coming to?
I’m sure that Klaus has been grooming a catamite to replace him in the New World Order.
You take that back about Alex Soros!
And after JD Vance met with him on Easter Sunday.
As much as I wish it was true, the Ninth Circuit did not vacate any Biden pardons.
Apparently not – I was taken in by fake news.
Too bad, would have been excellent, especially from that Court.
How about crazy grandma sayings: “That’s of the devil!” “If it was a snake it woulda bitchu.” “Don’t sit like a jaybird.” “…Gitcher Bibles!” “Swaller – stop yer cryin”
Grandma and Grandpa wisdom remains with us.
My favorite grandma meme: Grandma standing on the porch with her gun, hollering,” If y’all are comin’, hurry up! I got a pie in the oven!”
Ah, the pies.
I remember launching from a rock island at Lake Roosevelt some forty years ago loosing my boat shoes as my ample body touched water. Had an amazing flight until I had to land. No broken bones but a banged up leg for a few days.
It hurt for me to read your account.
So that was sub-orbital too.
The Blue Origin rocket with the female passengers did not get higher than the X-15 experimental aircraft.
I don’t recall the X-15 pilots (Scott Crossfield comes to mind) going to Elizabeth Arden for a make-over before their flights.
The jumpsuits were fetching.
It was “Josie and the Pussycats in Outer Space”, only really crappy.

Naut Couture
Surely Josie and the Cougars.
I was thinking Power Rangers – but they needed different color (diverse) outfits for that role.
The bint flight gives the Liberals something to cheer, bless their hearts.
Letitia James will now find all her enemies waiting in line to take a swing. I imagine the line to be long, some having a powerful swing, the hate obvious, and when they finally knock her down, they’ll kick her in the ribs. It couldn’t happen to nicer person.
You meet the same people on the way up that you meet on the way down. She’ll look fabulous in an orange jumpsuit. Orange is the new black.
totally off topic:
back in ’54 I purchased my first 45 – record, that is: Earth Angel
had to play it on my friend’s turntable; nothing later than Brahms was ever allowed at home; ‘sides which, Dad’s was a 78 only
several years back I purchased (more than) several (on-line) albums (from Bach to Savanna Chestnut) from Amazon; if I play them today, I have to listen to ads.
I thought I paid for the right to listen to this music; am I the only one annoyed?
Paid for Pandora ad free, pretty cheap to avoid the bothering sales blather. But Tune-In…they fixed the start up algorithm so switching stations then back now starts the ads over versus skipping. Same with cable, sold as ad free…until it wasn’t when the revenue stream could be realized…besides, peoples memories are fairly shirt and forgot they were paying for ad free with a good chunk of thwir subscription .
We stream everything, zero ads.
That’s strange, I don’t have that problem with TuneIn.
There’s a local Christian station that my wife favors. If you listen online every time you log in you have to listen to a commercial. Even if you pause, or drop the connection. Just annoying. If I were listening over the air, that’s certainly wouldn’t be an issue.
Same as DVDs you buy, all the damn previews you have to skip over to get to the movie itself, and now, I bought a movie recently that now has advertisement on it. I am damn tired of all the marketing. I took the DVD back and demanded my money back and told them why. The money was returned. I wrote a letter to the publisher and all the companies that had their film credits and to the advertisers telling I paid money for the movies, not your marketing and will not buy a product from them. There is many products that I will not buy now because of that, all the persistent marketing.
I forgot to include this in the blog today. Sometimes my various projects overtake me, and – no excuses.

On this day in history…….21 April 1989 – COL James N. “Nick” Rowe was assassinated, Manila, Philippines.
.
James Nicholas “Nick” Rowe was a United States Army officer and one of only 34 American prisoners of war to escape captivity during the Vietnam War. Colonel Rowe was credited with developing the rigorous US Army Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) training program taught to high-risk military personnel (such as Special Forces and aircrews) and the U.S. Army doctrine, which institutionalizes these techniques and principles to be followed by captured personnel. In 1989, Rowe was killed by a unit of the New People’s Army in the Philippines called the Alex Boncayao Brigade.
Doesn’t the Navy had it’s version of SERE at Warner Springs in San Diego county?
I’ll chime in and say that I check the status of my SCAR17 and Glock 21 every morning when getting up.
I’m sure the SCAR and Glock appreciate the attention. Yes, the US Navy and Marine Corps has a West Coast SERE School at Warner Hot Springs in the Cleveland National Forest. The East Coast Classroom training is at Naval Shipyard (NSY) Portsmouth, the Navy’s East Coast SERE field training is conducted in Redington Township, Maine. The CIA version of SERE was conducted at The Farm. I’ve heard that they moved it a few years ago.
USAF SERE at Fairchild AFB and some very mountainous terrain north of there. Enjoyed some winter weather (not). Lots of snow, no bugs, nothing caught in snares or fishing lines. I’d never in my life seen snowshoes but wound up wearing them all week during my iteration. Boy Scout experiences made SERE much easier.
Water survival was pleasant though – indoor pool!
I went through a Navy survival course (just measuring dicks) where they helocast us out of a UH-1 into the ocean without telling us that it was a survival course. To be fair, it was located in a tropical (warm) saltwater environment, akin to a heated pool, adjacent to a mangrove forest. No kit but what you had on you, which was nothing but pocket lint.
Five Years to Freedom by James N Rowe was an excellent read. He was truly the Real Deal
No survival schools but did survive several Army consolidated mess halls.
Did you serve SOS?
Not me, but we had it. Two varieties, chip beef or hamburger.
Never was selected as a server. Seems the Mess Sgt and/or cooks decided I had an attitude and put me on the worst jobs; usually pots and pans. Pity.

The food on the troop ship was above average. In transit, I always removed my name tag. With 1400 souls aboard, what NCO was going to remember exactly who was the soldier he assigned a duty.
——-
From day one in the Army I was a problem for my ‘superiors’.
Tucker’s saying an awful lot of Hate Think key words out loud lately. Banking Sector, Finance, and the other day, Great Replacement Theory. And then to single out poor Larry Fink personally? By name? That’s just bullying plain and simple. Talk about punching down! A multimedia celebrity trying to shame a humble businessman just minding his own business, trying to make his way through this hate and prejudice-filled world. Shame, Tucker. Shame!
—
And Candace Owens needs to check herself too, going after poor defenseless Blake Lively. Poor Blake. Shame on mean girl Candace. (And her French is TERRIBLE 😳)

I was in Liberal College Town over the weekend. A number of major intersections had concerned citizens with signs. They were anti-ICE, anti-Trump, and pro-Zelenskyy. They were also pro-Diversity and for Open Borders. Signs were hand lettered. At each knot of people there was at least one UKR flag. One person was displaying the Stars and Stripes upside down. There was shocking lack of sacred Diversity among the protesters. All were pale-skinned. If there were any negroes they were well hidden. Most had gray or white hair. There were a few East Asians (who are more pale than many Mediterranean whites, BTW). Most people had nice clothes (Patagonia, Lulu, or at least Eddie Bauer; that sort of thing) though they all managed to look scruffy. In general the women were louder and more enthusiastic than the men.
—
Seeing the third knot of protestors (20 to 50 adults in each; only one group had kids in their preteens;?these were holding up signs and chanting), it occurred to me that it might be fun to show up with a few dozen burkas (or at least black headscarves) and go up to the men, saying “This is culturally offensive to me and attacks my religion! Is that your woman? Tell her to shut up and put this on.” Alas, I’m mostly clean shaven these days. (Scruff this week. Nasty head cold.) During peak covidiocracy I had a full beard that looked crappier than Saddam Hussein when they dragged him out of that spider hole. Coulda played the part back then.
It’s interesting to watch them when their shift is over. Do they walk back to their BMWs and MBZs (no Teslas anymore) or do they board a bus? You look more liberal with a full beard AND a nasty head cold.
You didn’t stop and join them? You could have subtly started a counter-revolution chant and got them to shout that and get others confused… It is so easy to manipulate leftists if you know how, and you are the man, a man with a way with sarcasm.
had an mp5 (semi) forty years ago, let it get away from me for some stupid reason. in two days i will finally have another. happy birthday to me. what’s the 550 cord for?
LL, it’s a complement for you recognizing Monday Gunday is a true tribute! Grandpa doll, never see us as old geezers memorialized. I have taken on the Old Farts Force, I too, can offer platitudes and nifty advice like the old days!
It seems miraculous those big RV windows on the glans of that erection didn’t melt upon reentry. So, we could actually call the fuel tanks on such craft corpora cavernosa?
I would have hugged mine if they hadn’t fallen off the boat on the lake…
