In New Orleans

A U.S. Army veteran from Texas is believed to be the suspect behind a bloody New Year’s Day attack in New Orleans that killed at least 10 people and left 35 more injured. Federal investigators identified Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, as the man who intentionally rammed a rented pickup truck into revelers around 3:15 a.m. on Bourbon Street, where people were ringing in the new year. So what precisely was Din Jabbar doing in the Army? Does DEI recruitment explain allowing this turd into a US uniform? Does anyone recall Nidal Malik Hasan, the former United States Army major and mass murderer convicted of killing 13 people and injuring more than 30 others in the Fort Hood mass shooting on November 5, 2009?

Bullet Points:

** The highest-paid employee of the New York City Police Department is facing an internal affairs probe after making over $400,000 last year and then trying to file for retirement.

Lt. Quathisha Epps (DEI promotion), who worked as an administrator, is under investigation over allegations that she fudged her overtime hours and endorsed her own time slips, per an exclusive report from the New York Post.

The staffer supposedly worked 1,627 overtime hours beyond her usual shifts, averaging 74 hours per week. However, unnamed sources told the Post there were “complaints over her coming into work late, leaving early, or not showing up at all.”

(right) There’s a face that would make a train take a dirt road.

** ‘You know,’ said Arthur, ‘it’s at times like this, when I’m trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space, that I wish I’d listened to what my mother told me when I was young.’

‘Why, what did she tell you?’

‘I don’t know, I didn’t listen.’ (Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

** President Donald Trump asked the court on Friday to pause the ban that was going into effect on TikTok on January 19. Importantly, Trump didn’t offer a definitive opinion on TikTok’s ultimate fate. Instead, his request to the Supreme Court is an effort to let him play a role in TikTok’s future. And that’s why I think Elon Musk will offer to buy TikTok.

** Sweden has announced its plans to deport immigrants who have acquired Swedish citizenship but have failed to integrate into Western society.

** How does a person who cannot stand trial for his crimes due to his mental incapacity pardon other people for their crimes?

The 75mm L/24 main gun suffered from accuracy problems. Only 16 arrived to participate in combat, and they were about the best thing on the battlefield (accuracy notwithstanding). The sixteen were shared between the 21st and 15th Panzer divisions.

  1. 1 is the Rhino heavy armoured car prototype Australian WW2 design that did not go into production. They only made two.

    1. Can you explain what subject you are referring to in further detail Rupert? I missed any links in today’s V.M. post to Shawn’s interviews.

  3. My Mother (R.I.P.) said it best: Nothing good happens after 10 PM.
    .
Uncle Remus (R.I.P.) said it second best: Stay away from crowds.

    1. X2. My Mom…” when are you going to learn to say no?” When I was running into trouble with bad friends, or actually the one leading them, unbeknowns to her.

      1. Yeah, and our dad would say “Why am I the bad guy as soon as I walk in the front door?” heh

  4. I’ve always appreciated the variety and depths of knowledge/wisdom shared here.

now that investment advice is included, let me be sure I have this right.

    sells on the news (boughing),
buy the rumor ( knock knock)?

oh for the days of paper convertible to real silver coins, cd’s (the original, non-digital) and savings bonds.

      1. Comments require an instigator otherwise I’d be stuck with my own thoughts rattling around in my noggin’…then I’d start talking to myself which tends to keep the wildlife looking at me weird.

          1. The slow pitch with the reflexive swing for the stands is, naturally, “that’s what she says.”

  5. What’s in a name? “Lt. Quathisha Epps” – Ray Epps cousin?
    ***
New Orleans (NoiLins)- The real question is “How many from those parts with (yet another) name like that are here already, itching to be activated?”
    – The Federal government HAS ONE JOB (the real one, not the invasive meddling two-thousand ones they’ve created for themselves). Wait for it….the cry will be “GUN CONTROL!” in 3, 2, 1. Next – as Ed_B suggested yesterday – the Fed’s in collusion (the real version) with State “officials” will demand special licensing and background checks for pick-em-up owners, especially white ones (like mine). Had a skunk come by last night (well, it could have been hit out on the highway but sure smelled close at 3AM)…this mornings Medieval lion face is #6.

    1. Ps- The ‘same day’ Vegas terrorist attack at Trump International is another. Tesla trucks do not explode, they melt down when the batteries fail. But what we get is “nothing to see here folks, forget your own eyes and brains.” Both trucks (were rented from owners using the Turo App). Both were EV’s…time to ban them!…too dangerous in the hands of criminals.

      1. vegas guy was a green beret, a regular johnny white bread. and a uav operation chief. odd that.

        1. It would have to recharge at least once. They have the video of the Cybertruck (bomb) in Vegas recharging as it traveled to the Temple of the Living Elvis from the rental point in your home state of Colorado.

      1. She is very woke. Admitting her hygiene issues on a public video channel is brave.

  6. that nypd woman was screwing the chief, who kept her and several others coming and going all day. he had one patrol officer set up in an apartment that he had epps find and furnish for her, on the dept. dimes. the chief started as a housing authority hall monitor and went all the way to chief. wonder what he has on adams? …..yeah, sara called it, but i figured it would be more widespread, more earth shattering u-238 space modulator kaboom. more to come i’m sure.

    1. Some say that the chief would screw a pile of rocks if he thought there was a snake inside. How can you think otherwise.

      1. Well, he did resign after she made her accusations.
And she’s the one who voluntarily took it up the non-sun-shiney place to get that overtime.
But did she make her accusations before she was investigated?

        1. Voluntarily? How DARE you! I have proof she was frightened, it says so, right in The New York Post (Dec 21, 2024) [1]:
Epps said she wanted to get away from Maddrey but was scared nobody would believe her.
What more proof do you need?
But the best lines are elsewhere in the article. Brave survivor (and totally not a willing policetitute) Lt Epps recounts:
“He said he dreamed about f–king me in my a–,” Epps alleged. “I said, ‘But Chief, you’re the Chief of Department.’ He rubbed his chest. . . . His work pants were open. He was like but ‘I’m still a n—-r and you look good.”

The prostitution, er prosecution rests. (Heh. Remember when Tim Walz referred to Kamala Harris’ days as “a young prostituter, er prosecutor.” Comedy gold.)

[1] It says so, right there!

  7. Have you noticed how our beloved minorities are notoriously incorrupt? Just look at Zimbabwe, which is now a prosperous nation after throwing off white oppression.

Then there’s the New Years terror crew. Huh.
