They’re filming Frisco King in Fort Worth. That makes a lot more sense. Who could tolerate the modern San Francisco?

Then, women entered the workforce in large numbers, fundamentally changing the economy. Now, with men’s wages stagnant, two incomes are the norm, creating a difficult ‘two-income trap’ for many.
** Is Joe Rogan a ‘toxic’ male? Why is the stereotypical ‘witch’ an ugly hag who is repulsive and whom no man wants to be around? The standard can also be applied to the female members of the Democrat Party Caucus in the US Congress. And then this.
** Rachel Wilson (complete Rogan Podcast) wrote a book, available on Amazon, about the secret history of feminism. In modern society, it is simply assumed that women’s liberation was a good thing. But what if it was never an organic, grassroots movement for social justice? Did feminism liberate women from an oppressive, evil patriarchy? Or did it rip away the fundamental structures that afforded them stability, security, and purpose- turning them into wage slaves for corporations and tax revenue cash cows for governments? What if feminism left women more vulnerable than ever by destroying the family? What if it’s a cunning deception that has tricked women into abandoning their God-given identity to serve a new world order and one of the oldest belief systems in the world? I have not read the book. I listened to the Joe Rogan Experience podcast that is linked above.

** If Congress shuts down the Iran War at the 60-day mark, it does not stop Israel from continuing the work. Neither does it stop the Saudis and UAE from destroying the Iranian water supply, when you consider that Iran targeted theirs. Flying Tigers Precedent – Could the Saudis buy American military aircraft and hire sheep-dipped American pilots to fly them against the Twelvers? I don’t think it would preclude escort duty for oil tankers or a fire-if-fired-upon response. In fact, that could restart the 60 Day clock…oh my. A two-week mutual ceasefire will clear the shipping backlog in the Straits. I don’t know how much oil the Iranians will pump in the meantime. The Israelis thumped their petrochem infrastructure (see above), so likely not much. My sense of things is that the Iranians need to decide who is in charge and whether they want to push their luck with President Trump. Persians are not known for being stupid (Twelvers aside), and they have a chance to be good neighbors, or they can keep exporting terrorism and see how long it takes the US to wipe out their remaining infrastructure.
** The Army has put a hold on a proposed wave of closures that would have shuttered more than 20 official museums on Army bases around the country. Instead, the service will fall in line with rules set down by Congress this year that direct each military service to establish a “museum system.”
The Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps each operate a handful of established formal museums, but the Army’s 45-facility museum network is by far the largest and least centralized, spread across nearly 100 buildings and warehouses on bases across the U.S. and overseas. Army museums include several large, heavily visited facilities at major bases, like the National Museum of the United States Army at Fort Belvoir, Virginia, and the National Infantry Museum at Fort Benning, Georgia. But just as many are small facilities dedicated to lesser-known jobs at out-of-the-way bases, such as Virginia’s U.S. Army Transportation Museum at Fort Eustis and both the Quartermaster Museum and the Ordnance Training Support Facility at Fort Lee.
“The museum enterprise was created because lots of individual entities, whether that was posts or units or schools, created their own little museums,” said James Vizzard, an Army museum official at Fort McNair in Washington, D.C. Vizzard spoke to Task & Purpose in June as the Army considered closing many of its smaller museums. “So you had a post commander who was all excited about it and put a lot of money into it and built it up. And then the next commander was like, ‘I don’t really care about the museum. I got to train people to go to war.’”

He has reportedly set up a “back channel” and what some are calling a shadow government to communicate directly with NATO world leaders, as concerns grow over a possible Trump administration withdrawal from the alliance. Obama is allegedly working to reassure fellow leftist leaders and America’s so-called allies by helping create a “contingency plan” in case President Trump moves forward with ending U.S. membership in NATO. With reports that Obama recently bought a multi-million-dollar mansion in the UK and shifted a significant portion of his assets there, some believe he may be helping coordinate a globalist effort against President Trump and undermining the foreign policy of our duly elected president(s).
** War Crimes? Kurt Schlichter, who was both a military officer and an attorney, recently wrote this at Townhall.com: “Donald Trump has promised to unleash hell on the Mullahs on Tuesday if they don’t open the Strait of Hormuz. This is controversial only to the liberal media and anyone who sympathizes with terrorists. They throw these terms out there like ‘war crimes’ and have no idea what they’re talking about. Last I checked, blowing up a bridge is not a ‘war crime.’ I didn’t get the memo that blowing up bridges during a war is a ‘war crime.’ They can’t cite the legal authority where this supposedly exists.
“Finally, there is no international law enforcement agency that’s going to arrest American soldiers even if ‘war crimes’ were committed. It’s all a bunch of fake outrage because they hate to see Donald Trump succeed.” And in another article, he wrote, “But remember, there is no such thing as international law. There aren’t any international ‘cops’ going to show up and arrest us.”

Iran’s New Supreme Leader Reportedly Unconscious and Useless as Regime Crumbles.
US and Israeli intelligence have concluded that Mojtaba Khamenei, Iran’s newly installed Supreme Leader, is unconscious and being treated for a severe medical condition in the holy city of Qom. He cannot make decisions or run the country, according to a diplomatic memo shared with Gulf allies.
This comes after Israeli airstrikes on February 28, 2026, took out his father, longtime dictator Ali Khamenei, along with other family members. Mojtaba was wounded in the same attack but got the top job anyway in early March. He has made zero public appearances since, despite the regime pumping out statements and even AI videos in his name claiming assassinations won’t stop Iran’s forces.
The mullahs’ theocracy is clearly on autopilot, propped up by the IRGC while their so-called leader lies incapacitated. Weak leadership at the top only invites more decisive action from America and Israel to end the threat once and for all.

Iran lost at Chicken with our President and his Team, so far best we can tell from the nosebleed section viewpoint. Hopefully it will stick, at least for a little while. On War Crimes, I thought I remembered this:
On November 21, 2024, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant. They are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity, including starvation as a method of warfare and targeting civilians in Gaza between October 2023 and May 2024.
All 125+ ICC member states (including France, Germany, UK, and Japan) are technically required to arrest Netanyahu if he enters their territory.
He is still a free man.
We are not a signatory.
Considering all the murderers, torturers, thugs and pure evil poop-heads that the ICC hasn’t laid charges on, getting charged by the ICC seems to be more of a point of honor for the recipients than a negative thing. Kind of like the movie “Melania” which got 8% by critics, signaling supposedly a horrid failure of a movie while it got over 95% from viewers. Warning: war story – I dealt with the YAKs (Yugoslavs, Albanians, and Croations (with a K) in So Cal and the Russian Bratva in Detroit circa 2007-8 (Uncle Rasberry’s Crew) and found them interesting. The Russians in LA didn’t do that much. They had a couple of clubs downtown where they served vodka and Russian food and sold China White. But for the most part, they flew under the radar in the expat community. LAPD OCID and LASO at STARS had a couple of investigators each who worked those topics, but the Muslims and Asians were much more of a problem from a terror and street crime perspective. I ran a task force targeting all those groups funded by a Congressional hard earmark for a few years through 2003-4

The situation in Detroit was very different, with the Russians, including former GRU and KGB types, operating the cross-border trade with Canada. The KGB was more corporate in my experience, and dealing with them one-on-one was easier because they had a better sense of when to rock the boat and when not to.

Sure brings back memories. In the late 70″s, I would drive from my dad’s house to the BART Rockridge station, ride across (under) the bay to Market Street, and walk three blocks to the San Francisco Gun Exchange.
The place has changed a lot in the intervening fifty years.

If anyone else’s noticed, the (overall) market is responding “hugely” to The Donald’s conversations with Iran, even the Liberals/Socialists are making money.
Only thing bothering me is that the “jewelry” metals are still rising (Gold not all that much, though): South Africa (Platinum and Rhodium), Russia (Palladium); are they tightening supply or is the dollar weakening more internationally?
The Donald’s second term is moving along marvelously internationally, but with the mid-terms coming up, comestibles, wearables, and fuel continue to maintain their uncomfortably high levels.
I’m worried/concerned that all his work could be undone by an adverse Congress promising Peace, Goodwill, as well as everything else Free to everyone (come one, come all).
Have a Palladium mine up the road a piece (way up the road)…solid operation, employees did well…only layoffs were under The Autopen, now under PDJT, rehired everyone and expanded operations.

Gee, what a concept, a business friendly Constitutional President who removes asinine ‘green grift’ regulatory constraints (that wrecked businesses while doing nothing for their oft-stated ‘environment’) and the industries respond accordingly, ‘lifting all boats’.
Just realized PDJT/Zeldin eliminated Mr. O’s dumber than dumb ‘start-stop’ payback deal with automakers (I thought the mafia and unions were the only strong-arms in the business, at least Manfredi has some principles). They also tossed the DEF (Diesel Extortion Fluid) ‘limp mode’ that caused accidents and stranded pickups and trucks, as a step towards removing this idiocy altogether.
I expected DEF to be a memory by now.
The DINK effect has been operative at least since some point in the 1980s. I spent ~8 years in school to get 3 degrees hoping to mitigate that, graduating in 1988. We moved to Fremont, CA and I worked in Sunnyvale. Between May of 88 and mid 89, the 40-year old, 1300 sq ft, 3 bed, 2 bath home on less than 1/8th of an acre that we were renting appreciated on paper from $125k to $250k. I had friends at work trying to put down $10k on townhouses (selling for $150k) not yet built knowing that when it came time to close, they could sell them for twice the price and turn $10k into $150k. The developer didn’t ask if they had pre-qualified for a mortgage, just took the down payment as good faith money assuming the buyer would work that out prior to closing. A few folks had multiple deals working. After about 6 months, the developers starting a new townhouse project resorted to a lottery system for buyers to thin out the traffic. It got so crazy that I gave up hope and took a job in Reston, VA. Again, the DINK effect priced me out of Reston and we bought a home in Manassas. The commute wasn’t good, but at least I didn’t need to use the beltway…
We were able to buy a nice home in Rancho Cucamonga (worked in Anaheim) and Tucson (3 miles from work, yay!). All in all, spending 8 years in school eventually did pay off and the wife had the freedom we both wanted for her, which ended up with her homeschooling the kids and then getting her nursing degree. Needing two very good incomes just to afford a modest home is a reality in some areas, and the answer to that can be changing your area for some folks, but even that’s not the entire story.
I understood the geographic pressure issues driving property prices in the SF Bay Area, as well as near DC. In SoCal there are similar pressures that drive prices, but I don’t get why real estate prices are so high in areas far from the center of things like Tracy, CA, Winchester, VA, and Banning, CA. Those places have killer commutes, and yet the DINK pricing still prevails. When I worked in Sunnyvale, there were a couple of engineers that lived in Grass Valley. They would drive their RVs in starting very early Tuesday morning and park them on the premises. They’d toss an extension cord over a fence and plug in. They would use the facilities inside the buildings and cook in the RV kitchen. Their bosses had them work their assignments in 3 days and they would drive home late Thursday. Another creative engineering solution to a logistics problem.
Agreed, Rob. It’s very much a function of how you work it. The Leesburg commute to DC was brutal though under Trump, I’m told that things have improved because quite a few people have moved out and a lot of the homes in the area are now occupied by the retired – enough of a traffic reduction that it’s telling.
