The floor is open, and the microphone has been turned on.
Have at it.

Tesla
Nikola Tesla’s prediction of a smartphone, Collier’s magazine interview, 1926:
“When wireless is perfectly applied, the whole earth will be converted into a huge brain, which it is, all things being particles of a real and rhythmic whole. We shall be able to communicate instantly, irrespective of distance. Not only this, but through television and telephony, we shall see and hear one another as perfectly as though we were face to face, despite intervening distances of thousands of miles, and the instruments through which we shall be able to do this will be amazingly simple compared with our present telephone. A man will be able to carry one in his vest pocket.”
The Football
The Football is a 45-lb briefcase containing classified equipment that verifies the identity of the US President to the National Military Command Authority and allows him (or her) to authorize the launch of a retaliatory nuclear response. The President (or, in the case of the shadow government, his representative) carries a card with authorization codes separate from the football, referred to as the biscuit. The biscuit is used in conjunction with the football to authenticate a launch order from the President of the United States or, in the case of Pedo Joe, somebody else who is not suffering from advanced mental illness. Maybe the First Lady? Who knows? A good friend of mine, when a serving Naval Officer carried the football for Pres. Reagan, and was never more than a few feet from him. (SIOP-ESI) That practice has changed, but we don’t know the new classified policy.
If there is an incoming strike designed to cripple the US nuclear response, the president would have 6-7 minutes to respond before they hit (in the case of a surprise attack) and presumably took him out.
The government spends a lot of time preparing for continuity of operations. (Raven Rock, PA—Mt. Weather, VA, other sites, etc.).
The Higher the Hair – the Closer to God?

Fair Trade?
In 1766, English sailors aboard the HMS Dolphin, led by Captain Samuel Wallis, made a surprising discovery during their exploration of Tahiti and other South Pacific islands. As they navigated these remote regions, they encountered a cultural practice that left a significant impression. The native women, intrigued by the sailors’ iron tools, which were highly valuable to their communities, were willing to trade sexual favors for iron. This exchange shocked the English sailors, who were unaccustomed to such interactions.
Iron, rare and valuable to the islanders, represented power and wealth. The unusual transactions highlighted both the clash of cultures and the profound impact of European exploration on indigenous societies.

Illegal Alien Looters Arrested
(Fox News) Tennessee authorities said eight migrant workers were arrested for looting a flood-ravaged area of the state in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton announced on Facebook Monday that deputies arrested eight men for looting in the flood-ravaged 107 area on Saturday.

And in a separate story – Venezuelan gangs remain on the prowl. No one with any power to do anything about this gives a shit. Not for another 30 days.
Rome fell to the Germans in the early 400s A.D., primarily due to inherent rot in the Imperial system, which was caused by a series of catastrophic defeats suffered by the Legions. And when the Empire is threatened, who will it turn on? This is an Invasion without resistance.
Ask yourself why.

The video of the man with the Garand with a bayonet blasting away is the answer to the North Carolina looting problem.
and their tyrant problems as well. folks that don’t have anything left to lose are not the ones to be messed with. there are influencers calling for restraint, indicating some are about at that breaking point already. there are reports of looters “taking a missing” too.
If looters fall into a landfill and nobody hears them scream, did they make a sound?
What?
Looting? I see Samantha Power gave $177 million to Lebanon (the country not any of the various flood damaged towns and cities so named). This is days after we discovered FEMA spent a billion via NGOs (no government oversight) to fly illegals into the country. These 8 “migrants” are amateurs. And probably recipients of ngo assistance. (Can’t wait for some sharp lawyer to go all lawfare on the NGOs, their leadership, and funders for all the criminal a ts caused by theeople here only due to their actions.)
Exactly. People keep quoting Solzhenitsyn’s “how we burned in the camps” but that’s not the relevant one. THIS is the relevant Solzhenitsyn quote for today:
“You only have power over people as long as you don’t take everything away from them. But when you’ve robbed a man of everything, he’s no longer in your power—he’s free again.”
—
For all their cleverness our overlords don’t seem to understand this. Or maybe they do. Being hated, being targets of stupid, violent, ungrateful mobs of subhumans is key to their self image and very identity. So it’s possible that on some level, they know their actions are creating a backlash. Maybe they’ll continue to dominate, and even expand their dominion. Or they’ll be persecuted and have horrible things happen to them. But either road, they get something they want.

Yes, it sounds nuts. But there it is.
“Freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose”
Freedom is just another word for nothin’ left to lose .
Kris Kristofferson knew a thing or two .
Kris was the voice of America for a long time. He still is in the grave.
And the FEMA people telling the citizens aiding the populace to desist.
I don’t quite know how to respond to the ignorant elites who are cackling at the distress of people in a destroyed part of the country. They will go too far (as Mike_C suggests above) and then there will be no going back. Shot heard round the world and all that.
You can’t really go wrong with a Garand in .30-06. Nice rifle, good bayonet mount, great for shooting, stabbing and clubbing.
–
Still kicking myself for never getting a Garand or a Springfield or a Carbine or M1917 when they were cheap and available. Stupid me, so many dumb things to get instead.
Despite some here on VM who hate the M-14, it was little more than an improved Garand. When the SEALs were finished with it, the modified M-14 that they now use, it didn’t look all that much like the original but it was significantly lighter and problems like the rear tang screw coming loose were solved. The M-14 in use now and in recent years is a serious killing machine. The Garand and by extension, the Browning Automatic Rifle were very good, but there are better machines now. That said, I’d buy a Garand in a heartbeat today if I could afford one.
I bought mine from the CMP. It’s one of their Special Grades with new everything, except the receiver. Even has the CMP cartouche on the stock. Beautiful rifle for those times when you really need to reach out and touch someone.
I just received one.
Only to find it’s a Century Arms.
Some good some bad. I’ll find out.
I.D. the vehicle #3 Citroën 3CV
Amazing variation, unique modification? I couldn’t find any 3 wheeled Citrëon’s produced.
All other models were front wheel drive.
Is the single front wheel in the foto powered?
Other interesting Citroën trivia I just learned:
2 cylinder and 4 cylinder flat 4 power trains, sporting 50+ mph.
The 1969 – 71 Citroën M35 was powered by a single rotary.
1974 Citroën GS Birotor featured a dual rotary manufactured by Comotor. It performed up to 7,000 rpm!
The joint investment of the manufacturing plant located on 200 acres in Germany contributed to bankruptcy of Citroën.
A Dutch ” Van Veen” OCR 1000 motorcycle was designed around the Comotor rotary engine. 38 of these motorcycles were produced between 1974 and 1978.
By 2011, the leftover OCR 1000 parts had been purchased by Andries Wielinga, who built 10 complete motorcycles for sale.
” Open Mic ” sourced mostly from Wikipedia.
The Concerts – Oh What A Savior: Wow…dug around and found it as a 1973 pressing, with great comments:
-“One of those albums you buy for the cover but are pleasantly surprised by how strong the music is when listening.”
– “The closing track, “Your Savior is Trash,” is unnecessarily divisive, but this stalwart of the beehive-field-folk genre will win many over with its stern, judgmental sound.” (Babylon Bee grade satire)
– “I didn’t know that Glen Campbell, Amy Poehler, and Norman Bates made music together.”
– “That is the most awesome hairstyle I have ever seen. Not only attention-getting, but also practical. For example: She could have battered down a castle door during a medieval siege with that hair. You could also use that hair as a counterweight during a particularly challenging area in rock climbing. I think it’s important for all of us to bring back this hairstyle some way, somehow.”
– “I wonder if she had neck problems from supporting the weight of that hair?”
**And my favorite to what you said (“The higher the hair the closer to God”)
– Reply 1: “They probably think they get raptured into Eternal Life where you do have time for such hairdo.”
—- Reply to Reply 1: “No you’ve got it backwards. The rapture actually happened during the 70’s. It just went really slow and their hair looked like that for a year or two while they were getting sucked up to heaven.”
—Epic find LL…and they have a great sound.

VDH- Spot on and measured as usual…but will his brilliance have any influence? Likely not. Noticing that at least half the people make up their minds to do something without understanding or accepting the consequences of their own actions, giving themselves a free pass (aka self-exoneration without culpability) due to severe tone-deafness of said action on their part, then eternally whining – often to God – “How did this happen?”, then wanting Him to fix it.

Every Dem run city looks like a 3rd world hellhole (h/t PDJT) thanks to the elected “leadership” misappropriating We The People’s confiscated tax monies for their own agenda(s), not for America’s. The insane lack of response for Helene in NC and elsewhere proves this out in spades. Yet everyday we hear the tortured logic utilized by The Left, somehow wishing away the results of their own faulty actions. SISU MAGA ™ — stay the course and excise those in your life stealing your peace and happiness (aka ‘chi’), even if massively painful in the process.

How can you not fondly remember My Favorite Martian, Mr Ed, or Adam 12? Later fare would be The Six-Million Dollar Man and Emergency…great shows.
PaulM – on the hairdo – it’s said that the style led to the hairspray being used to wipe out the Ozone surrounding the planet. Remember when THAT was going to kill us all until they moved to Global Warming – and when that was shown to be a hoax, to “Climate Change” which means absolutely nothing. Frankly, if we’re to be wiped out it will be another ice age. Or a giant comet augering in from the Oort Cloud at 25,000 mph.
As my dad said when faced with inoperable lung cancer, “Just as soon get hit in the ass by a bus, over quick and you don’t see it coming.” (Yeah, the man was a SISU Warrior that I try/work/fail to live up to every day…he embodied Maximus’ line, “Death smiles at us all, all a man can do is smile back.”)
Just smile back and appreciate that it’s been a good run.

What Tesla did not foresee was that the “huge brane” (sic) would be retarded and full mainly of porn, bad cat photos, risibly awkward Chinese propaganda, slick Jewish propaganda, and idiots flinging metaphorical poop at each other.
:)
“idiots flinging metaphorical poop at each other”. Mike_C you may have won the internet today for that phrase.
For years, when people refer to me as Mr. Ed I reply “Awww Geee Wilbur…”
But I cannot find a clip of Ed saying that anywhere.
Re: The Cat with the Gat and the fish holding one:
When people suggest that it would be bad policy to arm teachers, I reply that “It’s no fun shooting fish in a barrel when the fish can shoot back.”
After Hurricane Rita, a local news report was about some looters arrested. They were dressed like the officials allowed in for “helping” until the locals were allowed in and brazenly loading what they could on four wheelers. I don’t know what happened to them, but many looters (according to a deputy that officially would deny their comment) didn’t have the luxury of three hots and a cot. It’s how locals handle their problems after a disaster. Wise officials allow the locals to return, and stay out of the way of their clean-up efforts. If they don’t, those locals that have made their way back in, or never left, consider all strangers a threat, and don’t call 911. Since there are already bodies to be discovered, another dead body is just another statistic.
COVID inoculations.
This has become personal. My sister, nearly nine years younger than me, is hospitalized with severe edema. Her heart and lungs are not the problem (small blessing there). They now suspect bacterial infection and have isolated four rare bacteria. What does this have to do with COVID one might ask. She has had every shot and booster. I have never had one nor have I had a flu shot in many years. There is no ‘proof’ the shots have anything to do with her problem. Likewise, there is no ‘proof’ they haven’t wrecked her immune system. Prior to COVID, neither of us got “sick” even when others around us were suffering. I still don’t get sick. Now she does, often.
WSF, I hope your sister fully recovers. I don’t plan on taking either the COVID vaccine or this year’s flu shot. Don’t see where there is any upside to taking it.
I’m truly sorry to hear that, WSF. I’ve personally known many people whose health was destroyed by the vax. There are more accounts still like yours where the operant variable would seem to be the vax. The Covid/flu was no small thing but the vax either had no effect on it or it had a bad effect on people like your sister.
X2 to Ed_B & LL…my same sentiments.

The mRNA delivery mechanism (cautioned from Dr. Malone himself to not be used in this manner) appears to alter the cell-level DNA of a person causing future health proclivities to manifest 40-50 years sooner. This was a culling solution, not a vaccine (‘against a coronavirus’ is the first clue), and VAER’s was going to the hundreds of thousands before they “stopped recording” when 50 adverse events would have been enough for the FDA (Federal Diabolical Agency) to immediately pull this thing from the market. And the ‘off-label/zero liability’ aspect is exactly why no one should have gotten the shot. Gates, Fauci, et al. are evil, no more complicated than that.
UPDATE: The diagnoses is four separate uncommon bacteria showing up in tests. She is being treated by infectious disease specialists. Forecast discharge from the hospital is 10/7 or 10/8.
Thank all of you for your comments.
Here in Glennville GA I have finished clearing the broken limbs that I can move, pine cones, and pine straw out of the yard so I could mow the grass. I have 4 limbs that will need to be cut up or out of a tree to be moved. I have 7 piles of yard debris that are 4+ cubic yards in size. I checked on my chainsaw that has been at the shop since June. It is on the bench waiting on a part that should be in Monday. As a reward to myself I drove 50 miles to the coast for a fine seafood lunch today. I also topped off my truck and 2 five gallon gas tanks.
I am seeing video’s of government officials doing nothing or obstructing citizens from helping in NC. We are less than a week in this financial year and FEMA has already blown their budget? Biden will not send in the military to help, WTF? An asst fire chief threatening a chopper pilot with arrest for wanting to go back for the husband after rescuing a woman and the a city manager defending it? The liberty tree needs a good hard shaking.
I’m only afraid we’re going to be hearing a lot of, “I vas chust following ordas!” in the coming days.
“Respect my a-thor-a-tay” is already far too widespread for my liking.
congress left fema out of the continuing resolution once they found out that fema had spent nearly a billion on housing illegals. mayorcas outsmarted himself on that one.
… and yet, somehow the Press is not full of condemnation of the Biden / Harris regime
over this worthless response to Helene, in the way they were with Bush II and the fairly
decent Katrina response.

Must be just a coincidence.

Those arrestees? Originally given $20,000 bond each, but some judge reduced it to $1,000, so they’re out. What is wrong with people?
–
Sorry, looters should be shot, hung, flayed, chipper-shredded or just forced to work naked on storm cleanup, especially on days-old body recovery, and then never given any medical treatment afterwards. Let them become lepers or walking examples of flesh-eating bacteria, until they expire and half a can of kerosene will clean up the mess.

Got no truck on assholes who prey upon the unfortunate. Got no truck on assholes who stop people trying to take out the assholes who prey upon the unfortunate. Let the Committees of Vigilance do the job that the local/state/federal governments are unwilling to do.

I’d gladly be my handle on this one. I’ll tie the rope and kick the box for a short drop foot-kicker or do a slow pull until their feet don’t touch, and let them hang over oil barrels to catch the diseased runoff of the rotting corpses because the good people of this nation don’t need that filth contaminating our lands. Close up the barrels and drop them back on their home countries with a big effin sign saying “Screw You All. Stay Home or Die!”

Maybe donate a lot of politicians to join the ‘barrel brigade.’

(un)Civil War. I don’t know how we can avoid it at this point.

Especially after Kumswalla just announced that the Federal Government, which has no money to help actual US citizens in dire need, will be sending $157 million to the people of Lebanon (read here – Hezbollah) to help them recover from Israel making the rubble bounce and bounce. Bitch. She needs to stop breathing.

On the other hand, got to watch President Trump’s rally return to Butler, PA. And watch Elon Musk join him. The Donks really screwed up when they weaponized Musk against them. Wonder what next act of lawfare the current administration will use against SpaceX, Starlink and Tesla?
I’d like to urge LL to begin writing a book with just that title: “The (un)Civil War”.
