            1. Mysterious? I’ll give it a shot but there are people on this blog who have forgotten more than I know on the topic. The sail isn’t a conning tower and the periscopes (that only contain cameras now) and sensor masts need a place to be fitted. Later Soviet designs had blisters more than sails and later US Virginia, Sea Wolf and Ohio boats have very small sails and I strongly doubt that they create an acoustic signature of any significance. I know more about SEAL Delivery Vehicles (SDVs both MK VIII and MK IX were in service when I was at SDVT-1) and Dry Dock Shelters that are fitted to submarine decks than to the submarines themselves. SDV’s don’t have sails but can use periscopes. The masts were only a couple of feet long.

3. I know several people who left the military because they were unwilling to get the COVID “vaccine”. Also know a few, including me, who retired or left civil service for the same reason. Most of them have moved on and even if the gov offered their jobs back would not take it. Maybe there will be a court case or two where the gov will get sued and maybe a settlement of some sort will reached in about 10 or 15 years, maybe. When the populace loses faith in their government it is pretty darn hard to get it back. The repercussions of the CDC, FDA and DOD as well as all the state governments running roughshod over peoples rights will echo for a generation.

9. A friend of mine left the Ann Arbor Fire Department after finally attaining the rank of Inspector.
   When I say left, I mean he was fired for not taking the jab for religious reasons.
   Ann Arbor would not accept his reason, even with his pastor at his side.

   They could get rid of him and replace him with a DEI.

      So we’re in the midst of hiring a guy who was fired from his hospital job about 3y ago for refusing the mRNA shot. (I knew he was fired for this through back channels, though I didn’t know the guy personally. On his cover letter it says that he quit his medical gig and went into IT for “personal growth” reasons or some such BS.) Being me, I brought up the vaxx during the interview (after it was clear the guy was a good match). After some back and forth, he figured out where I stand on this, and he sort of collapsed in relief. “I thought I was blackballed from the field forever!” It was pretty draconian. Most people in the medical field went along to get along, and many genuinely believed the mRNA poison was a Good Thing. In general, the more “rank” you have, (MD=commission) the stronger the belief in the efficacy of the clot shot. [long personal tale of avoiding the clot shot redacted]

I read a lot about the RETURN OF COVID now that we’re entering an election cycle, but I doubt strongly that the public would go along with lockdowns over a seasonal flu (admittedly a harsh one) for a second time. They could go with war or maybe release weaponized small pox among the population with a 90% fatality rate in the hopes of only wiping out “the wrong kind of people.” I’m sure that there will be something to threaten “our democracy” on the eve of the election.

I’d be worried about tailored/gene-targeted infectious diseases. Particularly those spread via aerosol (as opposed to, say, sexual or blood contact). THAT is 2030’s. O brave new world that has such horrors in it.

         1. RR – The concept of applying force to US Citizens to take an experimental drug that has at times lethal consequences should have provoked a backlash that was not in evidence. It mystifies me, but then again nobody tried to force me to do that.

Heck, Biden – wherever he’s hiding – could forgo the Bill and simply sign an EO if he’s so supportive. Double heck…Harris could take credit for it (who cares, it’s a win for tip recipients).

             1. I have a friend who owns a restaurant and when you pay the tip at the register, it goes into HIS pocket rather than into a pool or the pockets of waiters. He explained how it worked to me and how it’s pumped up his bottom line. After that I never pay ANYTHING at a register beyond the base price. If I tip, I do it the Rhode Island way, Kle. In cash, in person.

11. Several of my doctors claim they are still taking the shot. My family and some friends do also. They really believe in it and they are afraid. I guess they just have to be part of the in crowd. I regret that I took the shot while recovering from cancer at my dr’s insistence with his puppy dog eyes. The second shot made my feet go numb with in 24 hours. They do not get better. I am done with all vaccines for a while. Don’t know I will ever take another. Trust no one.

    2. Sorry to hear that. It’s difficult for most people to tell their doctor no, especially if they just treated you successfully for cancer. I mean, they sort of earned the cred, right? And the doctors were under great pressure to get everyone vaccinated. Plus they mostly seemed to believe in the mRNA “vaxx” thing.

       So far as I can tell, ALL of the MDs I work with range from enthusiastically pro-vaxx to neutral (but unwilling to speak against it). Some of the non-MDs (e.g. techs) privately tell me they are done with shots in general. They will no longer get the flu shot, for example. These are not “anti-vaccine” people. They used to follow the guidelines, but the vaxx scam has broken their trust. I am in that camp.

       I went through something similar WHILE being treated for lymphoma. My oncologist was very insistent for two main reasons. First, I think she genuinely believed it would somehow “protect” me. Second, ALL MDs were being audited (effectively) on what percentage of their patients had gotten the vaxx. It was a job performance metric.

       Here’s where it goes off the rails: So the whole point of the chemotherapy was to kill >99% of my white cells every three weeks. The vaxx works by causing your body to make the infamous “spike protein” that it then learns to recognize as foreign and in need of killing. (How is this different from giving yourself an auto-immune disease? Yes, I know the spike protein thing is supposed to be temporary, but still. Plus, it’s been found in people long after the body was supposed to stop making it. Anyway …) What in the body learns to recognize the spike proteins? The white cells! So we train up a batch of my white cells to recognize the bad COVID invader. Great. Then we kill all of those trained white cells. There is no benefit of the vaxx to a guy undergoing R-CHOP chemo. On the other hand, the vaxx is known to make people hypercoagulable (prone to blood clots). Cancer is also associated with hypercoagulability. “So I see clear downsides to me getting the vaxx, but no upside. What am I missing here?” The oncologist admitted she didn’t know. She called in an Infectious Disease specialist for consult. I met with the ID doc, explained my position. “I’m just a knuckle-dragging cardiologist. What am I misunderstanding?” To my shock (and gratitude) the ID doc said, “Nothing. You are correct. I will write a note documenting that you should NOT receive the mRNA vaccine while undergoing chemotherapy.” (This was a big deal because the hospital where I worked, and where I had my health insurance from, was threatening to fire me if I did not take the vaxx. No job, no health insurance. Would have been wiped out financially by the chemo and hospital stays.)

       At this time they were threatening to take away hospital privileges (basically ability to treat patients and bill for it) from docs who wrote any sort of vaxx exemption. It was never written down, but common knowledge. So the ID doc put herself on the line for me. (No They were not going to blacklist her for one case, probably, but the instances add up. And They keep track of your professional heresy.)

       My oncologist kept after me nonetheless. “You know, we, the system, are spending a lot of money to treat you. It is wrong and reckless to refuse the vaccine.” Me: It’s not a vaccine by normal definitions, and we’ve established it is likely to be actively harmful to me. This went on for several visits until I told her (and her staff), “If anyone comes at me with a syringe of the mRNA vaccine I will consider it an attempt to do me permanent, life-altering injury. And I will respond accordingly.” There was a few seconds of silence and then the PA said, “Are you threatening to shoot us?” Of course not. “No, I’m not threatening to shoot you or anyone. I’m saying that I think the mRNA stuff will do permanent harm to me and I will protect myself if anyone tries to administer it against my will. I can’t control how you choose to interpret that statement.” That ended the matter, finally. (For the record, the oncologist and her staff were good at oncology, and meant well. I’m sure they thought the vaxx was a good thing. I just happen to think they were wrong in that belief.) I’m not sure I could have got away with any of that if I were not an MD myself (not the shooting someone in the face thing, just getting taken seriously enough that they called for the ID consult). There really was a LOT of pressure to get people to take the jab. (I know, “just following orders” is no excuse, but there we are.)

          Pretty mercenary.
          A doctor must prove him or herself to me.

Last year MrsPaulM goes in for some MD pre foot surgery workup…woman behind the desk says, “Huh, seems you’re not in the system, you must not have gotten the Covid vaccine.” Woman was lucky I wasn’t in there, fortunately for her MrsPaulM handled it better than I would have. Effr’s are tracking everyone, HIPPA be damned.

Thankfully a year out of his life will give him the next 30 (God willing). We all get life curveballs in one form or another, how we handle them is what’s critical…having medical staff one is supposed to trust buy into the big pharma pablum is unnerving at best. (There is a reason for no cold/coronavirus vaccine despite decades of best efforts, which makes this one a DNA manipulator at the very least…and a culling agent at the worst.)

    me: will you refuse to continue treating me should I not be interested in vaccinations?
    My doc: should I wish to continue to work with this group and practice in this state, I’m required to make the suggestion – and I’ve checked that box. I’ll make the suggestion again at your next visit.

    1. They no longer ask me. I think that it’s in my chart. I have a new general care physician since the former MD retired and I like the new guy, who is close to retirement. It’s also in my chart that I visit the doctor armed (lawfully). A lady drew my blood a few months ago and noticed the holster. I told her that I left the handgun in my car. She asked about my dagger. I said that I have that. She couldn’t have seen it but said that it’s in my chart that I’m known to carry it. When they weigh me and I take all the crap off, extra mags, etc. it must have made an impression in the past and somebody wrote it down. I explained, There’s no need to weigh me with twenty pounds of hardware added to the base number. They’re tolerant. I can only imagine what Mike_C’s associates would say. Maybe they’d question me on why I need more than one magazine reload or they’d ask if the dagger is sharp. The primary retired MD did ask why the particular length and I showed him that it was all medical – target armpit to heart, under the ribcage to heart, over the ribcage to heart. He seemed impressed at the time. That was a long time ago.

       1. My doc said the covid shots were not traditional vaccines as we traditionally knew them, and I might maybe hold off a while before getting the shot to see how things worked out. But as a practical matter, when I learned the drug companies were exempt from liability, that made up my mind to never take the shot. Simple as that.

    Talk about being thrown under the bus. The USN should have just put him and his family on the USS Tarawa when they sunk it given the way they were treated. Sure, it’s tragic that seamen Mullen died but he volunteered to go to selection. He made the choice to take performance enhancing drugs that made his heart swell three times the size of a normal heart and did God knows what else to his mind and body. The fact that the USN was willing to destroy man w/24 years in the teams and his family really tells you a lot about the state of our military today. No one has your six. What an absolute disgrace!
