Send in the Cubans?

Blog Post
(Fox News) The word is out that the Cubans have advance teams on the ground in Syria in preparation for deployments of Cuban Army armored infantry units who will support the Iranian Kuds Force, Russian Naval Infantry and Russian Army units.  I’m sure that Raul Castro cleared it with his new best friend, Barack Obama.
From Fox (cited above) Gen. Leopoldo Cintra Frias, head of Cuba’s Armed Forces, recently visited Syria to lead a group of Cuban military personnel joining forces with Russia in their support of Assad, according to information received by the University of Miami’s Institute for Cuban and Cuban-American Studies.
On Wednesday, a U.S. official confirmed to Fox News that Cuban paramilitary and special forces units are on the ground in Syria, citing evidence from intelligence reports. The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Cuban troops may have been training in Russia and may have arrived in Syria on Russian planes.

The Chinese People’s Liberation Army’s Navy aircraft carrier battle group centered on the Liaoning (formerly Varyag) is expected to depart within the month to join their Russian allies off the Syrian littorals in support of whatever operations the Russians decide to undertake.
It’s all fun and games with Barack Obama serving as US President and the game of kick me can be played with no consequences. In fact, Obama feels that the Russians, Chinese and Cubans are his friends.
There is no word of North Korea joining in the circle jerk, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they sent troops as well.

From Fox (cited above) The U.S. official described Cuban’s involved in Syria as similar to the “Cuba-Angola arrangement” — a reference to Cuban troops operating on behalf of the Soviets in several central African countries in the 1970’s. Cuba also sent troops to Syria in 1973 to support them in the Yom Kippur War against Israel and deployed officers to observe Israeli military tactics.

  1. It's Neville Chamberlain and "peace in our time" all over again. History repeats for those with eyes to see. The world is full of bullies who will push an issue, but respect strength. It's important to remain strong for that reason – and soft nations (or nations which have become soft with complacency) end up on the losing end. We all want peace, but the price of that is eternal vigilance.

  2. The lemmings who want Hillary Clinton (whether its free cheese or simply because she's a woman) have lined up and will vote for her no matter what unless DOJ indicts her for crimes that would have eviscerated anyone else…but she is "special". If DNC has an indication from the FBI that she will face charges, they'll push Biden into the race in his clown car, because Sanders can't win.

I don't think that the majority of American voters (many of whom can't find Texas on a map, let alone Syria) care. Those 10-15% who are swing voters can't help but shy away from her and "another Obama term – except this time with a female version of Barack" may be off-putting.

I don't trust an electorate who sent Obama to the White House twice to do the right thing — ever, unless Iran successfully lands a nuke on US soil.

  3. With the Cuban Army headed to Syria, it would make sense, but since Communist Cuba is an ally of the Obama Administration, I sense that an invasion isn't in the cards… However and just for this record, IF I were to invade Cuba, and I personally have no plans to do so, I would not invade at Bahia de Cochinos.

  4. It remains to be seen whether the FBI and Main Justice do the right thing with Hillary…and shuffle her off to the Martha Stewart cell.

  5. If Biden gets into the race, it is because DOJ will indict. Otherwise he stays out. That's how I see it.

In the real world, even an admonishment would hurt her political career. But 1) we don't live in the real world anymore, 2) she is already guilty, even the public can see that, 3) Comey's memoir will include a chapter saying that he recommended felony charges, and that will be it.
