Please try not to damage the place while I’m away. Be civil. Kindness is a virtue. I’m on the road and will post when I’m able. Have a fun Labor Day Weekend. Don’t mind me – out there keeping the world safe for humanity while you’re burning brats and swilling beverages poolside.
Bullet Points:
** Eleven million. Always eleven million.
** No more drug shipments from Mexico? (right) Correos de México, the national postal service, announced that it would halt package deliveries to the United States, effective immediately. That will sting…
** The Lebanese government will reportedly attempt to persuade rather than coerce Hezbollah to disarm. Hezbollah is unlikely to disarm on its own accord and has historically evaded previous disarmament efforts. US Special Envoy Thomas Barrack stated that the Lebanese government will focus on persuasion to encourage Hezbollah disarmament, following his meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on August 26. Barrack announced that Lebanon will present a plan on August 31 that aims to encourage Hezbollah to surrender its weapons to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF). Hezbollah’s threats to encourage violence if efforts to disarm it persist suggest that the group is attempting to test the government’s willingness to disarm it. A plan based on persuasion is therefore unlikely to disarm Hezbollah successfully, because the group will face few negative consequences if it declines to do so. Barrack is attempting to build an ”economic zone” in southern Lebanon to court Hezbollah’s supporters, which is an incentive for the rank-and-file of Hezbollah fighters, but would probably not court ideologically motivated Hezbollah fighters and leadership. Hezbollah has used financial incentives, including jobs, salaries, pensions, and benefits, to retain its support base among Lebanese Shia civilians and to recruit young fighters.
** Necessity is the mother of invention.
** Iran is unlikely to meet the E3 (the United Kingdom, France, and Germany) conditions to extend the snapback mechanism deadline before the E3’s end-of-August deadline. The E3 set a deadline for Iran to reach a “substantial deal” by the end of August before the E3 triggers the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action snapback mechanism to reimpose UN Security Council sanctions on Iran.
** EBT Cruises – Put your tax dollars to work entertaining our undocumented guests. The SS Section Eight.
** Gene Simmons identifies the very best job possible in Western culture.
** “We will ride until our enemies are defeated or our horses can no longer carry us.” John Hunt Morgan (Fresh horses, and whiskey for my men!)
** Burning Man was shut down as rain and dust storms slammed into the celebration of Sodom and Gomorrah. The camping ground was turned into a sea of mud, but when did mud stop a serious sex orgy and an orgy of different illegal drugs? I mean, when you’re tripping on Orange Sunshine, you don’t know which dimension of space-time your head is in.
Welcome to Baghdad
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani Receives US Congressional Delegation
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani received a US Congressional delegation yesterday, including Republican Representative Darin LaHood and Democratic Representative Steve Cohen. They discussed developing bilateral relations and ways to advance them in various fields.
His Excellency welcomed the delegation’s visit to Baghdad and commended their efforts to strengthen bilateral relations, particularly within the framework of the Strategic Framework Agreement. He emphasized Iraq’s keenness to enhance cooperation with the United States, particularly in the fields of energy and investment.
The situation in the region was reviewed, and the Prime Minister highlighted Iraq’s firm and supportive position on dialogue to ensure security and stability and expand the scope of the relationship to include various sectors.
For their part, the congressional delegation expressed its admiration for the progress achieved in Iraq in terms of construction and stability. They thanked Iraq for its close cooperation in the fight against terrorism, praised the level of relations between the two countries, and considered them essential to the United States. They described Iraq as a vital partner, and affirmed the US administration’s desire to cooperate closely with Iraq and work with it to achieve stability throughout the region.
Iranian Influence in Iraq: Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammad Shia al Sudani withdrew the Popular Mobilization Authority bill from parliament on August 27, reportedly due to US threats to sanction Iraq if he did not withdraw the bill. The Popular Mobilization Authority bill would likely increase Iran’s influence in the Iraqi political and security spheres by formalizing key structures of the Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
A great deal is happening in Iraq. Pay attention.
Germans Come to Their Senses
The German welfare state is no longer financially sustainable, according to Friedrich Merz, who said this on Saturday.
The chancellor argued for a fundamental reassessment of the benefits system, as spending continues to soar past last year’s record of €47 billion (£40 billion).
In a state-level party conference meeting on Saturday, Mr Merz said: “The welfare state as we have it today can no longer be financed with what we can economically afford.”
Does that mean that they’ll send the chronically unemployed Muslims back to the savage lands they came from?
In Chicago – Crime is Good
Chicagoans “Gladly Willing” to “Take a Bullet” in Support of Mayor Johnson
Despite a continuing escalation in violent crimes in Chicago, including deadly shootings, Democratic Leadership continues to state that Chicagoans are literally willing to “take a bullet” in support of their failing policies.
On Tuesday, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson again refused federal help to reduce crime, noting “my fellow Chicagoans would literally rather be shot than support Trump’s racist overreach.”
“Gun violence remains a ‘rich part’ of Chicago’s vibrant multiracial culture and reducing such shootings is akin to re-enacting Jim Crow laws,” offered Mayor Johnson behind a bulletproof screen and surrounded by more than a dozen Chicago Police officers. “My constituents understand that being shot is simply a ‘rite of passage’ in many of our more ‘ethnic areas’ of the city,” continued Johnson. “Having gun violence spreading throughout the City of Chicago is simply bringing together various cultures to enjoy the City together,” concluded Johnson.
“He said what now?” queried Russell Washington from his hospital gurney while awaiting treatment from a recent gunshot wound at Jefferson Park Hospital in Chicago’s Southwest side Englewood neighborhood.
“While I have always supported the Democratic party, I sorta [sic] liked the idea of having some additional police in my neighborhood when I heard the gunshots starting,” finished Washington as he was wheeled into a surgical suite for further treatment.
In related news: Illinois Governor JB Pritzker supported Mayor Johnson’s statements and echoed his disdain for President Trump’s overreach, noting that he [Pritzker] was so upset by Trump’s threatened actions [to bring National Guard troops to Chicago] that he could barely finish his fourth jumbo Italian beef sandwich at lunch.
Identify the Aircraft
1
Twin-engine, twin-seat, all-weather jet-powered fighter aircraft.
This is how the ejection system worked:
- A lever blew off a hatch on the aircraft’s belly, exposing the chute.
- Each crew member would then pivot in their seat, slide backward down the chute feet-first, and exit the plane through the bottom of the fuselage.
- This system was preferred over ejection seats because the side-by-side cockpit layout and the bulky radar systems made standard ejection seats of the era difficult to implement.
The escape chute system, although unusual, was thoroughly tested and proved to be a viable, if not ideal, solution for emergency escapes.

2

3
This variant features a widened fuselage and side-by-side seating for two pilots, as well as space for extra crew or equipment, making it highly versatile. It was equipped with a Stanley Yankee extraction system. This system utilized twin rockets, connected to the pilot’s harness, to blow the canopy clear and deploy a parachute upon activation, rather than relying on a traditional seat-ejection system.

Burning Man – you’d think hippies and neo-hippies would love dirt and mud. It’s organic, isn’t it?
Dirt is good fer ya, keeps the immune system operating, whereas sand, not so much, gets into the deadlocks and weird spots in the Lululemon tights.
Wait, those were Lulemon tights? I thought it was latex body paint. Nothing between nature and … whatever …
I didn’t seem to see the numbers of crazy vehicles on the road headed there, and lots of campers in the Walmart parking lots earlier in the week when they should have been at the event. Makes sense now. I’m thinking that with all of the rain/wind events at Burning Man the last few years, that attendance and interest in the event would drop. No telling.
Maybe the local dumpsters won’t be as overflowing with trash and bicycles this year post-event. Many places here have to lock up their receptacles to prevent overflow. So the travelers just dump trash beside the dumpster. So much for “saving the environment” and such.
Potential electrocution – that sucks. However, “Think of it as evolution in action”.
Safe travels, and thanks for saving the world!
You’re welcome.

Nothing exceeds the hypocrisy of environmental warriors and their leaders. (How dare you!)

A shameless request for legal assistance: Does anyone have a recommendation for an extremely good attorney authorized to stand in the US District Court For The District Of Idaho?
*****
Many Thanks.
Dave, e-mail me at larry.lambert-at-mac.com. Let me know (#1) the nature of the case – charges – do you have a copy of the indictment? (#2) does the defendant want to plea or go to trial. The second question may not make sense, but it matters on who you pick to represent you. (#3) if it’s a multi-party indictment, do you know if people higher up toward #1 than your person have already made a deal? – surprisingly, that also weighs in on who you may wish to hire.
In my conservative experience there a minimum of 35 million illegal aliens in the US.
I believe Ann Coulter first mentioned the 11 million figure in the late 1990s.
X2…11M is old number, new-ish estimate is 35-45 million, especially after the last 4 years of intentional WIDE OPEN Borders, a clear and present danger of treasonous activity foisted on America by those whose supposedly work for WTP under an Oath taken to protect The Constitution and our sovereign country. Flagrant defying…and defilement.
A.K.A. TREASON!
Absolutely! Callin’ it for what it is.
Try up. Like over 50 million.
Heck, who knows anymore…but, yeah, could be 50M+ if one extrapolates ‘X’ number over two decades of open border treason.
There are 55 million visas. Three-quarters of those are overstays, plus those who crossed the border illegally. So all of you are throwing out lowball numbers. Are you democrats?
@LL- Heh…NO!
Dad would tell me, “Decide what your estimate will be then double it…if you come in below that you look like a hero.”
Guessing it might be upwards of 60 or 70 million at this point, including the anchor wannabe’s and Dreamer types (another fallacy…sorry, iff’n M&D came here illegally YOU are also illegal).
If there is anywhere under 100 (one hundred) million immigrants, whose primary language spoken at home is Spanish, I would be highly suprised.
Please note I’m not differentiating between legal and not-so-legal: these days it would be almost impossible to tell.
Why am I saying this:
about ⅓ (one-third) of the advertisements I see today on television (and quite a number of billboards) are written/produced in Spanish only
Se habla español en Virtual Mirage, Boron. (Or is it Borono?)
“Does that mean that they’ll send the chronically unemployed Muslims back to the savage lands they came from?” I think the message Mertz sent when he said, “the German welfare state is no longer financially sustainable,” was saying they don’t have the money do that. Or much of anything.
~~~
“Sorry, peasants. It’s your problem now. My plane is leaving now, so good luck!”
Exactly!
The message is to pensioners, no more for them.
Open Mic…okay then…
The Dementor who shot up the Minneapolis Catholic school yesterday did everyone a favor by taking the cowards way out. Let God sort him out. Yet, that city’s Democrats (who allowed the riots and have yet to rebuild the 3rd Precinct headquarters burned down over the Floyd debacle/lie) decided to double down on their equally demented mental state and say “it was the gun”, and “we” (who’s “we” moron?..he meant ‘him’ and his idiotic cohorts, like Walz)…anywho…”we support our transgender (no such thing) community members”, or some nonsense only an asinine politician could spout with a galactic level of tone deafness.
.
Time to call what these types do for what it is: EVIL. THAT also includes those trying to obfuscate it, either directly (Dems an MSM), or indirectly like YT in their attempts to scrub this latest domestic terrorists channel content, video’s clearly showing demonic possession (assuming HE wasn’t just a good actor) and unhinged mental states. The Dems are evil, simple as that.
And where was dad? Unknown. Where was mom? Oh, that’s right, she helped her mental patient offspring get the name change from Robert to Robin, embracing his transgender (no such thing) whacko bent. YET NO ONE STEPPED IN when this 23 yo was clearly in need of serious intervention. What were any of you doing at 23? My parents had a home, two sons already, and were uostanding citizens trying to make something of themselves. Me? I was planning my move to the Rocky Mtn West…not planning a terrorist attack.
Pure evil is running open loop…time to squash it like the cockroach it is.
.
At this point God will sort him out…and I pray the little ones murdered in cold blood (getting dusty in here), for no reason, find comfort in the arms of The Savior, same goes for their families.
At 23 I graduated from Air Force Undergraduate Pilot Training.
Exactly…productive members of society who take their own lives seriously don’t look for excuses but opportunities. Btw, h/t on the AF pilot aspect.
Thanks.
At 23 I was working my posterior off with two jobs, college, and getting my instrument rating. I had already burned my life down once, but I had new plans! G-d was laughing at those plans, but I didn’t know that yet. I was focused on my dreams and goals and deadlines to hit ’em.
.
I’ve lost acquaintances to that bitter nihilism that starts with feeling trapped and lacking any way to get better, and ends up biting every hand offered in friendship while raging against G-d. The difference between us was… I never felt trapped. I knew, thanks to moving too many times, that if all else failed, I could swap cities or states and start over. The ones that never moved out of their childhood bedroom never got the terrifying freedom to fail, and it destroyed them.
Seems we all were doing whatever it took to make something of ourselves…continuing the habit to this day (“never stop learning”..as dad would admonish).
Yesterday – Labor Day – went to Estes Park…sure it’ll be crowded…but thought a walk around the town shops and the Festival booths would be good break and fun…followed by an epic Italian evening meal and a nice red wine on the patio of Mama Rosa’s overlooking the stream. Got there…coming into town and that asinine 50-50-1 protest was happening unbeknownst to us…all over the sidewalks was this massive crowd of leftover hippies with manufactured “Trump=Hitler” signs, screaming at cars all manner of demented mental illness. We left inside of 20 minutes, we simply do not have the patience to ignore the anarchists while out for a nice day…which these cretins selfishly ruined for every vendor and patron who made the drive up.
Those are the types who at 23 were playing Frisbee on the Quad NOT getting their degree in social science.
At 23, I was a sergeant.
At 23 I was working at Fermilab…..
We’re not worthy, we’re not worthy. Cool. I always wanted to work at Bell Labs in Joizey, but managed to work in a place while at Penn State…learned everything I needed to know about product development, mechanical, electrical, PCB, manufacturing, parts procurement…the whole process. Served me well.
Evil. Demonic. Satanicly influenced.
“Rioter”
My Aunt Fannie’s ass: floppy ears, tail and all.
May NBC rot in hell – for all time – until the heat death of the universe.
You go right ahead and ‘enjoy’ those skanks at Burning Man… I ‘survived’ Haight Ashbury… Re the F3D Skyknight, that is the same ‘escape’ system used by the A3D, or Whale, also known as All Three Dead. Almost impossible to get out of at low altitude.
I’m amazed you survived the crowd at Haight and Ashbury who swapped STDs so ardently. You must have an amazing immune system Old NFO!
P. S. Joan Jett is still alive, and I find that factoid almost impossible to believe.
**BREAKING** Apparently not every Grand Jury will indict a ham sandwich…Federal prosecutors on Tuesday were unable to secure a felony assault indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent on the streets of Washington this month, according to two people familiar with the matter.
– Might it have something to do with the fact he gets special treatment as a former federal agent? Nah, that couldn’t be it.
.
https://townhall.com/tipsheet/jeff-charles/2025/08/28/prosecutors-unable-to-get-indictment-against-man-who-threw-sandwich-at-ice-agent-n2662403
The US Attorney overcharged the case. It happens particularly when the prosecutor either lacks experience or there are politicians demanding an unsustainable charge. A no-bill finding is better than taking a POS to trial and getting a not-guilty. They’ll recharge the turd with something appropriate. He couldn’t have caused great bodily injury by throwing a Subway sandwich. If he had the guns to throw a subway train car, that would be different.
Saw that (overcharge)…so was that purposeful to get the case tossed or, as you suggest, a different ploy opportunity to get the ‘unhinged one’ on something else? Time will tell. Patel is “investigating’ Minneapolis…he has better things to do. Guy is dead, what else needs attention? Nothing other than going after mom for creating Frankenstein’s Girly-Haired Monster with Firearms.
The perp has been charged with misdemeanor assault which does not require a grand jury indictment.
P.O.S. prosecutors, Soros D.A.’s… reservations on the Abyss next to “Not” Broadcasting Company blabbers.
An appropriate scenario, concerning the D.C. debacle IMHO would be a string of lesser charges for menacing, obstruction of justice, ect… with consecutive sentences of shining boots over prolonged periodic community service, like once a month for 10 yrs ( at the courthouse for public shame). To be extended if late or no show, and overnight detainment for delayed processing for repeated violations of probation in the roughest county lock ups.
R.I.P Ashley. I pity the sincere souls that thought they really could turn the course of history on J6. Recalling the cell phone clip of big Ray, ” inviting” kids to the party the night before and hearing someone calling out from behind, “fed!”. I’m still seeing the trap set, when all the outer barriers were removed in advance by the U.C. operators. Steve’s P.O.W. flag still hangs in my shop. From what I’ve heard, the whole “stage was set”, not for O’Bidens speech, but to create a ruckus, so an emergency session could be called for the ” vote” and prevent a recount ” investigation “.
And denial of Nat Guard backup.
Did anyone check the receipts for “Rent-a-Riot”?
Gentlemen, hopefully for many of you it’s a ‘no labor’ day weekend and you’re capable of enjoying some downtime…especially our VM blog host.
…God wills it!
Amen!
I’m sorry your stay at Burning Man was cut short by high winds and their destruction of the orgy tent. Oh well. Then there’s Germany, with its interesting track record of war against Russia.
Reading in Psalms just inspired me to watch Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy”.
Excellent!
Random thought – someone could have fun by starting a rumor that the Guard units being sent to big cities are being used to discover who has the talent and ability to run military tribunals :)
burning man- man was just found murdered there. so much for peace and love.
I remember, 25+ years ago, when artists I knew would go disappear for a week or two and come back with everything covered in playa dust. Didn’t seem like something I wanted to do then (too much experience with living outdoors and off-grid to think that sounded fun)… and now, none of the artists who were creating the thing back then could afford to go to it, nor would they particularly enjoy what it’s become.
Always wondered if I should regret turning down the invite back then… But these days, you couldn’t *pay* me enough to go.
I used to visit a Kansas City photographer’s site. He started going to Burning Man and posting the photos he took while there. It struck me as something that would grate on my nerves, and haven’t seen anything since that that would change my mind.
Relayed because it may make Our Host laugh – work finally stopped being All Hands On Deck, so I can resume Helicopter Ground. Boss and the Director of Ops are convinced that all helicopter pilots are half a bubble off… and that I am, too. “How’s it going?”
“Amazing! It’s so refreshing!”
“Oh?”
“I just spent half an hour, and copious notes taken, reviewing a long litany of ‘if you fail to do this, it will kill you. If you get lazy on that, it will kill you. If you fail to have a plan before you move, it will kill you.’ It’s so *lovely* to have an honest approach to flight training!”
“With a mindset like that, why didn’t you start in helicopters in the first place?”
I have a couple friends helicopter rated.
Both started in Nam in combat.
PTSD grounded him while flying NATO cold war. PTSD bad to this day, but still owned and operated a number of businesses up til today.
The other opened a Life Flight business.
Great guys. Great stories.
Helicopters don’t fly. They beat the air into submission….
Sounds like a demented Lefty descriptor.
One of my favorite stories is from a friend of mine who was a chopper pilot in Nam. During their flight back to base something happened to the cyclic. I’m not quite clear on what he was describing but he said that nobody ever survived it. The stick started whirling and whirling and whirling and they were going down. The whole air crew grabbed the stick and beat it into submission and they managed to land in the middle of the airfield and walked away. One of the ground crew manager types came out and told them you can’t land there! They said well we just did.
He told them they’d have to move it and they said they couldn’t and told him what happened. He told them that’s impossible They would have crashed and died. They said, you want it moved, you go moved it.
So he did .
He fired it up and attempted to elevate and put it on its roof.
It’s always a delight to see experts get a chance to show off their abilities :)
