The Celebration of American Independence will kick off at the White Wolf Mine with a chuck wagon breakfast followed by a log-splitting competition and then we will retire to the range to do a little shooting.
Lunch will be burgers, baked beans, potato salad, and watermelon.
Fireworks at night at Winslow, AZ high school. We’ll buy good fireworks at the Rez to augment the city’s display. I’m trying to keep it simple, patriotic, and fun for my extended family who are visiting.
I don’t know if President Trump will run and win a second term. If he does, he will enter the office with a very different perspective from the first time.
Would the Republicans in Congress support him? Don’t count on that happening. The Swamp made them rich just like the democrats.
Can we save the republic? I’d like to think so but I don’t really know. The last national election’s results were suspect.
The Arizona elections remain muddied and uncertain even though in many cases the democrats declared victory and the courts supported that. I personally don’t think that many precincts had elections that could be considered to be free and fair. There were a lot of thumbs on the scales in Arizona.
The Bill of Rights confers rights on the PEOPLE, and limits the government. Here it is:

I think that for the most part, America celebrates. You tend to see it more in smaller towns and cities because the events of the day seem to be all-consuming. You go from home to event to event to home to event when you’re in a small town. Or maybe that’s just my experience because that’s what I’ve done throughout my life. Independence Day is my favorite holiday.

Took a back 2-lane (old route 30) out of West chicago suburbs to pick up I80 in southern Illinois…corn looks nice and high, flags and 4th decorations in every small town on homes, lamp posts, buildings, fences…the whole nine yards. Fireworks started Sunday evening, people showing their National Pride for the greatest country ever conceived. No matter where we stopped people showed their patriotism, proving the Red v Blue election map was, and still is, accurate, while the media propagandists are pushing a false narrative, all day every day to make us believe otherwise.
I think it best we ignore DC for a while and leave the Dem run cities to their own devices.

Back at the homestead after a necessary roadtrip, and, just as we saw on the 1000 miles between where we went and our own spot on the map, we too are proudly flying the flag today. Flags everywhere. Coming back past Cheyenne saw the largest flag ever flying alongside I80 at Camping World, unfurling out in waves. Makes one puff up just a little….and the bums and haters who think they are better than everyone else can go pound sand if they don’t like it.

I don’t know if I mentioned it before, but after a prior discussion of flag flying, and at Larry’s suggestion. I ordered a Gadsden flag. Bought some Some PVC fitting and fabricated a “Yardarm” to run up and down my flag pole with both flags hanging at 45 degrees.
I attached a floodlight to the PVC and the yardarm swivels with the light tracking.
