These Chamber pots were very popular especially with officers at sea, no matter which Navy. So you could piss on the enemy. They were not only with Napoleon but also with Nelson and other “beloved” enemies from Europe.
It’s a lot like the Pelosi and Hillary urinals that one finds in restrooms located in bars these days. The more things change, the more they remain the same.

This Day in History
On this day, 29 June 1916, women gun workers at the Dion munitions factory in France during World War I downed tools in protest at an increase in workload along with a cut in the piece rate pay. Around 4,000 women were employed at the plant, working 10.5 and 11-hour shifts. All 110 women in the gun shop took part in the strike. Initially, their foreman was dismissive, telling them “The Dion factory never yields to a strike as a matter of principle… It has never yielded to men and it is even less likely to yield to women”. Despite the company firing some of the workers, they kept up their strike for 11 days until a government arbitration panel – desperate to avoid disruption to arms production – ruled partially in favor of the workers. Although workloads were increased, the pay cuts were stopped and bosses agreed to rehire the sacked women. The following year, there were to be many more strikes of women munitions workers in the country.

Just like all the wildfires in Australia a couple years ago. They actually caught muslim terrorists setting the fires, along with greenies setting fires, but it’s all about climate change.

I’m only afraid I’d get the same feeling I got that one time (first time) in the men’s room (with women attendants) at one of those very fine restaurants in Paris (I was just a kid, late teens) – too ashamed to pull down the zipper.

Haha, I had a similar experience my first time in Korea (just a connecting flight). I had already started my business at the urinal when a stout middle-aged woman walked in. My first thought was “Oh no, I’m in the womens’ bathroom! The Koreans are gonna arrest me!” Of course that was idiotic because I was using a URINAL at the time. Duh. So I just awkwardly scrunched as close to the wall as I could. The woman (apparently a janitor) clearly didn’t give a hoot, but *I* felt very awkward.

No no, I was thinking the same regarding satrapies.
The Chinese are high-IQ, immensely proud of their culture and ethnic identity, and openly consider outsiders (ie every other group) as somewhat less than human. However, the US is in thrall to another group that’s high-IQ, tremendously ethnocentric and openly considers outsiders to be subhumans who exist only to be used for their own ends.
Strikes, what a crock. Whilst my Father was off on a government sponsored excursion to the South Pacific during the late unpleasantness of the 1940’s, my Mother was keeping busy stuffing explosives into artillery shells in an ammunition plant. She got bronchitis from the fumes of the explosives and suffered lung problems the rest of her life. Nowadays people would get an attorney and sue the bejesus out of everyone concerned but, in those days, she just got moved over to the hand grenade line and put to work screwing fuse assemblies into hand grenades. There was a war on, you know, and righty-tighty got ‘er done.

Been a few years since taking this roadtrip, but just rolled thru 600 miles of eastbound I-80. Save for a hundred miles of fairly decent surface most were crap with continued construction in the same places from 10/15/20 years of travel, and every bridge transition was a buckboard. Maybe Petey B. should spend some time taking a road trip on the interstates in an older model 3/4 ton pick up dragging a bumper pull camper, see how things are out here for the Little People.

Israelis have F-16s with similar pods. Usually for additional fuel, cannot be jettisoned. Don’t appear to affect lift or drag much.
