There is something intoxicating about a secret. There’s something terrifying about a shadow war. You may not know much about Laos or the world of WHITE POWDER. You aren’t supposed to. Drugs, sex, and murder combined with personal and national agendas to create the hidden world of heroin where governments and drug empires collide.
WHITE POWDER is the story of US Army officer, Craig Burton, who became something else. Burton’s metamorphosis can’t be explained except within the context of others whose roles played a part in the outcome.
It’s a story of spies from various nations with both personal and national agendas who congregated in Laos and were willing to do ANYTHING to meet their objectives. The end inevitably justified the means.
Lastly, it’s also the story of Charlotte Sabon, who met Craig Burton, fell in love, and was willing to commit murder to keep him. In the end, she got both what she wanted and what she deserved.

Almost all of the characters in the story are dead. So, the novel part can soon be cut from the title and it will be an account of the CIA and the Secret War in Laos.

Am a bit late to this party, but wanted to add my microdot to the picture. I was diagnosed with Prostate cancer in early 2022. My PSA was 8.0. Part of my on going treatment is injections of a testosterone blocker, four injections, one every six months. Also had 44 radiation treatments last summer. That’s a big number, but each dose is tiny by design. After effects (for me at least) were quite mild.
First injection was April 2022 with a product called Eligard. The tech at the Urology office remarked “This is what we use now”. It was my oncology doc who explained later the un-spoken part, “…because Eligard is the only product we can get right now, and it’s made in Europe”. After my radiation, he ran a blood test and explained the numbers. My PSA was 3.0, which was higher than he wanted BECAUSE my testosterone levels were still too high BECAUSE Eligard is not as effective as he would like. Good news was that the preferred product, Lupron Depot (made in USA) was now available. My two injections since have been with Lupron. PSA is now 0.05.
