Wow! Gotta watch out for those “radical-traditionalist Catholics” (such) as those who attend Latin Mass and, according to the FBI, adhere to “anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology.” According to a January 2023 report from the FBI’s Richmond office entitled “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities.” Damned Papists!

“The document defined was based on what the Wall Street Journal editorial board called half-baked “open-source” reporting from liberal news outlets to justify further investigation.”

“When the FBI was busted targeting Catholics in a now-retracted leaked document which said Roman Catholics were ‘at risk of committing acts of extremist violence,’ the agency downplayed it as the work of a ‘rogue field office.’

Now, thanks to a less-redacted internal FBI document released Wednesday by the House Judiciary Committee, we learn that the effort was far more widespread than the agency acknowledged.

The subpoenaed document reveals that the FBI Richmond Field Office coordinated with MULTIPLE field offices across the country to produce a memo targeting traditional Catholics as domestic terrorists

Wray previously said the actions were limited to “a single field office.”

In February, a whistleblower leaked a heavily redacted January report from the FBI’s Richmond office: “Interest of Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists in Radical-Traditionalist Catholic Ideology Almost Certainly Presents New Mitigation Opportunities.”

The document defined “radical-traditionalist Catholics” as those who attend Latin Mass and, according to the FBI, adhere to “anti-Semitic, anti-immigrant, anti-LGBTQ, and white supremacist ideology,” based on what the WSJ editorial board called half-baked “open-source” reporting from liberal news outlets to justify further investigation.”

Thunder Over Michigan – MiG 23 missed Ed B!

(link) A privately owned MiG-23UB Flogger crashed Sunday at the conclusion of the Thunder Over Michigan airshow in Ypsilanti, Michigan.

Video shows the MiG-23UB in a shallow left turn before the two crew onboard eject. The stricken MiG then careened into the ground. WDIV reports both crewmembers ejected safely and have been recovered from the water, but there is no information yet on injuries, if any, on the ground.

There are reports, which we cannot confirm at this time, that an apartment building’s grounds may have been hit by the stricken MiG. Detroitnews.com reports that “The plane crashed near the lawn of The Waverly on the Lake Apartment complex in Belleville.”

Ed and I spoke on the phone. The aircraft hit the apartment building where he used to live.

  1. ” a ‘rogue field office.’”
Isn’t that a scary place to start?
Were there disciplinary actions to hold this ‘rogue field office’ SAIC accountable?
    I don’t recall seeing those.
Regarding the crash, I have friends who say no one was injured.
It’s possible they were not home being roadside like many watching the show above us.
I drove by and saw fire, rescue and police vehicles in front of the building I used to live in years ago, but saw no building damage from the road nor evidence of a building burning (no smoke plumes)..

  2. Valid point about the Romans.

MiG 23. Happy that EdB was not stricken by the plane and ecstatic the aircrew safely ejected. Sorry about the plane though.

I missed Latin Mass when the Church switched over to this populist religious ceremony idea. A lot of the deserved majesty got diluted away. Guess that means the FBI will be after me for that too.

Eventually if the country still stands it will become allowable to criticize the light bringer. Then people will realize he was the worst president in a generation.

  3. In the previous religion map, what religion corresponded to light purple, which wasn’t listed in the key?

  4. The MiG went down in a parking lot at the apartment complex. No injuries on the ground and the pilot and GIB landed safely in a lake.

As far as everything else going on and mentioned in LL’s post…..welcome to the Former United States of America, the newest Banana Republic on Earth.

    1. Yet how many see exactly what you state? Me, I think it’s the 80/20 rule, only 20% have opened their eyes to see through the daily perception management push narrative.

  5. Mr. Teleprompter (even when giving speeches to 12 year olds) was, and is, a Rabble-Rouser Manchurian…pure symbolism over substance (h/t Rush) blather covered in rancid syrup. Unfortunately his handlers started the “Fundamentally Change America” ball rolling when they installed this bum.

Catholic’s as the latest target- Once when in Denmark with MrsPaulM went to the Sunday service at the 500 year old Lutheran church. It was – no surprise – said in Danish. Does that count?

Only attended one Catholic Mass in Latin. Parents learned Latin in school and would often cite certain phrases as part of their lingo (ad infinitum). Shortly after that, the church went English. So maybe I only have a microscopic amount of potential to be visited by The Sunglass Boys at o’dark. So be it.

      1. Probably…but hey, I grew up ensconced in historic Colonial heritage so let them “bring on their bad selves”…as MrsPaulM says. (I married way up)

    1. As an altar boy, I knew the mass in LAtin, and looked up the translations so I knew what was being said.
People who like the mass in latin are those trying to keep the sense of mystery that gives.
Like the incense and other ritual.
The translation into English (or Danish) was a step to make God more approachable.
But at the same time, congregants who began to read their bibles were being ostracized.

  6. Better late then never… So, FBI thinks the Knights of Columbus are the Catholic Church’s radical militant arm? Oy vey…

  7. On “radical-traditionalist Catholics” – aren’t “radical” and “traditional” mutually contradictory? I don’t think we ever see those words used together.

On Obama and the law allowing propaganda – if it’s a law, then just nullify it. Takes an act of congress and Republicans con pelotas, but it’s an alternative to bitching about the law. Get rid of it.
