Only in Venezuela

I’m just grateful that it could never happen in America. When whackos question election integrity, they need to be sent to a FEMA re-education camp (there will be an old car salesman and a dog who staked out the choicest spot for themselves).

(Bee) WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following socialist dictator Nicolás Maduro’s use of military force to maintain political power after an election in which the opposition seemed to have won by more than 30 percentage points, Americans across the United States have expressed their extreme relief that socialists rigging elections is a phenomenon confined to Venezuela.

According to numerous US citizens, socialists cheating in elections and undercutting the will of the people is an “unimaginable abomination.” Over 98% of Americans polled say they are “incredibly grateful” that it could never happen in America.

“Oh, yeah, what’s going on down there is absolutely tragic,” said Steve McGannon, an American citizen. “I’m so glad we live in a country where socialists would never dare to steal elections. I mean, imagine if one of our political parties were to harvest ballots, insist on non-citizens voting, use underhanded methods to secure an election, and brand anyone questioning voting integrity an “extremist conspiracy theorist,” all in the name of safe and secure elections. I’m so glad that sort of thing only happens in countries like Venezuela — could never be the US, am I right?”

On the Kursk Front

Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin has been embarrassed but the Ukrainian penetration into Mother Russia’s sacred soil, and the Russian Army folding like a napkin and retreating, leaving burning armor behind them.

Bullet Points:

** Oliver Anthony files cease and desist against Tim Walz: “Stop using my song”

** You can’t get into Costco without providing proof of identity in addition to having a membership card. Can we put Costco in charge of the US Border? Would they hire Ho Harris as their membership czar? She comes with experience.

** The CEO of National Public Radio said, “Truth gets in the way of consensus and getting big things done.”  Cultural Marxism on display.

** More recruiting woes for the US Army. I guess there is simply a shortage of people who want to use the medical benefits offered to transition.

** In order to insult me, I must first value your opinion – nice try, though. (you know who you are)

** WASHINGTON, D.C. — In an uplifting, inspiring address to the American people, Vice-President Kamala Harris offered a valuable bit of advice to American citizens struggling to put food on the table: just try sleeping with your boss.

While Kamala refused to elaborate on her pearl of wisdom for the everyday American, she did go on record by saying that it “worked for me every time.”

“So if we examine the passage of time in making ends meet, we can see that the easiest solution is to just try sleeping around with your boss,” Kamala explained, cackling at every pause for breath. “HAHAHAHA! It works every time — and there’s great significance to the passage of every time. Sleeping with your boss is very simple: you just sleep with them in order to make ends meet. That way your ends will meet. There is great significance to making ends meet. HAHAHAHA!!”

** Am I the only one following the Miss Navajo Nation competition?

** The Persians know better than to screw with the Jews. They have a long history that predates Islam by millennia to draw upon, yet their Mohammedan leaders can’t seem to help themselves. And the beards always live to regret it. (h/t Claudio)

Unveilled Friday in Prescott, AZ

VM staff were at the In-and-Out Burger signing autographs, allowing people to take selfies with us, and eating lunch in Prescott on Friday around noon. Naturally, that’s a big deal in Prescott, but not as big of a deal as the new Doc plaque. I felt like Kamala at a rally, with everybody splitting for the unveiling of a plaque before I even cackled.

Identify the Aircraft

1

13 were built – Not the most effective design. The Peruvian Air Force used them in the Ecuadorian–Peruvian War of July 1941, supporting the Army of Peru ground forces.

2

Only two were built.

3

143 were built

4

143 of these were also built.

  1. One is a North American Aviation NA-50.

    ———-
The few Navajo I have met were all nice people.
Small world – a friend of ours in Albuquerque were friends with Tony Hillerman and his daughter who wrote a lot of fiction and non fiction about the Navajo. Our friend died a few months ago at 82. He was an atomic researcher and published author himself.

My wife and I spent a couple of weeks in Prescott in 2002. Nice place and people. Aside from usual tourist stuff I also went to Gunsite. Would probably have the TSA arrest me if they knew I was going to such a right wing training camp.

  2. Someone joked that, if the Ukraine troops started installing modern plumbing fixtures in the territory, then Putin would really start to worry about unrest among Russian civilians.

  3. Celera” could be translated from Latin as “you make haste” – sure looks it.
I wonder what it’s like to put it down in a mild crosswind: like a Luscombe?
I wandered around the web to see photos of its landing gear

  4. IDA-
    1. North American P-64
    2. North American XB-38
    3. North American B-45 Tornado
    4. Douglas A3-D Sky warrior

  5. Identify the Aircraft:
    1. North American P-64
    2. North American XB-28 Dragon
    3. North American B-45 Tornado
    4. North American XAJ-1 Savage

  6. i saw 4 a-10’s doing some kind of strafing run training in the valley behind my house, making big circles overhead thursday. i’ve never seen them do that over civilian territory. must be getting ready for the pineland wars, appalachian theatre. Lord help us…..welcome to caracas.

      1. well, we’re well armed, many are better trained vets. we own the breadbasket. i’m not the only one with a .50 cal. we can probably out last them. all insurgents need to win is to not lose. helps if the govt already looks stupid. i think we got this. vive la pinelandia!

  7. The Rock is a liberal. Whatever possessed them to expect him to live up to his responsibilities?

    1. There aren’t many celebs popular with the 18-year-old crowd (the recruiting demographic) who aren’t socialists.

      1. Like that asshat who plays Reacher on the Amazon show. A show which showed conservative values at one time. What a way to dunk on your viewing audience.

    2. Johnson, Schwarzenegger, et al., all from the same mold. When the lights, cameras, and adulation are present, they are right there front and center. As soon as all that is gone, so are they, to borrow a phrase, “Like a popcorn fart in the wind”.

  8. I once joked with a guest that Hamas was the plural of Haman, and that it did not turn out so well for him in the courts of Persia when he attacked the Jews.
My guest, a Hebrew scholar, assured me that all joking aside, I had gotten it correct.

    1. The problem with the Imams in Persia is that they need an enemy for the people to hate (Big and Little Satan) to take their minds off their misery. It’s a shame but that true of so many places. It’s like the FBI blaming white Catholic males for all of the threats to the US.

  9. Thanks for the Miss Navajo info. My paternal great-grandmother was Ute from Colorado. On the flip side my maternal great-great-grandmother was a Holliday from south central GA. There are still a few Holliday’s in the Baxley GA area.

  10. Egg-shaped aircraft have been around for a while. The C-46 fuselage was inspired by egg-shaped wind tunnel effects. Supposedly the plane above has incredible fuel mileage.

As to Ukraine, will it be another repeat of every invader of Russia, going too far? Or will this break Putin’s infallibility with the people? Lots of stories about how Russia has ‘deep reserves’ of personnel and materials. If this is true, how did the Ukes punch through so easily (besides hacking traffic cameras, of course)? Where were the vaunted Soviet, oops I mean Russian, soldiers and guns and fortifications?

As to Miss Navajo, is that the competition where women are judged by beauty, talent, the ability to slaughter animals?

  11. And, really, LL, what’s your take on what’s going on? Can the Ukes pull out a cease fire and draw-back or are they borked? Is Russia borked also, and soon to lose portions to China?

    1. USGOV is backing their play, saw the opportunity and fragged the mission. The Russians have borscht on their faces. The Ukes have a lot of room to retreat if it comes to that but I don’t think that it will.

  12. The CEO of NPR got one little thing wrong. When she said, “Truth gets in the way of consensus and getting big things done,” she should have said “… getting the wrong things done.” She’s partly right. They might be big, but big or small, if reality (= truth) says not to do them, they’re the wrong things to do.

  13. Army recruiting/retention solutions
    1. Scrap DEI
    2. Raise standards.
    3. End using troops for political cannon fodder around the world. Make it clear the Army’s mission is to defend the United States, period, full stop.
    4. Initiate a formal two step process. Initial stage, say six-eight weeks for physical fitness, rudimentary education, mental health evaluation, motivation. The current reception center already has some of these components. Successful entry progression leads to formal basic training then on to A.I.T.

Foreign involvement? Create a voluntary Wagner Group.

    1. I’ve long advocated for an American foreign legion. Train the wetbacks, turn them into Conservative soldiers and send them out to die – being adequately compensated. Outside the US, we send the Foreign Legion. Offer US Citizenship after ten years of honorable service.

      1. Further, exempt the legionnaires from prosecution for civil rights abuses committed outside of the US. I realize that the lib heads would explode, but it’s the only way to make it work.

      2. And the language of the Legion is… English. English only. Only only English. Spoken, written. Make the AFL English-speaking only.

Did I mention they should only speak English?

    2. >Army’s mission is to defend the United States, period, full stop.
Why do you hate the poor, defenseless multinational corporations? And the other thing? Why do you hate them, WSF?

  14. The theme picture looks like a pregnant guppy. Does it have both jet engines and a prop in it’s ass? Is it to disperse the jet exhaust? I use to date an Earp great, great grand daughter(Roberta Earp)( I am unsure or don’t remember which Earp brother). She had an ancient family bible that had all the birthdates and deaths and marriages scrawled in the blank pages and to back up that provenance, she had actual church baptism and marriage certificates and funeral bills and personal letters included from the family, Wyatt, Virgil, Morgan, Warren, Adelia D, Martha E.

    1. You’d have been a minor celebrity on the blogs if you two would have stuck together.

      1. One of those that got away… my fault. I liked her and she was fun to be around, and she was blind. One of the things she liked to do was go to an indoor movie theater and “listen” to the movie and envision what was acted on the screen and could read the crowd in the theater.

    2. It’s not a Douglas Mixmaster. Prop only. Jet performance with a very efficient fuel usage.

The visual looks are what has spelled doom to many flying eggs. People just can’t get their minds around a flying whale, even if it is more aerodynamic.

  15. “I’ve long advocated for an American foreign legion. Train the wetbacks, turn them into Conservative soldiers and send them out to die – being adequately compensated. ” Actually, that was done back in the 70s, they used to ‘train’ foreign troops at Bragg then at Fort Smith, AR. I can’t remember the name of the program, but it was run out of JFK Center.

And number 4 is a North American bird, NOT an All Three Dead- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_A-3_Skywarrior#/media/File:EA-3B_VQ-1_in_flight_South_China_Sea_1974.jpeg

    1. From memory, and I could well be wrong, but I think it was called The School of the Americas. The Democrats/Socialists got it canned, again from memory, for training troops from El Salvador, amongst others, who they, the Democrats/Socialists, claimed were members of right-wing Death Squads. They might well have been, but the main reason the Democrats/Socialists got it canned was that the troops, of various nations who were trained there, were anti-Communist and did not fit with the Democrats/Socialists agenda.

        1. It’s still ongoing, but is now called “The Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation.”

It’s where we train foreign warriors to fight (hopefully) in their own damned countries.

And it is decidedly not an American Legion. We train them and they go home. No potential US citizenship. And oftentimes we train them and they turn against us.
