The Vax (and endless boosters)

Two dozen Republican state attorneys general are threatening to take legal action against the Biden administration over its sweeping vaccine requirements on private sector businesses, vowing to “seek every available legal option” to hold the president accountable and “uphold the rule of law.”

“We, the Attorney General of 24 states, write in opposition to your attempt to mandate the vaccination of private citizens,” the officials wrote in a letter to Biden, referencing his September 9 announcement ordering the Department of Labor to issue an emergency temporary standard under the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act to mandate the private sector employers of businesses over 100 employees to either mandate the coronavirus shot or enforce weekly testing.

Now, we can wait and see how all that plays out. You should note that Congress exempted itself from the vaccine mandate. I wonder why that is?

Calling the plan “dangerous and counterproductive,” the officials said it will “simply drive further skepticism” rather than changing minds on the vaccine. They also warned that many Americans will simply quit their jobs, putting additional strain on the “already-too-tight” labor market.

“Worse still, many of those who decide to leave their jobs rather than follow your directive will be essential healthcare workers,” they warned. “This is no idle speculation.”

The officials told the president that his mandate is “not only a threat to individual liberty but a public health disaster that will displace vulnerable workers and exacerbate a nationwide hospital staffing crisis, with severe consequences for all Americans.”

Further, the attorneys general pointed to another key flaw in Biden’s mandate: It does not account for natural immunity. They referenced May CDC figures estimating that over 120 million Americans have already been infected with the virus.

“A one-size-fits-all policy is not reasoned decision-making,” they wrote. “It is power for power’s sake.”

 

Can the Real Constitution be Restored?

Probably not. Too many Americans depend on government money under programs the Constitution doesn’t authorize, and money talks with an eloquence Shakespeare could only envy. Ignorant people don’t understand The Federalist Papers, but they understand government checks with their names on them.

Here’s a religious map of Canada. Catholicism is the largest sect in the country and strongest in Quebec. Anglicanism is highest in Nunavut, while other Christian groups are common too. There are two Sikh and Jewish plurality ridings each. “No religion” is highest in the west.

The Federal Aviation Administration has placed a two-week flight restriction along a bridge at the southern border inundated with thousands of illegal immigrants, which prevents reporters from flying drones to document the crisis.

“We’ve learned that the FAA just implemented a two-week TFR (Temporary Flight Restrictions) over the international bridge in Del Rio, TX, meaning we can no longer fly our FOX drone over it to show images of the thousands of migrants. FAA says ‘special security reason,’” Fox News reporter Bill Melugin tweeted Thursday evening.

Melugin added that Fox News has been using drones for months and there has never been an issue

  1. Regarding the drone ban, the local Sheriff’s Office kindly provided their helicopters to available news crews… Huzzah for the local Sheriff’s Office.

    As to the Amish, though the demographics show a reduction in the White population, the Evangelicals, deplorable right wingers and Amish are breeding like rabbits. It’s not uncommon for an Amish family to have 2-4 sons and an equivalent number of daughters. And if you watch stupid TV shows, large families like the Duggars and others are, also, breeding like rabbits.

    Who isn’t breeding? The Left. The Left is not-breeding itself to death. The numbers will start shifting back up in the next few years. The Left is full of Abortion NOW! people, and ‘I’ll have children when I’m 40 or so’ people and all the bitter old crones and soyboys.

    Just look at who the right wingers have as politicians. Sure, lots of old folk, but our old folk tend to be vibrant, like Trump. And we have lots of younger and younger powerful politicians who are rising in the ranks, like DeSantis.

    The population shift via political affiliation will be interesting to watch, if we all survive long enough.

    As to the elections, I haven’t forgotten the level of cheat in 2016, 2018, 2022, 2021. Nor do I expect things to get any better in 2022 or 2024.

    Hopefully the vaccination-not vaccination will kill off enough leftwingers that the leftists can’t cheat enough, but, well, cheaters. And the Supremes sold us down the river on a 5-4 internal decision not to do anything until later. Sadly.

  3. The frikkin FAA just pulls a Rule outta their ass to try to hide the Biden trainwreck from the people. I wonder if any lefties see it as a government agency going rogue and operating in a way that pushes an agenda while they pretend to set up a rule to protect people from a dangerous situation. Biden being embarrassed isn’t something the FAA is supposed to set rules up to avoid.

  4. But alal, I keep hearing there’s no evidence of election fraud…bu the usual suspects now being parroted by other’s I used to consider objective. Maybe the vax jab is causing a subtle attitude shift.

    Be interesting to overlay Covid “cases” with Amish enclaves, probably none show up at each spot.

    So the Left is breeding itself out of existence. Good riddance, like a cancer.

    Recall Voter Fraud- you’ll hear “That’s not evidence.” Denial is their go-to play, then spackle over it in order to hide the grift.

  6. In regard to the vote spike at O dark thirty it would be interesting to see if a similar spike existed in earlier elections.

    Israel has one of the highest vaccine rates in the world, about 80%. They are now experiencing one of the highest COVID 19 infection rates. Leads me to believe that the vaccines are not all that effective against delta and subsequent variants and natural immunity is the way to go.

    • And that leaves only two possibilities-
      Either the vex does not work, or worse, it has an adverse effect-
      either by harming the bodies natural immunity or by enhancing covid infection. (VEI)
      If it inhibits immune system response across the board we are well and truly cross threaded. We will find out this “cold and flu” season.

        • As MrsPaulM explained to me, if you give a person who has immunity the “vaccine” can cause the immune system goes a bit haywire and it overreacts. You can get Covid, have an adverse reaction, or become an asymptomatic spreader, whereas prior (in general) not a whole lot if you are younger than 70. The Dem’s know this science and have weaponized it to weed out older folks…the proverbial “drain on the system”…or find out who’s compliant.

    As for the “election”… dear God, was there ever such a scam, apart from the Fed Reserve and COVID, obviously. Dam! Maybe they’re all pieces of the same lying, malfeasant, fraudulent, faked up, smug, mendacious, brazenly corrupt jigsaw puzzle we call “government.”

    • Julius Caesar added “senators” from Gaul and conquered territories to water down his opposition back home. Nothing is new under the Sun. Of course things didn’t work out all that well for him in the end.

    From a government that is completely illegal to a Supreme Court that is just as bad.
    Who needs to add more liberal justices to a court that has done very little to support the Constitution?
