Bullet Points:
** More than 50% of people who get tattoos regret them. Many people get tattoos with the names of people they love. I thought of specializing in opening a shop where we would specialize not in removing those names after the (nearly inevitable) break up, but in annotating them to say that (name of despised ex) add – is a #$%&!
** Having a discussion with your dire wolf.
** In DC, the RINOs and the Democrats proposed eliminating Trump’s power to tariff. Senators Maria Cantwell, a Democrat, and Chuck Grassley, a Republican, sponsored the bill. Pres. Trump will veto it. Everyone knows that. To override, Democrats will have to get 20 Republicans to go along. The old hens—Collins, Murkowski, and McConnell—will back the Democrats, but Elon Musk will primary those who will vote against Pres. Trump. I hear this Musk man has some money. Musk looked behind the curtain and didn’t like what he saw.
** Senator John Barrasso of Wyoming said, “Australia sold $29 billion worth of beef in the United States, and we haven’t been able to sell one hamburger in Australia because of barriers.” All we want is a level playing field.
** As reported by Chosun on March 18, 2025, South Korea’s HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (HD HHI) hosted a handover ceremony at its Ulsan headquarters for Jeongjo the Great, the lead vessel of Korea’s next-generation Aegis destroyers. During the event, HD HHI stated that it can build up to five Aegis destroyers per year for the U.S. Navy if bilateral cooperation is formalized. It is prepared to expand this capacity further, depending on demand. The company emphasized that these Aegis destroyers are equivalent in size and performance to the U.S. Navy’s Arleigh Burke-class. This announcement comes as the United States faces structural limitations in its domestic shipbuilding sector, where shipyards have declined from over 400 to fewer than 30. For an example: ROKS Sejong the Great (DDG 991) below:

You go to war with what you have, not with what you’d like to have. Would the officer’s wardroom serve kimchi?
** Are you tired of winning yet?
A Non-Kosher Idea for Passover
It’s not a sin to be hungry—DD mustard fried, whole raw and whole grilled onions, no spread, ketchup/mustard instead, chopped chilies, animal-style fries add chopped raw onions and chilies. In-N-Out, what a cheeseburger is all about.

Spring In Bamboo Grove
(by Jules)
No fanfare marks the tender thrust of green,
it simply rises, certain of the sky.
What need has growth for trumpets or acclaim
when earth itself leans forward to applaud?
Each stalk ascends with quiet discipline,
unfurling truth where silence once had pooled.
No haste, no pause, just presence in becoming,
a lesson spoken through the softened air.
Observe: no leaf debates its time to bud,
no root delays in fear of falling storms.
All things unfold by a lawless, deeper law,
beyond the grasp of measure, name, or need.
The grove expands, not seeking space, but being,
a breath drawn and released in still delight.
Where humans carve, compare, divide, regret,
the bamboo holds its moment, fully lived.
Strength within this green cathedral’s hush.
Let saplings teach what sages sometimes miss:
to grow is not to reach, but to allow;
to touch the light and never clutch its hand.

The Greening Planet
Global vegetation reached a new greening peak in 2020, continuing a long-term trend since 2000, according to dramatic new findings published by a team of scientists in the United States. The work helps confirm other recent scientific work that points to massive global plant growth directly related to recent increases in natural and human-caused carbon dioxide. Plants have evolved to grow in an atmosphere much richer in CO2 than current near-denuded levels, and the recent growth and its myriad benefits for humankind should not be surprising.
Needless to say, the news is absent from mainstream headlines since the ‘pollutant’ is temporarily being blamed for climate collapse in the interest of boosting the collectivist Net Zero fantasy.
The latest work on the ‘gas of life’ notes that greening is linked to continuous growth in boreal and temperate vegetation. The scientists also suggest that a boost in tropical vegetation has complemented the increase due to higher rainfall. Higher growth in northern regions would also have been helped by slightly warmer temperatures, which have marginally increased growing seasons.
The climate might collapse for ill-informed Guardian readers and BBC listeners, but nature continues to find ways to thrive. The scientists note that global vegetation exhibits “robust resilience and adaptation” to a changing environment. Using many remote sensing devices, 2020 is pinpointed as a “historic landmark” since it registered as the greenest year in modern satellite records from 2001 to 2020.
This is not the first time an acceleration in global greening has been observed over the last two decades. Last year, a group of Chinese scientists found that about 55% of global land mass had shown an “accelerated rate” of vegetation growth. The Chinese team, including Eco-Climatologist Professor Tiexi Chen, stated that “global greening is an indisputable fact.”
Climate change drought is a favourite fearmongering scare with activists, but it was found that any water scarcity trend only slowed global greening, “but was far from triggering browning.”

Nuclear Weapons Talks
A potential regional war is a more significant worry in the Gulf than tariffs. Still, that risk has been momentarily defused after Washington and Tehran agreed to hold nuclear talks in Oman. While no timeline was announced to reach a deal, the meetings this weekend could offer a path to easing tensions, according to Deputy Special Envoy to the Middle East Morgan Ortagus. But the window won’t stay open for long, she warned.
The diplomatic overture follows Israel’s claim that it has weakened Iran’s air defenses and a watchdog’s warning over Tehran’s accelerating uranium enrichment. Meanwhile, the US is ramping up its regional diplomatic and military presence — the latter with strikes against the Houthis in Yemen and a carrier battle group on its way to the Middle East.
Against this backdrop, some of the most senior leaders from the US and the Middle East—including Israel—joined talks in Abu Dhabi this week. They discussed how the region can “contribute more to mutual defence and stability,” former US diplomats Elliott Abrams and Thomas R. Nides wrote.

Beef – The only barrier is having the meat checked for disease which does cost you more. Australia thankfully does not have rabies, foot and mouth, BSE and a lot of other diseases.
When my parents were importing and breeding Charolais cattle from France (1960’s and early 70’s) it was a two year process.
Meat is easy if it is a cooked product as most diseases are killed by cooking.
Australian meat products have the advantage of not being a risk.
Unfortunately human nature has lead to some major campaigns and massive costs when untreated food came into the country.
The last case of bse here came from Canada.

Very good!
That Nazi wunderwaffen, of which I noted I wished I had a functioning one, was a fantastic gun. Fired a solid core round with sleeves on the outside. Gun went from 28mm down to 20mm, which really accelerated the snot out of said gun.
On behalf of your MOTT readers, thank you for the Passover wishes!
While a post-Passover cheeseburger would be good, I always have pizza.
as one of the MOTT, brought up by a religious Hungarian/Czech father (who worked on Shabbos), I had a cheeseburger with my cousins (Ukranian mother’s side) at age 11 during Pesach.
since I didn’t die, I took to pondering the actual meaning of Passover at this very early age and decided it had little to nothing to do with leavened/unleavened bread.
a fröhlich Pesach to one and all.
For the sake of the blog and explanation to those who may be unfamiliar, the Seder meal, a central ritual of Passover, is typically celebrated on the first two nights of Passover (or just the first night in Israel). In 2025, Passover begins on Saturday, April 12th, and ends on Saturday, April 19th. Therefore, the Seder meal will likely be celebrated on the evenings of April 12th and 13th (or April 12th in Israel).
.
Since I’m not Jewish, I’m not bound by the Passover tradition through oath, tradition, or by any other means. That notwithstanding, I think that observances of faith are important.
.
The Seder is a ritual meal commemorating the Israelites’ liberation from slavery in ancient Egypt. It involves gathering with family and friends to retell the story of the Exodus, share symbolic foods, and recite prayers and songs. The order of rituals and readings is outlined in the Haggadah, a special Passover book. (I don’t own the book)
As a believing but inactive member of the Tribe of Levi, I thank you for the astute explanation of the Passover Holiday for those goyim among us. Pleasant holidays for all!
😁
“Plants have evolved to grow in an atmosphere much richer in CO2″; It’s so liberating to hear the truth! H/T L.L. I recently read an El Paīs article depicting drought in the Amazon region. I wondered, are the dried up areas seasonal or a historical cycle? It looked like f l a t flood plains of the Nile. Leading readers to believe that 1,000’s could be displaced? USA; All the clearcut units in the NW that were replanted have resulted in more trees growing than ever!
( compared to old growth stands and burnt area regrowth prior to civilization)
–
Comparing Mt St. Helens reforestation and decades of an average of 2 million acres per year affected by forest fires; the private lands were ( are) harvested replanted asap vs some, not all, fed lands that were ( are) managed ” naturally” ( the brush takes over and the tree regrowth is delayed by a century or more).
–
WTP resources are left to rot for years due to enviro litigation before the Funny Service can actually get a timber sale on the market. The % of lost revenue is staggering. Don’t get me wrong. There is some good being done and I’m a 3rd tier contractor in the fire fighting aspects of the management process. There are some good admin and boots on the ground doing the best they can at what the are allowed to do.
–
Will DOGE be able to affect federal land management, especially in fossil fuels and mining, in a way that results in actually showing PROFIT$ ?
–
Fishing; the livelihood of those affected in the Amazon region mostly relates to fishing. Will DOGE be able to turn the red budgets of fish management into the black? Asking for my brother and former supervisor that ” might” take me out for therapeutic reasons on the Rogue River and Pacific for salmon and tuna.
Factory ships have greatly impacted fish management. Several nations operate fish factory ships, including China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, and the United States. China, in particular, has a large and expanding distant-water fishing fleet that includes many factory ships, according to the New York Times. Historically, Russia and Japan also relied heavily on factory ships for their large fishing fleets, though their use has recently declined.
.
You might think this is the perfect time for me to take a shot across the bow at China. You’re not wrong. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVABcl5qPA0
.
I think that it will take more than DOGE to fix the fishing management problem on the planet.
Thanks. It’s just the way the world is turning. The 80 head family dairy farms are now corporate 1-2k. Milking 3 times a day? Now cattle feed lots vs the 200 head my uncles purchased from the Dakotas to finish out and sent to the Omaha stockyard. We farrowed 12 sows at a time and raised 100 head to a 220 lb premium price. Then confinement barns replaced the primitive methods. Will keeping green using “common sense policy” be possible with modern mining methods? Example, McDermott Caldrone.
In-n-Out…it’s a good basic burger, but tasty…but that requires heading into town among The English and waiting in a long line…on a Saturday.

The Greening Planet- The horrors! 40 years of Chicken Little the sky is melting because we are earthly parasites. But hey, there is an upside (besides better farming production): maybe Greenland will revert to its namesake? If so, Trump may know something and is “insider trading”, thus poising Trump International to build the Baffin Bay Riviera once his term is over. It’ll be beautiful I tell ya. Yuge.

What will the climate deniers say then? (Well, we know: the opposite of what they’ve been blathering on for decades and scaring the kiddos in school then blaming their parents for…Summer.)
–
Have some grad school types here telling landowners that the current structure of their woodland is…wrong…and therefore needs cutting down. Not to thin as normal people would do for mitigation and general tidying up, but mowing the place down to “create a natural proper healthy forest” (since I do not possess a masters degree in forestry the logic was lost on me). Actually said out loud…to my skeptical looking face…that ponderosa were not here in the 1800’s and are invasive. Ask some basic followup questions and you get “we know the science” (something about the dustbowl…again, no masters degree for me so didn’t get the correlation). Hmm, where have I heard “trust the science” recently…that was all wrong and a lie? In the end there is no talking to those grifting grants off the Ag Dept to fund their “conservation no card monty”…which is oddly just like we see with the DOGE exposed USAID…only with dirt.
–
Conservation is a must of course…but this overwrought premise denies natures heavy influence that changes anything it wants at will…man has little to no say in the matter. But try telling that to the overeducated who believe they are the arbiters of all natural knowledge…like CO2 is an atmospheric poison. Oy vey. Me? Hoping the climate gets on with it and TI builds Baffin Riviera soon…before Gaia changes her mind again and Greenland once again reverts to ice and snow (I can hear Led Zepps ‘Immigrant Song’ playing).

Aircraft #1- Why does that look…just cool? Not in a Lizzo sort of way (pre-Ozempic), but in an ‘in-your-face don’t mess with me’ The Hulk sort of way. Impressive facade on that one…wouldn’t want to see it in my rearview.
The closest In-N-Out to me is in Flagstaff (a 70-minute drive each way), so I have to go there for some other reason to enjoy a hamburger. Because Flagstaff is a left-wing commie/hippy city, I tend to avoid it. Which is too bad. The next closest In-N-Out is Prescott (100 minute drive each way), which has a Costco and is not a hippy city. It’s a city where the Earps kept law and order in the early days of the Territory but today is home to retired expat police and fire personnel from Southern California.
Whataburger mizer you are Paul! Next time out with the grandkids I’m inclined to try those animal fries…lol.

It’s shocking, believe you, quoting those Somatic Nimby’s spouting their “science.” Were they there in the 1800’s? Didn’t they ever watch Bonanza?
What I have a hard time believing is any property owner would buy their ” theories.” Agreed, thining and mulching of ground fuels are the best for fire prevention and healthy stands of conifers. Controlled burns can actually enhance certain vegetation and fauna as well.
Exactly…it’s like a Timeshare hard sell and some people lap it up as if they are getting something for nothing.
As for your description, I call it “park like”, as in a high mountain “park”, not a town park. Trimming to 8-10’ and picking up fuels and brush…let’s air underneath and moisture. Healthy woodlot on a smaller acteage.
Where’s the beef? The US Australia beef battle has been on for a long time and is exacerbated by NAFTA and other similar rules. Over the decades, America allowed large slaughter houses to be moved out of our borders. Supposedly, this allowed animals to be moved from the US to neighboring countries for slaughter and returned as refrigerated beef ready for packing. Supposedly, this extensive process is less expensive and better for everyone even with shipping and handling by multiple shops. Australia rules say American beef is OK if it never left our borders and was butchered and packed inside our borders. So, the beef rub doesn’t start in the kitchen or on the grill, but in how a portion of our cows are handled cross borders and back.
Now, Australia has plenty of small rules that get enacted when Australian noses get bent out of shape. Years ago, importing Australian sheep to the US was blocked and the result was a block in Australia on US peanuts and peanut products.
What we really need is to allow kangaroo meat to be authorized for entry and consumption here in the US. Kangaroos are plentiful in Australia and taste really good. Kangaroo steaks would cost less than beef and still provide a red meat for the table. For those who haven’t tried, kangaroo doesn’t taste like chicken.
Does Kangaroo meat get used in dog food? Lots of potential customers here who would not read the label.
Does Kangaroo taste more like venison or rabbit? I’ve never eaten one. I’ve heard it has a ‘muddy’ flavor, but I don’t know who told me that.
It is very rich and like bison in texture. It is also slow to digest.
Bison is lean. I would speculate that kangaroo is the same – as with venison.
Tsquared is on target. I thought it tasted more like beef than bison; however it is really good. I never tasted a muddy flavor at all when dining on kangaroo in Sydney.
Never ate any kangaroo, but when I was in high school my track shoes were made from leather made from them.
I have a very nice kangaroo jacket that I bought in Chinhae, Republic of Korea when I was in the Navy.
I’ve seen some very elaborate, beautiful tattoos. They’re art work, and a testament to the skill of the tattoo artist. They’re the small minority of the mostly simple, sometimes haphazard, fading permanent testaments of what are usually examples of poor judgement. To each his own, but with a tattoo, you are marked, and easily identified, whether you want to be, or not.
When I was in the service, officers didn’t typically have tattoos. That has since changed, and everyone seems to be sleeved. X2 on the easy ID. Not a great idea. My sons-in-law all have ink.
My sons have tattoos. Middle son, sleeves. I don’t find tattoos attractive and am glad they weren’t the ‘thing’ in my youth for women.
Amusing, the green/black blobs on the old farts at the VFW breakfasts.
Larry. In the far off days of my youth, officers in the Australian Army did not, generally, have tattoos. Those that did were, mostly, those who had been commissioned from the ranks. There were, however, exceptions, such as those who, whilst well affected by intoxicating liquor, thought it was a good idea at the time. Not so much when they sobered up though. Today it appears, from what I have seen, that things have changed. Most definitely agree on the easy ID if you have tattoos. Scars can be explained away but not tattoos.
In Exodus 12 it says Passover is on the 14th of the month.
It is, today is the 14th of Nissan. Yes, I had to look it up, my Orthodox grandfather would be disappointed in me. :(
Does it pose a problem that Nissan and Honda have announced a merger (Obs today?). Never mind this old Gentile.
I always laugh at the Proprietor’s jokes. :)
Do androids dream of electric sheep? If anyone knows the answer to that one, you should, Surly.
That would assume Androids dream in the first place….but if they do then I see electric sheep as a new Tesla market offering.
Ps. Just don’t let the sheep near salt water, those lithium batts will react poorly and the lamb might get carbonized.
Do android muslims dream of inserting their plugs into electric sheeps’ sockets?
–
And now I’ll go tell that to the wife and get the beating I deserve for thinking of that.
It’s sort of what they do with sheep, goats, camels and knotholes.
iOS don’t dream. Even if placed in sleep mode. They’re always counting sheep.
That’s the 14th day of the month according to, of course, the Jewish calendar rather than the Julian calendar or that abortion that the French Revolutionists tried to create and fortunately died somewhat quicklyish.
Tattoos: Had a thought with yesterday’s juxtaposition meme, girls vs. those boys from Tren de Aragua (wonder if they know Wiki calls them a “transnational organization”, is that like Rue Paul with a shaved head club? Seems they have plenty of time to cover their skin in all manner of art, guess they think it makes them look “rough” (especially as a ‘trans’). The shaved heads add to the affect. Betting if I got some sleeves and a tear drop, and shaved my head, people would just laugh and the brothers would call me an idiot. Deport them all…even if they are “a dad from Maryland” as oddly defended by the MSM…until…that is…one of them shows up at their house…betting their fawning tune changes in a heartbeat.
As with the Russian Vor, it’s a way to announce your kills, rapes and degredations.
It’s a weird practice, but certainly a subcultural one….like a billboard of iniquities.
When I was undercover in the Hessians Motorcycle Gang for almost two years – many years ago, I always wore long sleeved shirts. The issue of tattoos never came up. One of the original nine members didn’t have any ink.
I knew a guy who got liquored up and got hinges tattooed on the insides of his elbows and knees. Once sober, he regretted them.
.
I never really got the urge to get inked but if I ever did, I’d want a big red heart impaled with a Fairbairn Sykes and a wreath that says either “MOM” or “Death Before Dishonor.” Maybe both, or would that be too much?
Or, Death before MOM? Had I gotten a tat when I was younger or even older, that was inevitable… I still don’t have a tattoo. I do have a cigar shaped birthmark on my right posterior, does that count?
If your girlfriend got an M tattoo on each cheek and bent over it would read MOM. If you flipped her over —— WOW!
Ugh, tattoos. Yeah, sure, they may look okay or good now, but add 20-30 years of life and, bleh.
–
I seriously don’t find tattoos on women very attractive at all. Loss of attractiveness increases with amount and location of tats.
–
Then again, I also don’t think multiple facial piercings, even multiple ear piercings are good.
–
And those gauges thingies that make big holes in one’s ears? Baaarf.
–
Also, there are few women who look good with a hog-ring dangling from their nostrils. Or ox-rings, depending on the size of the farm animal that’s wearing it.
–
Now, a long skirt or dress that shows a little ankle, with nice heels, that, that right there looks far better than any of the body modifications listed above.
–
Clean skin is so much better than abused skin. I’d rather look at honestly-earned scars, even burn scars or massive nasty scars from an accident, than look at piercings or tats or implants.
I personally think of tattoos as a form of personal mutilation when they look like mutilation. I realize that some people like to tag themselves or to relate to something with their ink. Up to them. I’m not big on piercings. Its a massive turn-off.
I have enough marks-of-honor from all the wounds I’ve received in my life so far. There’s the wrist-slash that looks like I tried to commit suicide that taught me to keep my dog’s nails trimmed. The stab-scar right next to my right femoral artery that taught me not to use an exacto knife over my unprotected leg. The Mark of Zorro and the Mark of Zorro’s Epileptic Drunken brother on either side of my face thanks to skin cancer removal. The matching stab wounds on either side of my left pinky finger that taught me not to try to separate frozen hamburger patties using a knife (which was a very nice through-wound that the ER happily sewed up and then noticed the other side… and resulted me in getting one of those wire scans of one’s blood vessels from the groin, through the heart and into my left little finger. No actual damage to vessels or tendons or anything else except my pride on that one.) The moray eel bitemark on the base of my left index finger because some stupid bint I thought I liked was tormenting the class moray eel and it jumped out and my hand got between it and her and then she made fun of me afterwards (bitch!)
–
Lots of things like that… No need to purposefully add insult to my skin’s injuries.
As to religious diets, since I’m Catholic (and the current pope and a good portion of the College of Cardinals aren’t) I am supposed to not eat meat on Fridays during Lent. Which I always seem to forget until afterwards. Oh, well, catch it next year.
–
Hamburgers? I find that quarter pound 93% lean patties sprinkled lightly with salt and pepper, cooked in a pan wiped with some bacon grease, sent to the oven to stay warm, with a slice of American cheese, on toasted sandwich bread slices smeared with mayo and ketchup, patty on top of a piece of lettuce (keeps the bread from getting soggy) and warmed pickle slices (heated in the microwave in a container with a paper towel laid down under the slices) and a slice or two of tomato, that right there beats the snot out of any restaurant or fast food joint burger. Served with homemade fries (I like the skin sides and wife likes the deskinned pieces (made with potatoes sent through one of those fry press thingies.)
–
Secret to making homemade fries is heat them in a bowl of water in the microwave for 6 minutes, then drain. Drop them individually or in small clumps in oil at or hotter than 350 degrees. Cook for 3-4 minutes, pull them out and let them rest in a strainer over a pan, drop back in, cook for 3-4 more minutes, pull them out and let them rest for a minute or two, toss them back in and cook till starting to brown, strain over a pan, spread on paper towels and then salt.
–
And now I’m hungry for burgers and fries.
Eat hardy, Lord High Executioner Beans.
Wow HEB, already had dinner a few hours back but that made me hungry, and fries cooked like that hafta be exceptional.
All of us want to come over to your place for hamburgers and fries, can you accommodate all of us? I will bring the adult, or not so adult beverages.
Yes, the fries are very good. But I need to source a supply of beef tallow to really take them over the edge.
–
As to everyone showing up, heh, I live in a 1 bedroom apartment that’s got what’s left of a 3 bedroom house in it, so… no room in the in, out, or elsewhere. Though thank you all for the compliment.
–
If you think the hamburgers and fries sound good, I’ll toss the Thanksgiving meal menu up one day to really salivate over. Then there’s my version of Mrs. D’Albora’s lasagna, which is decidedly not what most people or places serves. She was my foster godmother when we were overseas, and her lasagna had to have at least 2-3 times the amount of cheeses that normal lasagnas feature. I’ll make a pan for my birfday and between my wife and me we’ll get two meals off of it before 4 meals’ worth goes into the freezer.
–
My wife is an amazing cook and she taught me how to do it all, so y’all can blame the hypersalivation on her.
–
Then there’s my favorite pot roast that starts out with about 7lbs of a trimmed roast, a large bottle of reisling wine, an onion, some potatoes and baby carrots and salt and pepper and about 20 hours in a crockpot. Why so much meat? Well, part of the meat and the remaining vegetables get cut up into small pieces, a bag of mixed vegetables is added, 4 cans of petite diced tomatoes and then another 20 hours in a crock pot, split between two days because the first day’s cooking doesn’t make the flavors mingle enough. Served with Southern Cornbread (no sugar at all!!!!) slathered in butter. The remaining meat goes into roast beast sandwiches (lettuce, mayo, MEAT!) and then burritoes (flour tortilla, 2 slabs of cheddar cheese, mound of meat, favorite sauce (Ortega’s Mild) and heat in microwave for 2 minutes.
–
Are you all hungry now? Muhahahahaha
Lasagna recipe, please. And, thank you. And yes, we are all hungry now.
Ingredients
2 x 16 ounces lasagna noodles, uncooked – regular wheat or Tinkyada Gluten Free lasagna noodles (yes, brand is important.)
Cheese Mixture
2 x 32-ounce container ricotta cheese
1 containers Parmesan cheese
4 eggs, beaten
6 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Meat Sauce
2 pounds meat
3 x 28-32 ounce jars pasta sauce
Topping Layer
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 container Parmesan cheese
1 jar pasta sauce
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Brown meat and crumble it, drain.
Mix 3 jars sauce with cooked meat.
Cook 1 pack pasta for 10 minutes and cool in a 9×13 cake pan with cold water.
While pasta is cooking, combine ricotta cheese, 1 container Parmesan cheese, eggs, and 4 cups mozzarella cheese in a medium bowl; mix well.
Spread 3 cups of meat sauce in the bottom of the big baking dish.
Arrange one layer of noodles (the broken or crumbly ones) lengthwise over sauce. 7-8 sheets.
Spoon half the remaining pasta sauce on top of noodles.
Spread half the ricotta cheese mixture over the sauce.
Repeat
Place final layer of noodles, cover with plain sauce (from new jar) and cover with layer of mozzarella cheese, sprinkle with parmesan.
Place pan on top of layer of foil and fold sides up to be higher than the pan side (to catch spillover) and put a cooking sheet under the whole thing.
Put in the preheated oven.
Bake, uncovered until top cheese is nice and browned, about 60 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Cool leftovers in the pan in the fridge, once solidified cut into serving or 2-serving size, wrap up with plastic wrap, put in a ziploc and remove air, place in freezer. Good for a year.
Would you and your lovely wife like to adopt me? I am quiet and unassuming and don’t take up much space. I even have my own house on wheels if adopting me puts you in a bind?
Nah, I have enough on my hands. But I can supply recipes.
Like this roast. That takes 2 days to make.
Take 6-8 lbs of beef roast, trim excess fat off.
Take 2 red onions and chop fine.
Take 1-2 clumps of rinsed parsley and chop really fine.
In a deep bowl, combine onions, parsley, 2 cups olive oil and a bottle of Reisling.
Place meat in deep bowl, add more oil and wine until the meat is totally covered with the mixture.
Cover whole bowl in plastic wrap. Place in refrigerator, turn every 4-8 hours.
The next day, place roast in a roasting pan, scrape off all the veggies and coagulated oils. Cook normal time for roast as you like.
Strain wine/oil/veggie mix, baste roast with the liquid. Keep the veggies.
When roast comes out, transfer to another pan.
Scrape all the meat sauces and stuff into a sauce pan, add the remaining liquids and veggies, bring to boil and let thicken (no corn starch or other thickeners.)
Serve with potatoes or whatever else you want, with the gravy.
Trust me, this one is really rich and will knock your socks off. Leftovers, with the leftover gravy, are excellent on bread, mashed taters or pan-fried taters or rice or even pasta.
