Douglas Peter Kelly, 49, of Hawthorne, found himself in a situation where he thought someone had sold him the wrong illegal narcotic.
On Tuesday, Kelly contacted the sheriff’s office and said he purchased methamphetamine about a week earlier and had a “bad reaction” after smoking the narcotic. The suspect said he believed that because of the “violent reaction” he had after smoking the drug, he was sold the wrong narcotic. Kelly told detectives in the Drug unit he wanted the substance tested because he wanted to “press charges” on the person who sold him the wrong illegal narcotic.
To ensure the quality of the drug the suspect purchased, detectives told Kelly that if he came to the sheriff’s office, they could test the narcotic he bought. Kelly drove to the sheriff’s office and handed detectives a clear, crystal-like substance wrapped in aluminum foil.
The substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine, the drug Kelly intended to purchase.
Kelly was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine. He was walked to the Putnam County Jail and held on a $5,000 bond.
The message from the Punam County Sheriff: “Remember, our detectives are always ready to assist anyone who believes they were misled in their illegal drug purchase.”

A Paltry $4.7 Trillion

Earlier this year, Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) uncovered $4.7 trillion in untraceable Treasury Department payments.
Before the discovery, Treasury Account Symbol (TAS) identification codes were optional for $4.7 trillion in Treasury Department payments, so they were often left blank and were untraceable. The field is now required to increase “insight into where the money is going,” the Treasury Department and DOGE announced in February.
“Of the 1.5 billion payments we send out every year, they must have a TAS, a Treasury Account Symbol. We discovered that more than one-third of those payments did not have a TAS number,” Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said before the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Financial Services and General Government earlier this month.
Fox News Digital asked Republican senators on Capitol Hill to respond to the Treasury Department’s approximately 500,000 untraceable payments each year.
“I’m not surprised at all, unfortunately,” Sen. Roger Marshall, R-Kansas, said before adding, “They were leaving complete fields undone when filling out their financials, so this is a common theme. I’m not surprised.”
Sen. Eric Schmitt, R-Missouri, called for an investigation into where those payments went.
“There’s so much waste. There’s so much fraud and abuse in our government,” Schmitt told Fox News Digital. “I’m glad there was a laser-like focus on it. Rant Warning: Do not read if you get upset with rants. Rant Warning
A bit ago, LL asked what might happen in America. The past two weeks have shown us that there is not going to be any discernable change in any of the three branches specified in the Constitution unless severe dismissals and prosecution for violating oaths and law is accomplished.
-Inside the executive branch, there are still those who are actively resisting the lawful orders of the president without any legal or ethical backing. Their actions are not those of appropriate loyal opposition in military discussions as occurred decades ago, but only that of communist ideology.
–It takes time to build a solid case against criminals, yet DOJ is not moving forward without tagging those whom they already have oodles of documents which would put folks away for some time. Consider Vindman who violated his oath, US code and other laws by immediately calling his counterpart in the Ukraine. There were a huge number who perjured themselves on national TV while testifying under oath to Congress during the first impeachment effort. Start with the obvious crime of perjury and then move forward after the larger case is solidified.
-Inside Congress, the BBB was passed by the House. The Senate already has those opposed to the bill because of excess spending without the promised budget cuts. Those opposed will give their reasons, but instead of modifying the House BBB with cuts in the appropriate areas, sending it back with instructions to agree or disagree as the Senate is supposed to do, the senators only gripe.
–DOGE identified a huge number of areas that funding is being abused and yet our elected officials will not move forward to pass legislation to eliminate the benefits to illegals, grifters and others milking the American public.
–There are plenty of hearings and more than enough evidence to move forward with bills to stop the nonsense but our elected officials refuse to do so. Think about immunizations for example, or allowing individuals to purchase raw milk from local dairymen, or to stop the allocated funding to foreign countries using our bucks to attack America.
–Congress has full authority to pass legislation preventing lower courts from making sweeping decisions that impact the entire country. But nothing happens. The current House reminds me of The Contract With America.
-The courts are a mess. The Supreme Court also has authority to restrict lower court rulings but refuses to do so. Instead of returning a case to the lower courts instructing them to specify the problem more accurately, the Supreme Court should have ruled that the lower courts exceeded their authority with a ruling stopping the executive from constitutionally specified authority.
–Recent decisions giving illegals more rights than American citizens are just a small portion of the activity the courts are participating in by using extremely thin links to previous cases in order to circumvent our constitution and the legislative intent of our laws.
My opinion is that Christians are lazy and frequently cowardly. Instead of praying about every single thing that bothers their souls, while not believing the Great Commission applies to inside America also or speaking out in their workplaces and in our government against obvious unbiblical activity, they tend to hide. Almost 6 decades ago, we lived in Northern Virginia and attended an extremely large church at which many of the D.C. cheeses and big wheel bureaucrats attended. I was counseled by these high ranking officials to avoid politics as that arena was an extremely dirty business for Christians to be in. Now, many years later the results of Christians not standing firm in government, business and in our homes is obvious to all. So, please pray fervently for our country and stand firm in your locality.
Thanks to all who pointed me toward documents concerning the contractual violation of an oath of office. That information was used in my small claims action against a sitting city council member who used her position to file a false police report against a block party celebrating Roe v Wade’s overturning while also violating numerous portions of Idaho law. The extreme rub was that she also helped organize and participate in an in your face protest at the block party attempting to disrupt it. The case was never argued as the defense maintained that my tort letter omitted information and the judge agreed. That was my fault as I failed to research current tort letters and what Idaho courts desired to see in them and could not get the judge to agree that listing the violated laws was required by Idaho statute.

Given the magnitude of problems facing all of us, as may here have outlined, my rant is small.
As someone who lives South of Interstate 80, North of Interstate 70, and alongside Interstate 25, interaction with large trucks is a fact of life. PDJT has rescinded the Biden’s bunch allowing drivers not fluent in English to obtain Commercial Driver Licenses. These drivers are a danger to all of us sharing the road. In addition to not being able to read and understand road signs, they care not about our values and ways.

The trucking industry is vital. Unfortunately it attracts the criminal element. States regard it as a cash tax cow. Hordes of bureaucrats, that couldn’t identify a 5th wheel, propose and implement stacks of regulations.

My Mom had a heavy cast aluminum pressure cooker with which, every so often, she made pea soup.
Normally the weighted cap would jump and bobble on the nozzle to let off just enough steam/pressure. However, if the (gas) flame was a bit too high or the pot too full, the thick soup would boil up into and clog the internal opening until the internal pressure would blow the weighted stainles steel cap off the nozzle (plus some of the contents which always made a mess all over the kitchen).
One time, however, the nozzle must have become clogged with dried soup: the cap blew off, explosively embedding itself over a half inch into the painted concrete ceiling, not to mention the resultant mess; with the loss of thick green “blood” all over the place; needless to say my Mom was less than thrilled.
My point:
the adversarials (I don’t necessarily want to point a finger at the Democrats/Liberals/Greenies, etal) are going out of their way to turn up the heat daring those of us, who are concerned about another revolution possibly destroying our Country, to turn it down. An excellent example is the penultimate election putting a brain-dead puppet in place, a second is the regulations promulgated curing COVID.
There are many Conservatives (soi-disant etal) who may disagree with me, but personally I believe, considering certain recent SCOTUS decisions, we’ve just passed the tipping point.
The real question is: how much longer before the weight blows off the nozzle.
I really expected it under the Biden regime but I think the edge’s off with Trump in power.
Boron, I don’t think the pressure cooker lid will blow off for some time. The two exceptions being some ignorant group falling for a Marxist draw play by shooting first and the second being a large false flag operation inside the US.

the credit card thing is taken out of context. individual govt workers are issued a credit card to use for travel and incidentals. they are responsible for the bill, period. they must fill out and get approved thru channels an expense report, but any expense not approved is the employees responsibility to pay. employees are encouraged/forced to use the card for meals, hotels etc while on duty travel. they threatened not to pay me if i didn’t use it. THEY GET A BIG FAT KICKBACK from the bank. more usage, more kickback. yes, some idiots abuse it, but their supervisor/auditor should catch it…….the other cards- every army unit, national guard post, maybe all the services, have a card to use for unit expenses including all classes of supply and another one or more for local purchase of fuel, meals etc. as far as i know every agency and office has another card for those purchases not covered thru regular channels. that’s how you get twice as many cards as employees…..most of the abuse i saw was top level supervisors. one bought a cabin cruiser, another bought implants for his girl on the side. once in a while a rank n file might use it in a pinch, figured he was responsible for the bill anyway but got caught before he could pay it off. yes there is waste and fraud like anything else involving money, but not nearly to the level the press is making out. that, makes me wonder what else they’re in the sauce about.

Reminds me of travel at MIT-LL (Lincoln Laboratory, not Larry Lambert, alas). If you were traveling on LL business you were not allowed to book flights by yourself. You had to use LL’s travel agents. We thought the travel agents were LL employees, but it turned out it was some totally private travel agency that somehow managed to capture all of LL’s business. (Payola, cash or oral sex, probably both, were likely involved, but that’s just a guess.) Anyway the “LL travel agents” were making money off of COMMISSIONS so they would book expensive tickets. We found out about this because my grad supervisor and I were both going to San Francisco for a conference, her on her grant money, me privately. We both booked coach, same flight. My ticket was $295. Hers was $900. She hit the roof. Raised holy hell. But exceptions Could Not Be Made. I understand that corruption is a way of life for many people [1], but I am offended by STUPID and SHORTSIGHTED corruption. The smart parasite does not kill its host [2].

Now I’ve never cared for Emmanuel Macron, but I’m starting to feel sorry for the guy. Married to his groomer, and (still, most likely) suffering physical abuse. Thirty-four years (EM was 14 when they started) with that … person. And does anyone know what was going on with that woman (stewardess? or what?) who was there with the tall man in uniform (pilot?). It looked like her left shoulder was exposed and had streaks of red on it. Either it’s a very weird uniform design, or she was badly scratched up. We are literally ruled by pederasts and perverts.
