Y’all are more interesting than I am. Have at it as you are moved to discuss what’s on your mind. As always, there are a few bullet points just for shits and giggles.
Bullet Points:
**Kamalasplaining and again and again…and again…borders…
** Rule of thumb: if they don’t tell you who the shooter is immediately, he’s not a white man.
** The fastest way to check for IEDs is to toss your loose change down the road and let the locals do it for you. Or keep a herd of goats and send them down the road with a goatherd. One of the problems with either scenario is that the IEDs encountered today aren’t your daddy’s landmines. Most count how often they’re triggered before they “arm themselves.” So, five goats, and then boom, and the EFP cuts through everything. (primer on shaped charges)
** For every rat you see, there are fifty that you don’t.
** (zerohedge) Fed up with a city ravaged by crime and drug addiction and shedding theft-plagued businesses weekly, voters in ultra-liberal San Francisco are poised to approve a ballot measure that would require illegal-drug screening for recipients of city benefits, and another that would give police more power and less oversight.
That’s the finding of a San Francisco Chamber of Commerce poll, in which 61% of likely voters said they back both measures on the March 5 ballot.
It’s a population that’s increasingly aware of its trajectory: 71% say the city is on the wrong track.
“The pendulum is swinging,” 41-year-old resident Malcolm Weitz tells the Wall Street Journal. “It’s coming hard-core back to the center.”
He says he’ll vote yes on both propositions, completing a major philosophical u-turn. Weitz voted for progressive district attorney Chesa Boudin in 2019, only to vote to kick him out in the successful 2022 recall drive.”
** CDRSAL – Too many people have forgotten what war is. When one party attacks the other, and the attacked party fights back – the war continues until one party is defeated or neither party can carry on – and there is peace. Wars are not ended until then.
** Jules reports on English potholes and more.
In China

I’m surprised to see rebar. I’ve seen a lot of bamboo used instead of rebar in construction in the worker’s paradise.
Going Up?

It happens, I guess—an all-too-common night scene in Ypsilanti, Washtenaw County, Michigan. Of course, we know that what goes up must come back down.

(1) Curtiss SBC Helldiiver.
(2) Su-24?
(3) Some version of the Hind.
(4) Hard to say from that angle. Maybe the Gripen?
– Kle.
4 – ok, a hint, it’s not a Tigershark…
I still am unsure. I thought it was an F-5 / T-38 at first, but the intakes (still) seem too big and too square.
Perhaps it is just my perception that is wrong.
– Kle.
It’s an F-5N, which is a type of hybrid between an F-21 and an F-5
Elsa Kurt is spot on.
She has them nailed.
So does he, for Trump…about spit out my coffee and sweet roll:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=AHdGg3FOjv8&si=4AEAFqBfDzGRZnCZ
He has President Trump cold!
“Don’t cry Abu…I wouldn’t have cried…crybaby Bhagdaddi”
I’m laughing so hard tears are ripping.
Did anyone watch the speech? TY for saving me the trouble. Heard there was an ‘insurrection’ that interrupted official business before he even got there. Anyone get arrested for that?
We commented almost simultaneously.
Tuned in for ten minutes a good chunk of the way through while tidying up before hitting the hay…sounded like a derisive Obama speech but without the syrupy smooth talker delivery (because it was). For those who have witnessed a loved one fall into Dementia, The Husk (h/t Chris Stigall) was in misfiring angry man mode…of what I saw anyway. I swear he was an apparition or hologram because it was so surreal and anti-American, oddly beginning with Ukraine…for a USA SOTU. Bizarre doesn’t begin to describe what I heard. Tucker covered it best in his review. The selected Republican gal (Sen. Britt), youngest by design, did the breathy over acting response. Not wrong in content, but…sorry, too wimpy. Contrast her with Sara Sanders who kicked butt in her prior response. Not Ms. Britt’s fault, she’s smart, but a poor choice…but R’s step on their appendage every time when given the opportunity. Noticeably missing were Justices Alito and Thomas, they knew The Husk would attack them…and he did, ala Obama.
In the end, none of the charade mattered…the sun will still rise and those people on the Potomac will still be Reprobates, Bums, Scumbags, Narcissists, and Criminals….except for their interfering on our lives, wholly irrelevant. And I think they know that to some degree.
I wonder if we should have doping analysis for political contestants.
Whatever Joe was on last night that fueled the anger of his dementia, would have gotten him banned from any Olympic event.
I had to turn it off after a half hour.
If his intent was to get people fired up, I got fired up.
Jan 6th? Really?
He’s trying to trigger more of the same.
Fencing around the capitol again. Probably served to keep the Palestinian protesters at bay.
I say we leave the fence and concertina wire up permanently…keep those bast—— in, gates locked from the outside….oh, and cut off all non-essential comm’s. Figure inside of two days they’ll be whining and whimpering like the immature brats they show themselves to be.
One take away is I’m now really peeved I get fewer chips in my bag of Doritos (apparently this is high on the Oval Office Occupier’s list of importance, cause he repeats it).
A total snark of course, but, ironically a huge indicator for The SOTU. Nothing else needs to be said to showcase abject failure at the hands of bunch of maroons, some who know they are…but most do not. We are being ruled (vs. “represented” as prescribed) by The Deluded and Demented.
I’ve always wanted to be ruled by a creepy demented pedophile who molests his daughter and a whore.
The ancient Romans had a few of them. It never worked out.
I swear if you handed him…or half of them for that matter…a purple crayon they’d eat it expecting it to taste like grapes.
You mean, they don’t?

I love the safety harness of the year. That right there is Employee of the Year, though probably not for very long. Darwin Awards springs to mind – https://darwinawards.com
My next-door neighbour once reckoned he saw an alien. Not down the council hankering for a council house, but an actual alien in a spaceship. He came running out of his house into the back garden shouting that he’d just witnessed a UFO sighting.
“Ya shoulda seen it, Julesy, hovering all silent and low. I could see something in it. Then it whisked off proper fast and whoosh…gone. Totally silent.”
“Stupid sod’s had one too many Shippo’s ales!” his wife yelled out from the kitchen.
However, he seemed very convinced. Given he was a regular guy running his own carpet fitting company and worked hard, played nice, and was on the whole an upstanding citizen of The Great British Isles, I started to wonder if he really did witness something. You never can tell with the British public. They’re not normally prone to exaggeration or nonsense (I’m an exception) ) but then they can get a few too many hops inside that give them an inkling to be fanciful. I do not believe we are alone in this Universe but as to what else exists and whether it would want to visit us, is something else. Like anything outside of the usual, I’d need to witness it for myself in order to believe. However, if I did witness a close encounter and some dodgy, one-eyed, bulbous headed, tentacle weaving goblin appeared I’d be calling for the wolves. I’m not keen on getting probed but then how do I know? Maybe probing from other species is the next level thrill.
Gotta tell ya, I just love The Motherland’s English…your descriptors and word use are brilliant. After last nights SOTU bizarro world debacle, needed that to start my day here in The Colonies with a chuckle and smile. Proper cowboy hat tip extended.
Well, I must say I’m rather partial to a cowboy hat tipping. Thank you kindly.
They’re up there today but because it’s snowing, I can’t see them…but the rays, you understand, the rays are coming down. Where is that roll of aluminum foil? I need to make a hat…
You live in a metal-roofed home. You’re safe….
Oh, I don’t know. Aliens… NYFC homeless freaks and gangs of thugs… My money is on the homeless freaks and gangs of thugs… Probably will be the first recorded UFOjacking posted on social media. They’ll find the shell of the UFO stripped and on cinderblocks about 10 minutes after the jacking occurred. Any ufo-weapons will be found in local gang’s weapons lending libraries.
The police will find the idjits who did it jacked up on some weird alcohol that makes absinthe mixed with Southern Comfort and cheap knock-off soda with a splash of sardine juice sound absolutely palatable. The powers-that-be will easily identify the suspects due to the glow-in-the-dark stains on their 5 layers of underwear showing above their crotch-dragging-the-ground pants. And the peculiar flashing light pox that is visible on their exposed skin.
I did not hear the word “republic” used during the campaign speech last night, I did hear “democracy” used.
We have a democratic republic, which is different from democracy… give it a couple of years and we’ll see if we still have a republic.
I don’t see the Brandon Regime wanting a rule by law (Republic). They prefer a democracy where they count the votes.
Still? Pretty sure we don’t have a republic now. We have something vaguely in the form of a republic, but that’s just how it’s dressed, not what it is. A skirt and makeup doesn’t make Bud Light Boy a woman. A Constitution that’s routinely ignored, and the attendant voting/political apparatus that has clearly been subverted (theater props at this point) doesn’t make FUSA a republic.
Thinking a 6-Up gallows wheeled up to the public side of the Capitol Fencing would give a nice visual to the scumbags who ignore their charter and our Constitution. Come to think of it…have to place an order to the lumber mill, could add a few more 8×8 timbers and boards to stock up.
(Just the fact I feel the need to say such things in that manner, wholly anathema to my personality, makes your point that we no longer have a Constitutional Republic at the hands of these “representatives”.)
Since this is Open Forum, here’s a random thing.

I will be the first to admit this is actually impressive as hell. I don’t think I can pick up (one handed) A 100-lb dumbbell in my current state, much less run with two of them.
BUT, let’s also give applause to the cameraman who’s running backwards so fast yet smoothly to make these videos. Heh.
Somebody has a steady cam in a pickup truck—not running backward. However, yes, it’s impressive.
> steady cam in a pickup truck
Shhhh!! [looks around furtively] It’s funner to think some guy is moonwalking backwards at high speed.
Safety-My life in oil/chemical patch included “safety” being rightfully uber stressed 24/7/365. Gained new respect for the industry standard(s) after watching public construction techniques in the Pac Rim. The native construction workers cavorted around bamboo scaffolding like gibbons or spider monkeys while wearing very little, if any safety equipment.
Did chuckle when I’d see a construction worker wearing a hard hat with a damo (Oriental wide brimmed straw hat) pushed down on top of it.

Douglas Macgregor’s proper SOTU, in ten minutes:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=2cRmv8gQEOo&si=azREmzY425-ltjKQ
Did he state his pronouns first? I must have missed that part… (haha)
Unless it was a joke among peers (you being one), pretty sure if someone asked him that he’d smack ’em into next week…has that look…unlike Double-Masker Face Shield Scaredy Pants Austin.
Austin is famous for being a negro.
MacGregor is a warrior.
Bless all of you who had the stomach to watch SloJoe. I haven’t owned a TV for several years so wasn’t tempted to listening to the B.S.
The television was on in our lobby when I took the dog out to do his business. In a 96 unit apartment building there were zero watchers.
To bad the RINOs didn’t have Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-Wyo) give the rebuttal. Guess she isn’t photogenic enough. (Also, too smart)
Isn’t it too cold for Banner to walk outside, exposed to the elements? I would have thought he might have preferred that you make indoor (climate-controlled) arrangements for him. After all, he’s not The Hulk.
Banner loves being outdoors. He has various sweaters and coats, depending on the temperature, to keep him comfortable (and shield me from the wrath of neighbors concerned about his welfare).
What he dislikes is crusted snow as the ice gets between his toes. After three different dog boots bought for him, and rejected by him, he now suffers. In turn, I suffer the slings and arrows of our neighbors concerned about his welfare.
His favorite outside interlude is on our balcony soaking up the sun. Having the door closed makes him anxious so, depending on the season, I either heat or cool the atmosphere. When the sun isn’t shining, he stands by the door giving me reproachful looks.
Perhaps the biggest question, is he spoiled or well cared for?
Should have had Trump reply.
It’s wymyn’s history month. I tried to mansplain wymyn’s history to her, if Gaia was here and she had none of it. Then I said, take Barack, essentially a wymyn with a dick and his husband who plays dress-up and so forth and explained that whole privilege thing… She may not cook dinner tonight.
Okay then, I heard it was “National Make Me A Sandwich Day”…how does that scan with Wymyn’s Month? {[:-)
You old charmer!
I should have cautioned, “don’t try this at home” ——- Your results may vary – batteries not included, etc.

The pResident is intent on building a port in Gaza “for entry of humanitarian aid.” Y’ gotta be kiddin’ me!
His primary intent is to strengthen Hamas proividing them with a U.S. controlled port to allow in “building materials (for tunnels and rockets)” as well as replay of Obama’s “Operation Fast and Furious.”
Question: Why would any American Jew (with an IQ above 80) ever vote for any Democrat (Socialist-Progressive) again?
I’ve asked many American Jews that same question, and they just love the democrats who have an affinity for people who want to kill them all. There is no rational explanation that I can identify. Most American Jews do not feel connected to Israel in a religious or political sense.
Interestingly, Pedo Joe did not say that he would ask Congress to earmark the port project in appropriations. The media doesn’t call him on a separation of powers because the swamp will build the port (or maybe two) at five times what it should cost with 10% for the big guy in the skim.

Is that the constellation of low-altitude Starlink Internet satellites?
Why would any American Jew (with an IQ above 80) ever vote for any Democrat (Socialist-Progressive) again?
Higher-IQ middle-class commies don’t do it from rational analysis, they do it driven by genetic instinct. The biggest contributor to how most people vote is wahtever outrageous postcard they receive in the last week before voting, and all you thoughtful people are outvoted. If you really were thoughtful you wouldn’t obey a coalition of less-thoughtful people. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Desmond_Morris had a very interesting career, which included being a zookeeper watching the monkey cage.
wikipedia> Morris is also criticized for suggesting that gender roles have an evolutionary rather than a purely cultural background.
[ten minutes of laughter] Why no, reproductive behavior has nothing to do with evolution.
