TRUMP

There are a lot of people who underestimate Donald J. Trump. I am not one of those people. So it is with interest that I await the unveiling of the new Trump Social Media website.

Donald Trump will return to social media in the next few months with a platform of his own, longtime advisor Jason Miller revealed Sunday.

‘I do think that we’re going to see President Trump returning to social media in probably about two or three months here with his own platform – and this is something that I think will be the hottest ticket in social media,’ Miller said during an interview with Fox News ‘MediaBuzz’ host Howard Kurtz on Sunday morning.

He added that the new platform will ‘completely redefine the game’ of social media.

Biden Bitin’

(Babylon Bee) WASHINGTON, D.C.—Biden has been removed from the White House for evaluation by a team of physicians after biting one of the aides.

“We are so shocked,” said Chief of Staff Ron Klain of the incident. “He has always been so docile and well behaved– always limiting his interactions to sniffing and friendly licks. He’s never bitten anyone like this.”

Experts have suggested that the new environment and activity has been traumatizing to the President, and are suggesting adjusting his diet and perhaps a few weeks at obedience school to remedy the situation.

“Worst case scenario, we may have to put him down,” said Dr. Kevin O’Connor, the White House physician. “Hopefully it doesn’t come to that, but sometimes these things happen.”

Vice President Kamala Harris has assured the American people that Biden will be sent to a nice farm upstate where he can run free.

Statehood for DC?

It is time to admit that the District of Columbia should be reincorporated into the State of Maryland. It was never intended to be a major political body with a large population. Territorially and geographically making it a state makes about as much sense as making San Francisco or any other large metropolitan area a state. The federal buildings, the Mall, and monuments, and other federal property can remain in federal hands. There is no compelling reason to allow the other areas to have a special status.

Comparing Quakes

In the Central and Eastern United States, earthquakes are felt over a broader area than comparable-size quakes in the Western United States because of differences in geology. Although only of magnitude 6, the earthquake that occurred near Saint Louis in 1895 affected a larger area than the 1994 magnitude 6.7 Northridge, California, quake, which caused $40 billion in damage and economic losses and killed 67 people. A repeat of the 1895 earthquake could prove disastrous for the Midwest, where structures are not as earthquake resistant as those in California.

  1. Lots of small quakes in my area recently. No noticeable damage of any kind. We are in the New Madrid sphere. Lots of tremors also located around Cushing Oklahoma, 135 miles south, home of the worlds largest tank farm, the pipeline crossroads of the world.

    • We live on an interesting planet. And it’s not wise to underestimate Mother Nature (well beyond the test of whether it’s margarine or butter).

  2. A man with means should never be underestimated, especially one who was the best President we had in 150 years (+/-). Once the Twitter twits deplatformed him (aka censored) it probably took him all of 3 seconds to decide a new Social platform was necessary and a good business deal.

After yesterdays “best presser in American history” (per the “treat him with kid gloves” MSM losers), it comes as no surprise KH is following The Hologram that closely…just in case. Half expected to hear Biden had an “episode” and Harris was stepping in.

Great AZ picture…makes one pine for Spring to show up in earnest, still white out there.

  3. President Trump may provide a rallying point, and a leader, for taking back this country from the (P)regressive &^*(*&^’s. One can hope.

All along the Wasatch mountains earthquakes occur frequently. Late 60’s we lived there and would occasionally see the hanging light fixtures swaying to and fro. Then we moved to Puget Sound, home to volcanoes and earthquakes. No one ever accused us of being smart.

  4. Going to be interesting when he comes back. Re DC, actually half of it would go to Virginia. They took from both states for the district.

    • we don’t want it. we’ll give them our northernmost three counties as a bribe to just go away.

  5. As for DC becoming a state, I thought the District was created by gaining land from Maryland and Virginia and the laws establishing DC was that it was to remain a Federal District so that a state could not gain from having the Federal Capitol in it’s jurisdiction. That if it gained statehood would be an unconstitutional act. I have never understood why the push to make it a state except to push aside Rhode Island’s claim of being the smallest state. My thought that it should never have allowed to have residents (citizens) living with in the district at all. Only Federal building and short term apartments for Congress to live while Congress was in session and the White House for the President and Blair House for the VP, no other residents.

    • What? No barracks to defend the Nation’s Capitol from the people in fly-over-country who felt that the Bill of Rights was being trampled upon?

You may be right. Just shrink Washington DC to the immediate capitol district and give the malcontents back to the states (VA and MD), if they wanted it.

      • EXACTLY.

The whole damn point of D.C. was that it was not meant to be a State.

If you want Congressmen (who the hell would?) MOVE OUT.

        -Kle.

  6. I must be a slow learner. Did not think all that much of President Trump in the 2016 election run-up but in the end cast my vote against Hilary Clinton and just by happenstance for Mr. Trump. Like I said slow learner but I did learn, 2020 comes around and I did vote for President Trump in both the state primary and the general election.
Would have been a lot better for the country and its citizens if he was still in the White House.
Not much of a fan of social media but I would be tempted to join a platform he ran just to up the numbers a little bit.

  7. Not to hijack a thread LL but I have to be in Juarez for a few days . Can anyone recommend a reliable El Paso gun dealer who will store my plastic pistol, while I am in May he coe ?

  8. I think President Trump is not a man you trample on lightly. I don’t know what, or even if, he has anything planned for the future, but I wish him well in all his endeavors.

I was in exactly one eathquake in Illinois. I won’t have even known it if someone hadn’t noticed the lights where I was working swaying. I think it was about a 3 or so.
