I thought that I’d mention it since many Americans believe that it’s Cinco de Mayo (not an observed holiday in Mexico).

 

¡Viva México!

 

Finally, the day is here when I can eat tacos without being concerned about engaging in cultural appropriation!

  1. Which Mexican Independence Day? When they broke off of Spain? When they won from being conquered by France? When they had their little revolutionary period in the 1910s and the government changed?

    Forget it, Jake, It’s Mexico. Started out screwed up, stays screwed up, will end screwed up.

    Above, 1st is August 24, 1821, second is June 21, 1867, third is December 1, 1920 (the government that won was the government but wasn’t the government that was at the beginning.)

    Again, Mexico. Big cup of whatever…
