Sacrifice and Ritual

I don’t know whether or not you’re following Dr. Jordan Peterson’s Series on the Book of Exodus. This is the latest entry. Make of it what you will. To me, it’s a study aid.

This is episode one. Right Reason is humble, and rightly so. Idolatry seeks to dethrone the Most High in favor of an usurper. Whether that usurper is the faculty of reason, the pride of man, or the vanity of some high-sounding ideal is no matter.

Some of it is behind a paywall. Is it worth your money? You be the judge.

Bullet Points:

** You ask why things are screwed up. It’s a fair question. Within my lifetime, America went from legalizing no-fault divorce (California, 1969) to legalizing abortion (Hawaii, 1970) to making abortion a constitutional right (Roe v Wade, 1973) sodomy a constitutional right (Lawrence v Texas, 2003), the “marriage” of sodomites a constitutional right (Obergefell v. Hodges, 2015), to transvestitism and other sexual perversions being protected under the Civil Rights Act (Bostock v. Clayton County, 2020).

** As to whether Hillary Clinton is a reptile or a human, the Babylon Bee offers a DNA-based analysis for your consideration.

** IDF vs Hamas (h/t Claudio) + The Pit, revealed.

** (NY Post) – In Washington DC – According to a report, a CVS location in Washington, DC, was forced to wipe its shelves clean of toilet paper and replace them with framed photos of the products amid rising thefts in the country’s capital.

Suppose customers need to purchase toilet paper or paper towels. In that case, they must tap a buzzer placed on the bare shelves to summon a store employee to retrieve it from a back room, according to an Instagram post from the account Washingtonian Problems.

** NASA – “Webb finally revealed the connection between water vapor in the inner disk and the drift of icy pebbles from the outer disk,” said principal investigator Andrea Banzatti of Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. “This finding opens up exciting prospects for studying rocky planet formation with Webb!”

** The Queen of GreenClimate Justice for Gaza!

Having sparked controversy by posting a tweet in support of Palestinians last month, Greta Thunberg doubled down by imploring audience members at a climate rally in Amsterdam to chant “no climate justice on occupied land.” A man then grabbed her microphone and, not unreasonably, complained: “I’ve come for a climate demonstration, not a political view.”

I don’t know what will happen if this doesn’t mark the end of the Queen of Green’s reign. It’s hard to imagine any environmental campaigner would have had the gall to interrupt Greta’s flow at the height of Thunbergmania. And she’s not 16 anymore, so I cannot blame inexperience for implying “Palestine” is some beacon of environmental justice.

** My former co-workers are dropping left and right. DP, pictured right, worked with me years ago. She ended her career with the US State Department in the Diplomatic Security Service. My career twisted and turned. So did hers, and we ran into each other in the strangest places.

She’s certainly not the last, but her death hit me out of left field. How is it possible? Yes, we’re all headed for that six-foot drop, but sometimes it’s a complete surprise. She’s the second in a little over a week. Ask not for whom the bell tolls. RIP, DP. You were a class act and a first-class gunslinger.

Very sorry for your loss LL. Over the years I’ve lost quite a few friends. Like you said we all know it’s going to happen but yet we’re still perplexed when does.

    R. I. P. D. P.

        1. X3,my condolences to all her family and friends. The really disconcerting thing for me is losing friends that are years younger than me. Hollering out “that’s not fair” into the night sky is somehow insufficient.

          1. I too stand on the deck shouting to the sky asking God the “why” of such things….saying, “We need good people here!” I then think maybe He was intervening for a reason, which would always be a good reason.

          2. I saw a picture of a living friend (younger than I am) from yesteryear, and she looked like a mummified zombie. From all indications, she still has her wits, which is not true of some other friends who have lost their marbles. (no not to the point of becoming democrats, but you know what I mean)

  5. I read this morning of Biden pushing the Gov of Calif as his replacement in the next election. That and the fact that the problems of the last election’s vote counting have NOT been fixed points to a gloomy future.
The cabal can put ANYONE they want in the White House as long as they control how the “votes” are counted.

    1. Was reading Sundance’s long article/commentary over at CTH, a recap of “the shenanigans”…bottom line…save for PDJT, altho he still had the backstabbers and enough cabal to deal with…the person sitting in the Oval Office IS NOT running things…then goes on to explain the “silo effect” (again).

We The People are in trouble with these clowns and grifters….or as Dwayne over at Dry Creek Wrangler School (YT) said the other day(a quip, he does not use his channel for politics), “I don’t know what kind of formaldehyde they’re putting in Mitch’s veins but that man is the walking dead…we have a bunch of ancient geezers making a mess of things who should have been put out to pasture 20 years ago.” (Or words to that affect)

    2. Rob, thanks for sharing, your points have been a concern.
Newsom made a preliminary trip to Bejing just prior to the big pow wow in S.F.
x2 with L.L. on us allowing ” them” to decide the algorithms for the dominion systems.
Paul, I can only think that if someone has already amassed million$, in their 60’s either love for country or an addiction to power could motivate them to stay in stink D.C. for another decade….or even 20+ yrs more. For what? Not formaldehyde but an elixir only elites can afford. Adrenochrome? Just asking for a friend.

      1. That’s the second time this week someone has mention Adrenochrome.

Wiki: …a chemical compound produced by the oxidation of adrenaline (epinephrine). It was the subject of limited research from the 1950s through to the 1970s as a potential cause of schizophrenia.

That might explain a lot. But this:

“The adrenochrome conspiracy, a bizarre theory…posits that Satan-worshipping global and Hollywood elites run a massive child trafficking ring to drain their blood and harvest the chemical adrenochrome to stay young…theorists have alleged top Democrats like the Clintons and Obamas, celebrities like Tom Hanks and Oprah Winfrey, and billionaires like George Soros, are among the elites…”

        Conspiracy? Maybe not.

  6. That’s one of the worst things about growing old. You start losing your contemporaries. That’s been happening to me more and more lately as well.

  7. It is sad when people you like and respect die. Counter view. I’ve outlived most of the jerks I knew in High School. That gives me a perverse satisfaction.

Attributed to Clarence Darrow. “I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure.”

    1. “I didn’t attend the funeral, but I sent a nice note saying that I approved.” – Mark Twain

  8. Greta Toonberg: Amazing how these types continue to hang on past their influence warranty, then make fools of themselves when people stop buying their brand of insanity. Then again, we do have Hanoi Jane still kicking, and kicking around. Ms. China Syndrome that turn peoples noses up against Nuclear Power generation. [me shouting from my deck: “Hey Greta! Get a real job! Do something productive for once!” (doubt she heard me as most of those types only hear themselves talking)

        1. Appears Greta has recently passed the demented baton to a few younger woman folk who – despite not being born yet when 9/11 happened – are now embracing the Bin Laden “manifesto” as if it was some great text.

Peoples brains (certainly the weak-minded and/or bored one’s) have been co-opted by Satan, as we witness the reprehensible resurgence of Jew hatred in so many I’m half expecting Mein Kamf to be touted as the new gospel by these same morons.

Those who do not know their history….

  9. Ah, deaths. Weird as a kid, but when people under you start dropping from natural causes and old age, it hits hard.

As to the Turdberg? She’s just another failed actor who’s playing far above her actual useful level. Her parents are pulling her strings and someone or someones are pulling their strings.

  10. Condolences on the passing of a friend, LL. Seems to be a recurring theme, but life continues, and hopefully all the good the people have made things that will outlast the,.

  11. I took my dad to the Holstein show at the Kansas state fair every year as he aged. That was one of his haunts in his prime, showing world class cattle they breed and raised, including aged bulls. He and his brother had a closed herd, which meant they never brought any replacement females in, just grew their own.

As we were leaving after the show when he was 100 years old he remarked. “I didn’t see any of my old buddies!” I told him “dad, your old buddies are long gone, and quite frankly your young buddies aren’t looking all that good!” He said “I know, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it!”

    1. One day in his mid-80’s my father said, quite plaintively (and uncharacteristically), “All my friends have died.” He mused for a few seconds and added, “Or moved to California.” I was tempted to make some smartassed remark along the lines of “hard to say which is worse, these days” but it was not a good occasion to make jokes.
