I don’t know whether or not you’re following Dr. Jordan Peterson’s Series on the Book of Exodus. This is the latest entry. Make of it what you will. To me, it’s a study aid.
This is episode one. Right Reason is humble, and rightly so. Idolatry seeks to dethrone the Most High in favor of an usurper. Whether that usurper is the faculty of reason, the pride of man, or the vanity of some high-sounding ideal is no matter.

** (NY Post) – In Washington DC – According to a report, a CVS location in Washington, DC, was forced to wipe its shelves clean of toilet paper and replace them with framed photos of the products amid rising thefts in the country’s capital.
Suppose customers need to purchase toilet paper or paper towels. In that case, they must tap a buzzer placed on the bare shelves to summon a store employee to retrieve it from a back room, according to an Instagram post from the account Washingtonian Problems.

Having sparked controversy by posting a tweet in support of Palestinians last month, Greta Thunberg doubled down by imploring audience members at a climate rally in Amsterdam to chant “no climate justice on occupied land.” A man then grabbed her microphone and, not unreasonably, complained: “I’ve come for a climate demonstration, not a political view.”
I don’t know what will happen if this doesn’t mark the end of the Queen of Green’s reign. It’s hard to imagine any environmental campaigner would have had the gall to interrupt Greta’s flow at the height of Thunbergmania. And she’s not 16 anymore, so I cannot blame inexperience for implying “Palestine” is some beacon of environmental justice.

** My former co-workers are dropping left and right. DP, pictured right, worked with me years ago. She ended her career with the US State Department in the Diplomatic Security Service. My career twisted and turned. So did hers, and we ran into each other in the strangest places.
She’s certainly not the last, but her death hit me out of left field. How is it possible? Yes, we’re all headed for that six-foot drop, but sometimes it’s a complete surprise. She’s the second in a little over a week. Ask not for whom the bell tolls. RIP, DP. You were a class act and a first-class gunslinger.

X3,my condolences to all her family and friends. The really disconcerting thing for me is losing friends that are years younger than me. Hollering out “that’s not fair” into the night sky is somehow insufficient.
I too stand on the deck shouting to the sky asking God the “why” of such things….saying, “We need good people here!” I then think maybe He was intervening for a reason, which would always be a good reason.
Old friends, young friends, all friends. They’re hard to replace, if not impossible.
I saw a picture of a living friend (younger than I am) from yesteryear, and she looked like a mummified zombie. From all indications, she still has her wits, which is not true of some other friends who have lost their marbles. (no not to the point of becoming democrats, but you know what I mean)

I read this morning of Biden pushing the Gov of Calif as his replacement in the next election. That and the fact that the problems of the last election’s vote counting have NOT been fixed points to a gloomy future.
The cabal can put ANYONE they want in the White House as long as they control how the “votes” are counted.
It’s not who votes, it’s who counts…and in a larger sense, who WE allow to count.

Was reading Sundance’s long article/commentary over at CTH, a recap of “the shenanigans”…bottom line…save for PDJT, altho he still had the backstabbers and enough cabal to deal with…the person sitting in the Oval Office IS NOT running things…then goes on to explain the “silo effect” (again).

Condolences on the passing of a friend, LL. Seems to be a recurring theme, but life continues, and hopefully all the good the people have made things that will outlast the,.
I took my dad to the Holstein show at the Kansas state fair every year as he aged. That was one of his haunts in his prime, showing world class cattle they breed and raised, including aged bulls. He and his brother had a closed herd, which meant they never brought any replacement females in, just grew their own.
As we were leaving after the show when he was 100 years old he remarked. “I didn’t see any of my old buddies!” I told him “dad, your old buddies are long gone, and quite frankly your young buddies aren’t looking all that good!” He said “I know, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it!”
One day in his mid-80’s my father said, quite plaintively (and uncharacteristically), “All my friends have died.” He mused for a few seconds and added, “Or moved to California.” I was tempted to make some smartassed remark along the lines of “hard to say which is worse, these days” but it was not a good occasion to make jokes.
