NGOs and Illegal Immigration
Boron asked a question about the sundry non-government organizations that are involved in the movement of illegal aliens into the United States. I’ll spotlight some of the illegal alien industry here for your consumption.
Consider how the US State Department spent more than $640 billion globally in non-military foreign aid from 2012 through 2022. For the most part, the US State Department subcontracts its work to non-government organizations that fulfill the distribution or oversee its application. Organizations that do this work have made billions over time because the administrative overhead is much of the total budget.
For the purposes of this blog, I will not analyze all of the organizations on the list, but you, dear readers, are free to explore them on your own. How many of these organizations are communist fronts? You couldn’t swing a dead cat around your head without hitting dozens.
Once illegal aliens are received in the US, NGOs will work with them, and the general term that we use is we go through a ‘processing.’ ” John Martin, the deputy director for the Opportunity Center for the Homeless, said. “That processing facilitates travel to the destination of their choice.”
NGOs receive billions of taxpayer funds through several federal departments like the Department of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services.
According to Forbes, the NGO Catholic Charities USA received $1.4 billion from government support compared with $1 billion in private donations. Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service reported more than $93.1 million in U.S. government grants in its 2021 financial statement, making taxpayer-funded grants more than 80% of its total support.
It’s a deep rabbit hole, and it is exceptionally well-funded.

Without discussing the back story, which you might find interesting, I investigated the source of firearms that made their way to the Zapatista revolutionary movement in Chiapas, Mexico, from the United States. The prime mover in this gun-running operation was the Society of Jesus/Catholic Church, which was headquartered (smuggling operation) at the University of San Francisco. I found out what, who, when, where, why, and how so that MEXGOV, primarily SEMAR (Mexican Marine Corps), could stop the flow by seizing weapons in Mexico that were bound for the insurgent group. Through intelligence provided to CISEN – The Mexican Center for Investigation and National Security (now disbanded), the Mexican Navy/Marine Corps seized weapons and ammunition provided by Catholic Charities.
As an aside, the leading Jesuit Brother in this gun-running scheme had four wives and a dozen or so children, the oldest of which worked with him in the enterprise.
Many years later, Mexican President Fox signed a peace treaty with the Zapatistas in my office.

Yes, I’m a little tongue-in-cheek. However, the current theory that the Western Hemisphere and the world were completely isolated until the coming of Vikings and later European explorers is challenging to swallow. If the Europeans had not brought germs from their fetid inner cities, they would have met a different culture than the one they subdued. Many historians cite those germs as proof that there was no interchange before the arrival of Europeans – but that discounts that the interchanges took place before the rise of filthy European cities that served as breeding grounds for said diseases. As we learn more, the absolute separation of the Western Hemisphere is an increasingly complex case to support.

No surprise…pretty sure Jesus would have a different take on their misguided “humanitarian aid”, similar to his dressing down of the Pharisee’s and Sadducees. “Brood of Vipers” is no different than some of the harsh (but accurate) terms we’ve (I’ve) used in our frustration watching the chaos.
If we want to get people in to church (and I do, just the right church, with the spiritual transformation to match) then we are going to have to rebrand “church”.
“Bar” and “Great Outdoors” are already taken. But it’s going to have to be something disassociated with weak, snively, or effeminate or cowardly pastors and the appearance of being subject to the women.

If Satan rules in our halls of legislation, the pulpit is responsible for it. If our politics become so corrupt that the very foundations of our government are ready to fall away, the pulpit is responsible for it.”
This is exactly why in 2020-2022 a majority of churches and their congregations folded so easily when unlawful Lockdown edicts were given; fear and lack of strength and courage of what may come if they employed righteous civil disobedience. The pulpit was responsible for it. Jesus was unafraid…can’t have a better model than that to emulate…yet many church leaders did not. That’s on them.

Will be interesting to see if there is something that looks like DNA on Mars. And if there is, did it transfer from Earth on a rock or did it drop in from elsewhere, evolving earlier? I believe the James Webb Space Telescope showed images inconsistent with a universe “origin” as recently as the Big Bang, and more like a steady-state. If so, then an eternity of time for DNA to have evolved on the other side of the visible universe. Or maybe that stuff in the “sky” is just the scenery on the zoo cage wall. That old joke about a clergy going to the top of a house while the flood waters rise, prays for a boat, one shows up. They tell him to climb in, says no, save someone else God will save me. Does this twice then prays for a helicopter as he’s sitting on top of the chimney. Same answer when it arrives. Of course, he drowns. Goes to Heaven and immediately asks God why he didn’t save him? God says, “What did you want, I answered your prayers, sent you two boats and a helicopter but you refused my help.”

The question about Dr. Quest’s satellite link is an interesting one. Was it ever mentioned what year it was in the show?
Telstar was an analog bird, but it probably could have handled digital just as well. The satellites really don’t care too much about what the modulation scheme is. To the satellite, it’s just “RF IN = RF Out”.
