Affordable Housing

Combine these with a wide range of other regulatory restrictions, and you have the answer of what is driving up prices and decreasing housing supply.”

(h/t Hogsbreath) In an exercise similar to those I ran at the DIA, I’d like to shed some light on the true enemy of the United States, their plan, tactics, and the tools they have at their disposal.

A reality that I don’t need to explain is that governments lie—a lot. Sometimes, lies are necessary to protect troops on the field. Still, most of the time, governments lie to hide their illegal and unconstitutional acts from the people they are supposedly serving.

The men who signed the Declaration of Independence believed that our nation’s sovereignty was not in the King or the Parliament but in the people. That meant we were to know everything our leaders were doing on our behalf and that they had no business knowing anything about how we lived our lives.

Today, that script has flipped. Our rulers believe our nation’s sovereignty is vested in them—the Administrative State and all the corporate interests and elites who serve each other’s interests so well. At the same time, they serve up lies to us, the people, and demand we digest them as facts.

None of this is news to the many who have followed our government over the past decades. Since COVID, tens of millions of Americans have realized what many “Conspiracy Theorists” have known to be true. We should be thrilled about the new converts to the cause of truth – people like Glenn Greenwald, Naomi Wolf, and Jimmy Dore … but I am also deeply grateful for those who are not newcomers to the cause — rock-solid American patriots who are:

Anti-communist, anti-collectivist, constitutionalists, pro-lifers, tenth amendment fans, and deeply committed Americans.

While many tell us:

“Don’t attribute to malice what can be explained by stupidity.”

I tell you that for our government, the opposite is true:

We should never “attribute to stupidity what can be explained by the malice of our current leaders.”  (continued)

 

Homelessness

(NY Post) “Illegal migrants flooding the US are contributing to what could be the highest number of homeless in the country since the data were first recorded, with cities draining their coffers to fund shelters, a report says.

At least 550,000 people were reported homeless in January — the same month the US notched the highest number ever of border crossings, according to an analysis by the Wall Street Journal.

The disturbing homeless figure was at least 10% higher than in January 2023, the year with the highest overall annual tally since 2007, when the government started reporting its own figures, the outlet noted.

This past January’s tally will presumably end up even higher since not every city, including the Big Apple, which has a significant homeless population, has yet reported its data to the government.

The hordes of homeless have swelled along with the record numbers of migrants illegally crossing the border and then claiming asylum and being bused to cities such as New York, Chicago, Boston, and Denver, straining public coffers and bringing crime and gang violence to the streets.

Reports from Massachusetts revealed that migrants accounted for almost half of the more than 7,000 families in the state’s family shelters in January.

The state expects to spend more than $1 billion housing migrants this fiscal year, the Journal reported.”

 

Small Modular Reactors/Generators

(Wired) “It’s all part of an ongoing flirtation between Big Tech and nuclear power. In March, Amazon Web Services agreed to buy a data center in Pennsylvania powered by the Susquehanna nuclear power station.

At an event at Carnegie Mellon University on September 18, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai mentioned small modular nuclear reactors as one potential energy source for data centers. The links don’t stop there either: OpenAI CEO Sam Altman chairs the boards of nuclear startups Oklo and Helion Energy.

The AI boom has left technology companies scrambling for low-carbon energy sources to power their data centers. The International Energy Agency estimates that electricity demand from AI, data centers, and crypto could double by 2026.”
