Good morning Riverrider, time to get up.

The aircraft captioned above,  and featured below isn’t much of a mystery,  but it will have to do today.

Were they Invited In?

Nobody has shown photos of the destroyed doors to the US Capitol, battered down by Trump supporters.

How Long?

As we previously highlighted, the question of how long coronavirus restrictions will remain in place was put to Iceland’s chief epidemiologist, who responded in the affirmative that the rules could be in effect for up to fifteen years, with a booster vaccination mandated every six months to a year.

Yeah, with a 99.8% survival rate.

Rome & China

The First Contact Between Rome and China [Seres] took place with Parthian traders who acted as intermediaries.

(Romans did not call it China, they called the country Seres, Latin for silk.) more here.

The Ancient Romans loved Chinese silk textiles, but for a long time knew very little of both China and silk production. For instance, several old Roman sources claim that silk grows on trees, which is sort of true and not true at all at the same time. Silk cloth is woven from silk harvested from the cocoons created by silkworms, the larva of the species Bombyx mori (Domestic silkmoth). These larvae do live in trees, preferably the White mulberry tree.

In the year 166, an envoy dispatched by Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius successfully traveled from the Persian Gulf to China, thus establishing the first direct contact between the two empires. This was after the Romans had defeated Parthia on the battlefield (Bombyx mori), taking control over the Persian Gulf themselves.

There is the lost legion that may have ended up in China too. The jury is out on that one.

Brain Teasers:

-1-  How do you know when you’re too drunk to drive? When you swerve to miss a tree only to discover that it was your air freshener.

-2- There has been a huge up-tick in women with testicular cancer now that the woke crowd has taken charge.  What can more can be said? Erections have consequences.

-3- Cartoon of the Mooch from back in the years just post-Obamanation, when Melania and the Mooch were being compared.

-4- Yeah –  yeah, a death wish.

-5- As some of you know, I’m always looking for the perfect scam, whether it’s leasing out my property as carbon credit offsets or naming a star after somebody you love (you’d get a certificate suitable for framing). This one is new, but it rivals the star naming thing.

  1. And popular history would have you think that China was “discovered” by Marco Polo, much later.
CoronaDoom will last as long as the CDC wants it too.
They’ll want it to until someone tells them otherwise. I keep hoping it will be at the point of a gun.

    • Popular history will have you think that:

Columbus discovered the New World – no, he didn’t. He discovered a bunch of inhabited islands. And proved that the world was as big as the ancient Greeks said it was, not 18,000ish miles in diameter.

It was the Phonecians in South America and the Norse in North America, that found the already inhabited New World.

Popular history also tells us that Columbus proved the world was round. Never mind work done by the Greeks, the Indians (dot forehead), the various civilizations in South and Central America (but not the feather indians…,) the Chinese, the Koreans, the Mongols, the Franks, the Saxons, the Anglo-Saxons, the bloody drunk Irish…

They also said that Woodrow Wilson was a good president and really cared about American Citizens (as long as they were white, and married, but how is that different from today’s democrats?)

  2. Scammers are very creative, gotta give ’em that…and the General Public is very gullible (just send money!). I do like the star deal though, romantic gift…for a High School GF…in the 80’s. Doesn’t quit send the right message these days.

Not one mag put a fashion model and successful business woman before meeting Trump on their cover. Sums up their scummy mentality. Whatever happened to being a decent person? Ans: Social Media. Allows people to be their worse selves without consequence, unless you love America and traditional values…and know men do not give birth (Geez, can’t believe that even has to be said…humanity has fallen far.)

Alinsky wrapped around Orwell – the firehose effect to destroy America…and half eat up the candy.

1st Pic…Is she bringing me tea? Really?

  3. “How do you know when you’re too drunk to drive?”
When Debbie Dingell’s abomination in the “infrastructure” bill tells you so?

  4. yowza! nice wake up call. thanks. …wonder if you sent dna to the moon in about a zillion years it’ll get up and walk/crawl? would it build a spacecraft to explore earth? i’ve had a theory for decades that we were planted here from somewhere else, maybe as food for space travelers……noticed the bill re: drunk driving, featured passive detection. no blowing in a tube which can be cheated. must have a sniffer in the cabin air filter? talk about big brother…i’d be screaming too if i woke up to the mooch in my bed. ,….when will covid end? when we start shooting idiots in the face. word on the street the fda is giving pfizer final approval, even after internal papers leaked that pfizer admits the vax is bogus. that will spur the mandate/lockdown idiots. people, lots of people from what i can tell, will balk. tptb can’t let that stand, order popo to enforce. they balk too, here comes the natty guards. do they balk? if they do we’ve got a revolution. if they don’t we have a civil war. long dark winter indeed. buy more ammo.

  5. The only way I would send my DNA to the moon is if I took it myself.

Covid restrictions will last as long as people allow them to. Politicians have found a great way to increase their power and are not going to let it go without a struggle. My prediction is after the Covid restrictions go away there will be some other useful pandemic to continue their control over the populous.

Aircraft…Hmm maybe we should buy the next AWACS from Australia. That is what we should have done with the KC 46. The Aussies have been flying 767 based tankers for a long time and have worked all the kinks out. We had to reinvent the wheel.

  6. Of COURSE Romans settled in China. We learned all about it in Dragon Blade (2015).
Yuh see, Jackie Chan was this Chinese soldier and leader of some sort who had a Uighur wife, and he became friends with John Cusack who was this Roman general (that’s the word Wikipedia uses). So Cusack and Chan team up to fight this corrupt other Roman general (Adrian Brody). Cusack gets trapped and about to burn to death, so Jackie mercy kills him with an arrow, but it makes him very sad. Then a combined Multi-Cultural Force (MCF) of Han and Uighur and Turks and Hindus (or some shit) fights Brody’s evil legion. But shockingly, MCF alone is not enough and Jackie has to fight Brody mano a mano. Jackie wins and we learn all kinds of important lessons. Like Han and Uighur totally get along. And Turks and Han and Hindus can be allies and friends. And Romans could totally think that non-Romans weren’t filthy barbarian scum. There were lots of deep and true historical messages in Dragon Blade, and I think we of today could learn an important thing or two from Sino-Romano history as depicted in this fine movie.

On the other hand, apparently the (dot) Indian press freaking HATED Dragon Blade, which is one of the best things going for the movie.

    • Those historical records are part of the white patriarchy, which everyone knows includes Chinese. At least we have commercials to balance (in part) the content with black actors.

The (dot) Indians only like Bollywood Films where the dream sequences feature at least 83 (dot) Indian dancers in traditional clothing. You know that the dreams are bogus because they don’t include white Anglican lesbians doing an interpretive liturgical dance [in comfortable shoes], or tribal Africans including women wearing only grass skirts doing their traditional dances Nat Geo style.

I think that you’ve drawn the correct conclusions, all that notwithstanding.

      • “The (dot) Indians….lesbians doing an interpretive liturgical dance…dances NatGeo Style.”

        That’s a mouth full…so to speak….a helluva descriptive visual.

    • Almost?
      Must try harder #hangsheadinshame

@DrJim. It occurred to me that, had I written more high school reports like that, my life would have been easier. My history teacher (think SDS type 60’s radical with a trust fund) really didn’t like my positions on almost anything. I found out later the History Dept said amongst themselves that I was “a combination of Edmund Burke and Klemens von Metternich” which also goes to show they didn’t get what I was about. Though it is probably the most erudite put down that I’ve received. Heh.

  7. I will thank you to not call that a scam. It is real and provides a valued service to millions of the forlorn. Also, this morning I received an e-mail from one Warren Buffett. He said he has noticed my high intellect therefore wishes to cut me in on a new venture in the offing. I’m already salivating over the prospects.

      • You know, if you play your cards right, I can sell you a few acres on the moon adjacent to what will be the largest shopping center that will be built there this century. Send your Krugerrands care of the White Wolf Mine.
