It’s Friday…what is there to do?

Bullet Points:
** Was Joan of Arc inspired or was she crazy as a shit house rat? There are theories that cut in both directions.
** On Monday, Senator Fetterman (D-PA) was released from the psych ward at Walter Reed Hospital after going through five weeks of treatment. He showed up at the Capitol looking homeless. Yesterday he celebrated Marijuana Day.

What a national disgrace.
** If you are a good credit risk, your government will require that you subsidize a deadbeat.
** A former acting CIA director has admitted to Congress that he organized the letter that falsely portrayed Hunter Biden’s laptop as Russian disinformation in an effort to influence the 2020 election in favor of Joe Biden and that he did so at the direction of current Secretary of State Antony Blinken, according to a letter released Thursday by House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan.
** Do Jack-in-the-Box tacos contain meat? What are Jack in the Box tacos made from?” The Jack In The Box taco box clearly states that the tacos are “Made with Beef and Chicken” in addition to the Textured Vegetable Protein. Therefore, Jack In The Box Tacos contain real meat and are not vegetarian and vegan friendly.
Published filling ingredients: Beef, Chicken, Water, Textured Vegetable Protein (Soy Flour, Caramel Color), Defatted Soy Grits, Seasoning (Chili Pepper, Corn Maltodextrin, Spices, Bleached Enriched Wheat Flour [Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, and Folic Acid], Salt, Garlic Powder, Hydrolyzed Corn, Soy, and Wheat Proteins, Monosodium Glutamate, Onion Powder, Natural Flavors, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Succinic Acid), Salt, Tomato Paste, Worcestershire Sauce (Distilled Vinegar, Molasses, Corn Syrup, Water, Salt, Caramel Color, Garlic Powder, Sugar, Spices, Tamarind, Natural Flavor, Sulfiting Agent).
Have a great weekend.
Jean d’Arc can be, and probably was, both nuts and inspired.
Jack Tacos are made of delicious! If it turned out that they were made of Yellowcake Uranium, I would still eat them (when I’m on the West Coast, or somewhere else that Jack exists).
-Kle.
Well, that answers the question I was about to pose:
“Who eats JITB tacos?”
:)
I think they’re pretty good, but what I really crave is just a simple beef and cheese burrito…….YUM!
JITB tacos are like two for a buck. Cheap snack.
They aren’t exactly food, and are not like any other tacos, but I do love those things.
-Kle.
P.S. – Jim Rockford also ate them.
-Kle.
John the Baptist acted a bit weird, too.
And Fetterman is a poster child for too much dope.
Now we have the poster.
X2
Pennsylvania had to choose between Fetterman and a TV doctor for the Senate? And Oz was a carpetbagger at that… WTF happened in PA to give them that choice?
Tacos (even the JIB cheapo tacos) are like hot dogs, if you’re one of those people who needs to ask what’s in it you ought to be eating something else..
Dr. Mehmet Oz is an Oprah acolyte. How could he be trusted? Trump endorsed him…
And yet they had to cheat yuugely to get Festerman ‘elected.’ Hmmmm….
my trusty hot dog chili has been going downhill in quality for a while so i looked for a new one. checked the nutrient labels of several at the grocery. only ONE had meat as the main ingredient. one had soy grits, whatever that is, one had ground beans, one had water as the main. none had meat even on the list. well, one did, at twice the cost so i bought that one to try. i found a recipe online that sounds good, even has beer in it. i’ll have to find a bunch of tiny freezer containers first though……feterman, read a statement at a committee hearing like a third grader. it was painful to watch. and sad. is it me or has the lump on his neck gotten smaller?
Tacos.

My favorite is the shredded brisket.
Thanks for the recommend! We have Fuzzy’s here and I’d wondered if they were any good. My wife went to “Torchy’s Tacos” and said it was pretty mediochre.
Torchy’s: That was my opinion, as well. My wife really liked them when the vet’s clinic she worked at was across the street from one. I’d just as soon not go there again.
Fuzzy’s: We have them here, but we’ve never gone. I managed to embarrass the hell out of my wife in front of her father years ago when discussing taco joints. They said they’d heard Fuzzy’s was good. I absent-mindedly wondered if they served pink tacos, as I quite liked eating fuzzy pink tacos. I got whacked hard as she turned bright red.
SO many key words in Blinken’s “Early Life” but let’s consider just this one: Dalton School (attended until 1971). Yesterday we were talking about Bill Barr’s daddy Donald? Donald Barr was Dalton headmaster 1964-1974. And since I just looked THAT up, I also just learned that Jeffrey Epstein was a teacher at Dalton 1974-1976.
SUCH a small world. I don’t know if “any boy can grow up to be President” was ever true, but clearly we now have an hereditary aristocracy more inbred than the British peerage. And as is common historically across space and time, much of “our” aristocracy is ethnically different from the average man on the street. The difference here is that the average Saxon was at least as aware of the Norman-ness of his overlord, as the overlord was. But the standard American serf has been conditioned to not notice who our overlords are.
Incest in the Swamp is necessary to insure loyalty.
“Incest” is correct, except we’re the ones getting screwed by these inbred scumbags loyal only to the Evil Clubhouse.
I can’t get over how enthused Senator Fetterman looks in the 420 picture. It looks like his handlers are just about coercing him to hold up the flag. The speech he gave was pretty darn close to awful.
Fester…
More addled than Ol Joe. Fetterneck is a disgrace, but more importantly he is a designed distraction.
You send in clowns (Pedo Joe and Fetterman) when you need a distraction.
The solution to the Bidenistas charging you more for a mortgage if you have good credit is to lower your credit rating. It’s probably worth doing the calculations to see how much it costs you, but if your costs are only based on having a credit score above some level just lowering your credit rating enough to not get charged more wins.
I think it has always been that higher credit scores were always better. What they’re doing is changing the world so that there’s an optimum range for credit scores, which is just below where they start charging you for being better. It only gets complicated if the interest you pay on other things goes up as your score went down.
And here I spent the last few years becoming debt free and trying to maximize my credit score in case I wanted to sell my house and move. Silly me. Now I will have to do as you suggest and run the numbers to see what the optimal level of indebtedness is. This is probably a no win situation because I would image your credit card rates would climb on the lower credit rating. You could possibly lose other perks like free checking and grace periods on the cards.
I haven’t looked at The Biden Plan and thus can’t speak from detailed knowledge, but it’s not only about hitting the “sweet spot” of credit score. There is already effectively weighting of credit score based on (claimed) victimhood. That’s what having different “lendability” thresholds for POCs vs whites is equivalent to. (More precisely, Sun People vs Ice People to use Derbyshire’s terminology.)
I think I’m being sarcastic, but maybe it’ll become true: I expect weighting for sexual deviance as well. So it’d be best to be, say, a one-legged homosexual Zambian with a spatula fetish. Or something like that. Hah! I can see the mortgage application now. “Well, sir, I’d like to give you the two-point lower rate for negrophile homosexual bottoms, but you’re going to have to prove it. [hits intercom button] Lisa! Please have Tyrone and Donquavious report to Room 3.”
Haha! Thing is, be careful what you wish for.
…or joke about. These people are bent on being bent.
Fetterman is…not all there. I just wonder who his Svengali is. Re JITB- No, just no…
Exactly.
I keep wondering how much weirder things can get. Our Country has been stolen from us, and is being rehaped by our “betters” to suit their needs, not ours. Sure am glad I picked up a Bible and started reading it a few years ago…..
God’s Word lifts the veil, easier to see the evil all around and plan accordingly.
Amen. The original red pill.
JoA: Both. Most inspired people are crazy as loons.
Fetterman is a perfect example of our times: Did he take too many drugs or not enough?
I hope to not need a high credit rating until 1) FJB et al are long gone and things improve, or 2) everything goes to hell and any credit rating won’t matter anymore. I believe I’ll pick Door #2 Alex.
Disclosures: So what? Nothing nobody doesn’t already know and nothing will come of it anyway.
Those that eat at Jack deserve what they get. Enough seasoning makes anything taste … not bad. Even Beyond Meat or Soylent Green.
Jeanne D’Arc… Ah, the Maid of Orleans.
Ifn you read your bible, either the Word of God is easier to be heard by people not-quite-right-in-the-head or hearing the Word of God directly kind of makes you not-quite-right-in-the-head.
Though… who labeled her as NQRITH? Oh, that’s right, the English and the Burgundians. You know, her enemies.
So since at that time actually murdering a Voice on this Earth of God, of which said Maid of Orleans was, was kind of a ‘Go Directly to Hell, as you’ve done much worse than commit just a deadly sin,’ her enemies had to justify said murdering by linking her actions to either the Devil (which they did) and her not being quite right in the head (which they did.)
For those playing at home, read up on the lives of the Saints who got direct messages from above. Though the people around the proto-saints tend to get better, the actual prot-saint tends to suffer rather horribly. Like Bernadette Soubirous, that would be St. Bernadette of Lourdes, who after having visions of the Holy Mother Mary, suffered from illness for the rest of her short life. (Her corpse was/is one of those that stayed preserved and mostly lifelike for at least 50 years after her death. In death her body was in better shape than in life. See? See what I mean?)
People who become Saints because they do good work? They tend to live long and relatively healthy lives, like St. Francis of Assisi.
I have had a theory, based on a reading of The Bible, of history and of various Saints, that the best place to be is not to be noticed by either side of the Good-Evil struggle. Both sides will use you as a pawn on this earthly world. Though, admittedly, Good will treat you better after you shuffle off your mortal coil than Evil will. Kind of a heretical theory, as by stating that I come under notice by both sides, but YOLO (at least in Christianity at least, well, maybe, at least on this Earth, maybe (some theories about the Well of Souls where souls are stored for to be put into babies do come around to recycling souls, so…)
Good stuff.
Every day these cretins prove that to them nothing is sacred and they are blatant Marxists. According to another congressional loon, mortgages are now racist, as are home inspectors. Posit some inane or asinine concept and they will push it onto masses like it’s something genius (Nod to Mike_C’s comments above). These so-called public servants are crumbling America at warp speed and the only solution is a culling.
Case in point: Spent 460 miles roundtrip today on three major interstates dragging a flatbed and loaded with 5k lbs of equipment on the return trip. I actually thought I would rip the hitch right off because OUR roads that we pay for are TOTAL CRAP. And this is 2023, with modern civil engineering and materials science at our disposal. Yet we get roads the Romans would laugh at. Endless construction zones, new pavement that is like a buckboard, literally EVERY bridge transition is a speed-bump at highway speeds, worn lanes, ruts, potholes, dips, bumps…all trashing your front end and making driving at speed almost dangerous. I was so frosted I was literally ready to drive into Denver, pull up in front of the Statehouse, unload the tractor and drive it up the steps and into Chambers to knock the arrogance off their smug faces. But what do we get from our asinine do-nothing TransSec? “Roads are racist.” A real problem solver, that one. He needs to be horsewhipped and left for the coyotes for saying something that moronic.
And don’t get me started on Fetterman…that disgrace of a human is brain dead…any commentary beyond that is moot, except that the General Public in PA who voted for him are just as stupid.
I rarely eat fast food anymore, too many unknowns in the product altering consumers brains and adding pounds.
Biden and his lying circle of reprobates will get their comeuppance when they stand before God. But here and now they will never see the inside of a prison where they all deserve to waste away.
“modern civil engineering”
There’s your problem, right there.
Exactly. Zero pride in doing things correctly and efficiently, but they “meet spec”….for ten minutes.
Modern Civil Engineering gave us the FIU Bridge Collapse in Miami because diversity and inclusivity was more important than correct calculations and overdesigning for safety.
But it looked purty. Until it fell.
Look around you. Look at all the modern civil engineering and see how butt-ugly it all is. One of the finest and most unsung moments of Trump’s presidency was when he required all new federal buildings to be built in the Federalist style rather than butt-ugly modern styles, if you can call modern monstrosities a style.
God’s pretty clear about the lukewarm business. He made it pretty clear in the last book that he would prefer you hot or cold lest He spew you out of His mouth. As the Lord of armies, I think He’d like to see some commitment. Otherwise, you are just collateral damage.
I’d rather be “in the fold” being used for His purposes.
Mortgages. Early 2000’s we had programs to “help” bad credit folks to buy homes. Subprime, it was called. So, keep repeating programs that don’t work. Is that insanity, or just another way to fleece us? Micro fact. I got 24 new assignments today.
Well I’m no neuroscientist but I’ll take a stab at this.
The brain relies on a balanced chemistry for proper electrical function. Natural variations of this balance likely accounts for individual levels of creativity, language skills, artistic ability etc.
(Note also the relationship of neural transmission to such conditions as epilepsy, Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s and CJD.)
Inspiration might be described as a bolt of lightning stimulating certain areas of the brain. Synapses are invigorated, neural pathways are enhanced, resulting in that “Aha!” revelation. Such stimulation can be effected by implanted electrodes or psychotropic drugs.

A common experience related by survivors of near-death incidents is being attracted to a bright white light.
Might this be due to the brain’s diminishing electrical activity shrinking to a dot- like your old B&W television set?
