I read some reviews of Interstellar before I watched the movie and they almost kept me from going. I enjoyed the movie, notwithstanding those reviews. It’s SCIENCE FICTION, which means that you need to suspend reality and some prejudice before you can enjoy it.
The play on the environmentally devastated Earth is right out of the Al Gore playbook, but it is still part of the plot and in the sense of the totality of the film, it works. I’m not suggesting that you believe the global warming/climate change/now “climate disruption” hoax. Just that you go with the film. The acting was good, the cinematography was 10 out of a possible 10 and the plot worked as well as any Star Trek/Star Wars/Promethius, etc. SciFi plot has.
If you can’t get your head around science fiction, I doubt that you’ll enjoy the film.
I give it 8 out of a possible 10 and suggest that if you enjoy SciFi, you’ll enjoy the movie.

Between the two you get a relatively good perspective of the film.
I thought Harry Potter was the last movie made. Where do you get all this other stuff.
Hollywood keeps cranking them out. Some are entertaining. Most are not. I'm always a sucker for sci-fi.
Nothing like a good bit of sci-fi. Will check it out.

Time Space and Knowledge.
"Climate disruption"… hmmm.
Similar to the randomness of a flickering fire or uniqueness of a snowflake… the weather is a bit out of our control. The climate disrupts. SO UNSETTLING.
It's like trying to regulate the output of the sun.
Saw "Live, Die, Repeat" last night. Not bad even for Cruise. I'll catch this one mebbe on Redbox. I'm a sucker for sci fi too.
I liked Live, Die, Repeat. It was a very different film than this one but both were entertaining.
I've just this second read another blog review on this saying that is was difficult to understand. The philosophy is easy but the science is complicated. I shall give it a go if you rate it this highly.
I didn't consider the science to be difficult. The theory of relativity holds that TIME is relative. If you keep that in mind, it will make more sense.
I understand that for people living on the skin of a planet, time seems uniform and unbending, but I assure you that it's only situational for us. Stephen Hawking's "A Brief History of Time" might be instructive.
