Tokyo Rose
Iva Ikuko Toguri D’Aquino was a Japanese-American disc jockey and radio personality who participated in English-language radio broadcasts transmitted by Radio Tokyo to Allied troops in the South Pacific during World War II on The Zero Hour radio show.
She was subsequently charged by the U.S. Attorney’s Office with eight counts of treason. Her 1949 trial resulted in a conviction on one count, for which she spent more than six years out of a ten-year sentence in prison. Journalistic and governmental investigators years later pieced together the history of irregularities with the indictment, trial, and conviction, including confessions from key witnesses who had perjured themselves at the various stages of their testimonies. Toguri received a pardon in 1977 from then-U.S. President Gerald Ford.
The Wikipedia entry for Tokyo Rose is well researched and referenced.
Note: In 1976, an investigation by Chicago Tribune reporter Ron Yates discovered that Kenkichi Oki and George Mitsushio, who had given the most damaging testimony at D’Aquino’s trial, had perjured themselves. They stated that FBI and U.S. occupation police had coached them for over two months about what they were to say on the stand, and had been threatened with treason trials themselves if they didn’t cooperate.
No FBI Special Agents were ever charged with subordination of perjury. Of course. Things really don’t change very much.

A Case Before the US Supreme Court
This should be interesting. Note that the issue is not whether the federal government can create the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau but rather how they can fund it. Nonetheless the incredible breadth of the agencies authority without checks and balances is cause for great concern and may lead to more legal challenges.
“Though he severed the tenure issue from the funding mechanism then (probably because there is no readily available substitute), Roberts noted the agency “acts like a mini legislature, prosecutor, and court, responsible for creating substantive rules for a wide swath of industries” and “levying knee-buckling penalties against private citizens,” with “no basis in history and no place in our constitutional structure.”

RFK
The Fascists at the DNC brought this on themselves. Had they let Bobby in the race, made Pedo Joe debate him – y’know, like we do in a democracy which is supposedly oh so threatened by “MAGA extremists” when the diametric opposite is true – this would have never have happened. RFK would scorch the old husk, win the Dem nomination, and many Republicans would have voted Dem for the first time in their lives. If the DNC really thinks they can stuff Harris/Biden/Obama down our throats, they must have a really awesome cheat plan. Will it come down to two Independents: RFK vs Trump?

Bang!
🤙 send it!
Tokyo Rose. So, another piece of evidence that the FBI has been corrupt from its inception. Can’t say that is comforting.
Jules I hope you didn’t import a RAM (or other full sized pickup) into the UK. Some of the secondary and tertiary roads would be a bit problematic width wise.
I think that she halls the wolves around in a full sized pick up.
I don’t have a Dodge Ram, I have a Ford Ranger Wildtrack that takes up 2 car parking spaces in all English car parks. I fly a Cornish pirate flag from the top of it just to be extra obnoxious and annoy Fiat Uno drivers.
snicker-snort :)
No RAM Jules! That’s disappointing.
I urged her to buy an H-1 Alpha. The Hummer would have been an even more obnoxious ride on narrow British roads (built by the Romans for two chariots to pass).
LOL, well done Lady!
Fantastic!
Love it.
What a corrupt, unfair and vile society we live in
Way to go Sally, now no one can hear you scream.
In Space, no one can hear you scream…
JFK – read somewhere that he had polling data showing he would siphon off more votes from Reps than from Dems.
If Pedo Joe is the Democrat nominee and I doubt that he will be when the dust settles, then RFK will run as an independent and will take the D votes. If the Republicans disenfranchise Pres. Trump, he will run as an independent and take the R votes. And it will be game on.
Albeit massively more frustrating, infuriating even, it is better than waiting in line at the diesel power generated EV charging station in the rain while trying to get signal to download the specialized payApp.
If you buy an electric car, you should simply expect that as part of your owner’s experience.
Makes you socially superior…like masks.
The way the votes were counted in the last election shows what the people voted for doesn’t really matter.
Those who count the votes determine the winner.
We’ve seen that recently.
Seems everything is pegged on the insanity meter with little remedy (well, I can think of a couple, but your site is already getting beat on).
Happy for my far off cheap seat and bowl of well-buttered popcorn. Life is good…here at least.
Jules…Running a good life over in Old Blighty. Supremely talented, Maramlade Farm/Compound, double wide space taker vehicle, a private wolf pack, and cool excursions. Probably has a huge stock of thick sliced applewood smoked bacon in the fridge to top it off.
Ahh, posted in wrong place…me and the iPad are having an operations argument.
Thank you, Paul. I’m going to get you to write my curriculum vitae!
There’s always two lots of bacon in my fridge – the thick cut British style and the skinny rashers like you get in America that I’m violently addicted to!
Resume’ Executive Summary:
It ain’t braggin’ if you can do it, have done it, and continue to do it…I can do it…hire me.
(Based on VM’s content it is clear LL’s statement would be similar.)
“Will it come down to two Independents: RFK vs Trump?”
Or will one succumb to a family history of lead poisoning and the other be jailed?
Yeah, or that.
Yep, whoever counts the votes will win… and WE lose… again
Even if RFK Jr. siphons off a large number of Democrats and left leaning independents, the Democrat Presidential candidate will get more “votes” than 2020. Heck, even Conservatives/Republicans will have their votes transferred to the “correct”canidates for president, senator and representative through the miracle of modern electronics. They can’t have a 150% of registered voter turnout.
Actually, they had 150% of registered voter turnout in Arizona – in some areas. So yes, as shameless as that sounds – whatever it takes to win.
Nothing to see there…move along folks…it was a free and fair election!
How is 150% NOT clear and present fraud?
Judges – useless…especially the “fix is in” snickering ones who demand a private businessman liquidate his entire holdings by devaluing them despite NO ONE was defrauded or damaged of victimized. Straight on tyranny at every level.
