It’s Father’s Day and I have four girls, who have given me (and are still giving me) wonderful grandchildren. Eight grandkids on the runway and one in the hangar. Will they manage an even 10? It remains to be seen.

  1. Wow, congratulations! An excellent family you've sired there. That one that's hovering over your head in the second picture looks like she's about to play a trick on you – watch out!

  2. They grew up on me, WSF. Not quite fair, really. I miss having them around all the time, under foot and getting into mischief.

  3. Beautiful young lades, even mom. And 10 or 12 grandkids sounds like a good round number. HFD, LL.

  4. I might not be a good interpreter but at the first picture I sense kind of a tense father being slightly concerned taking his responsibility very serious and the last one is more relaxed like wow it went fantastic!!!

Congratulate and soon you have your own soccer team in place.

  5. There is a lot of pranking that goes on. We've refined it to a high art. There is a question as to whether the Old sire is still master. I think that I retain the crown.

  6. If the girls worked harder at it, I'd have my own (American) football team. They're slacking at their duty. Joking aside, they all had careers that they set aside to be full time stay-at-home mothers. No success in life can compensate for failure in your home.

  7. Happy Father's Day LL. Just returned from the lake where I spent some time with two of the kids and three of the grandkids. Shortly after I got home I received a call from the mother of the other 1.8 grandkids. I'm going to go see her this coming weekend. Life is good.

  8. You can't help but have fun when you blend kids with a lake. Water and dirt make mud, a key ingredient in insuring that the grandkids have fun.

  9. Two photos of your beautiful family years apart, but the space between them the mere blink of an eye. Hope your day was a good one.
