The company said it had tried adding more security, including third-party guards, and using deterrents such as locking up merchandise.
“We cannot continue operating these stores because theft and organized retail crime are threatening the safety of our team and guests and contributing to unsustainable business performance,” the company said. “We know that our stores serve an important role in their communities, but we can only be successful if the working and shopping environment is safe for all.”
It’s amazing that the woke don’t understand how to solve the crime problem.

Burt Routan designed all composite body twin engine airplane was built way before the world was ready for it apparently. Beechcraft was quite an innovative company formed by Walter Beech, a barnstorming womanizer, but really ran by Olive Ann Beech his wife, who ran a tight ship! A fixture in east Wichita for almost a century.

The Starship was just way ahead of its time. It was the first civilian aircraft to use carbon fiber. I used to see the flying test flights out of the Beech plant in Wichita. There is one at the Pima museum in Tucson.

I think that they had enough lift (particularly when empty of bombs) that they could land a very slow airspeed – into the wind. It would take some large walnuts to go to war in one of them.

When my children were little, I sent them to a Pedodontist (dentist specializing in children) and paid dearly for the service. MRSLL saw the dentist in the store once who just got back from a vacation to Tahiti or somewhere exotic and the dentist told her about it and said he had a great time. She said, “And you didn’t even thank me for paying for it.”
My brothers and I kept our orthodontist’s POS Mercedes running. But he did do good work.
Hate to mention this, but any of us who went into dentistry for the money found ourselves sorely disappointed; shudda listened to our Dads and become Democrat politicians.

Every stinking time I buy something I see a “Made in China” label or mould mark on it. I got a FREE bucket at Harbor Freight today, and was stunned when I turned it over and saw “Made In USA” moulded in the bottom. Near passed out when I saw that on a Harbor Freight item….
Target is doing what businesses do when forced to cut costs to remain profitable…they cut the poorest performing stores out of the heard.
A Starship! One of my favorite airplanes. I used to see one go in and out of the Torrance airport once or twice a week, and I’ve seen one leaving Long Beach, but don’t know if it was the same airplane.
It was deemed unprofitable by Beech to support the 53 aircraft they built, so they started buying them back and stripping/scrapping them. Very sad, but economics won out.
