It was the Longest Day.
The first few waves on the beach at Normandy were almost wiped out to a man in the first two weeks of fighting.
Freedom isn’t free. This is a good time to reflect on that, on the sacrifice of the brave men who fought to earn what we now have and all too often take for granted.
Some of us will remember as long as we live.
Thanks for the post.

I don’t know where things are going when we all die off. It will pass beyond our concern. But the sacrifice and courage of the Greatest Generation is a legacy that I hate to see diminished. Of course, the common core curriculum ignores history except during Black History Month and Gay Pride Month.
And think, so-called anti-fascists vandalized Churchi’s statue in London today. WTAF.
Really had enough of these Maoists.
I wasn’t aware of that. It’s wrong at every possible level.
