The Nodding Donkey

The most pliable of Hitler’s lackeys in the Wehrmacht, Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel. Nicknamed “The Nodding Donkey” for his sycophancy. He was Chief of the OKW and essentially the Nazi minister of war from 1938-1945.

History criticizes the people that Hitler surrounded himself with but the US has our own General Mark Milley, outgoing US Army Chief of Staff and Chairman of the JCS, who cut his own deal. with China.

The Hong Kong corporation that allegedly wired funds to Hunter Biden’s business in 2017 was controlled by a Shanghai firm run by members of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), some of whom had previously served in the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), according to business documents and congressional reports reviewed by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

On June 30, 2017, Shanghai Huaxin Group (Hong Kong) Ltd. wired $10 million to the Delaware-based company CEFC Infrastructure, which then wired $100,000 to Hunter Biden’s “professional corporation,” Owasco P.C., on August 4, 2017, a House Oversight Committee memo revealed Wednesday, alleging the transfers were part of an influence-peddling scheme.

However, at the time of the 2017 wire transfer, 100% of Shanghai Huaxin Group (Hong Kong) Ltd.’s shares were held by a company called CEFC Shanghai International Group Ltd., which was run by multiple members of the CCP, according to a 2017 Shanghai stock exchange filing.

Homeless Vets replaced by Illegal Aliens

NY Post (h/t Claudio) Nearly two dozen struggling homeless veterans have been booted from upstate hotels to make room for migrants, says a nonprofit group that works with the vets. The ex-military — including a 24-year-old man in desperate need of help after serving in Afghanistan — were told by the hotels at the beginning of the week that their temporary housing was getting pulled out from under them at the establishments and that they’d have to move on to another spot, according to the group and a sickened local pol.

I guess some NY politician figured that they didn’t vote democrat.

From the Days of Fighting Sail

Service aboard was not standardized. Men who were pressed usually only saw land again when the ship was back and if they were lucky then maybe only one or two years. If they were unlucky, it could be 5-10 years if they were on blockade duty. Volunteers only signed up for one ship, and depending on the assignment, it could be over in as little as 6 months. And so they had to apply for a new ship.

In 1811, HMS Centurion was in the West Indies for 11 years. HMS Rattlesnake made it 14 years that year, returning with only one man from the original crew, the fever having accounted for the rest. HMS Fox, however, added another year, making it 15 years and not a single penny was paid to the crew during the entire duration of this long deployment.

A temporary arrangement with the prospect of an end was introduced in 1835, so volunteers signed up for 5 years of service, which could be extended to 7. Before signing up for a new period, however, they could not be sure of being taken/pressed.

New Netflix Documentary?

Elon Musk is one of my favorite African-Americans. Yes,  Peter Grand and Charlize Theron are too.

  1. FW-200 Condor.

One of the deadlier airliners, largely because it wasn’t used as a medium bomber.

    -Kle.

    1. Yes to you and Kle. I agree with Kle that it was a successful warbird largely because of how it was employed.

        1. It was also used as a long-range transport. The Germans didn’t have a lot of Fw 200s and used them, but used them cautiously.

          1. One of the earliest versions of what we think of as an MPA these days. Recce, combat co-ordination, opportunity attacks against vulnerable targets… not really much ASW, but that wasn’t really a priority for the Germans.

            -Kle.

          2. Yes, they were far more interested in spotting convoys and vectoring in wolfpacks.

    2. A Condor story, again from a magazine in a dusty box somewhere.

There was this military intelligence unit in Europe in WWII whose job was to fly to enemy airfields as soon as they had been captured in an effort to get their hands on the newest German technology. Their aircraft was a C-47. One day while in the air, they spotted a Condor sitting intact on an airfield, and landed to investigate. They already knew what it was, they were more interested in perhaps upgrading their ride, which they did.

It was also well known that any intact aircraft left behind were likely booby trapped. One example was an FW-190 being put through a static landing gear test. Gear retracted and boom! Most of the right wing fell off. As one might imagine, the intelligence folks and mechanics went over the Condor with a fine tooth comb before they painted white stars on it and went on their way.

They flew it up through the end of the war, and eventually home to the U.S. IIRC, final destination was Wright Patterson AFB. Also as one might imagine, they brought a rather impressive souvenir collection with them. As the story goes, some fresh young 2Lt. with a clip board came out on the ramp to check them in. He took one look inside the plane, tossed the clip board and just walked away.

The Air Force had the plane for awhile to fly/test, whatever. Then it was offered to whomever wanted to do the same. After all that, it was eventually scrapped, and THAT’S when they found the booby trap cleverly concealed in one of the wings. It never went off because the detonator had failed.

  2. The air war over the Atlantic deserves more fame. Condors dueled with Liberators over the Atlantic, and Ju-88 squadrons hunted Coastal Command bombers over the Bay of Biscay. Downed aircrew risked freezing to death or not being rescued at all. Scary stuff.

      1. I think most of the Atlantic Campaign has been overshadowed by other theaters.

The North Atlantic in Winter is an extremely brutal environment. My hat’s off to those who served there.

  3. But!But!..LL, Comer NEVER made the connection between the (20) Biden Crime Family LLC’s and Ol’ Joey Sponge Pants! According to the Spackle-It-Over Degenerates, Their Emperor “had no connection”. Yeah, sure. Uh huh. Mmm, right-o then.

The Dem’s Shills are like a really bad Ronco commercial on Ch 29 at midnight between Mutual of Omaha reruns:

“For only $19.98…plus $39.99 in S&H you too can own this cordless gutter cleaner.”

    1. There’s more (there is always more):

“Oversight Chairman James Comer told Fox News’s Maria Bartiromo that nine of the ten whistleblowers in his Biden family investigation case are missing.”

The Degenerate Dem’s are in full ‘Epstein” mode: Eliminate any opposition by any means necessary, even if that includes murder or long-term incarceration without a crime being charged.

It’s no more complicated than “the they” want us DEAD…that is, those who prefer The Constitution over some Socialist Utopia Construct (‘SUK’).

      1. There’s another possibility. They were so overcome with shame at impugning the character of Pedo Joe that they hacked themselves to death with axes. The fact that axes aren’t present at the sites of their deaths shouldn’t be factored in to the obvious suicides.

        1. Now THAT would make a well received Netflix series!

(Kidding, but the point is made of how much we despise these cretins and what they “can go do to themselves”…in clear 8th-grade boy terminology.)

  4. In the comparison of King Chuckie and Snoke from Star Wars, I’ve got to say that Snoke wears it better. Snoke has that nasty scar, but it’s evidence of advanced medicine and healing to survive a wound like that, as well as evidence that Chuckie has been better protected.

    1. KC3 does love his cider. He may look better after the liver transplant.

  5. HM Charles III has not aged well, alas. He looks both pasty and doughy in that photo.

I call BS on the Musk documentary. These days they would never use a Black man with a narrowish nose and medium lips. It is mandatory to put forward Black men with broad noses and cartoonishly thick lips. If you had sketched George Floyd accurately (before he became famous) and posted the sketch you’d have been accused of perpetuating negative stereotypes through vicious caricature. And then Jonathan Majors was suddenly everywhere (Kang the next Marvel supervillain; the Army ad narrator, etc) before the abuse allegations. Again, same physiognomy.

Incidentally, Cleopatra is getting roasted. Rotten Tomatoes (which is highly suspect and unreliable) nonetheless shows 11% critical approval, and only 2% audience approval (as of this morning) for the fake documentary. It appears that the backlash is so strong that they’re not even trying the usual gaslighting and spin.

    1. These people believe Unicorns are real…like they did when 4 years old. Which points to a – at least half anyway – juvenile nation by indoctrination who think tried and true business models (refined over time) are passe’, and that us “more seasoned” wiser types are STUPID and have no idea what we’re talking about. So they push their Socialist Nirvana crap all day every day. “Change is necessary!” they spew, failing any metric showing they are heading in the wrong direction (towards the cliff/abyss)…so there they go headlong into the morass happily singing Kumbaya while smoking their Rec-Med.

The Emperor is beyond ‘no clothes’…he/she/it is transparent, showing full hollowness.

      1. Another unicorn denier on VM…it’s a sad day. A very sad day. Please don’t voice your doubts in front of my four-year-old granddaughter. In some countries like the UK, unicorn denial constitutes hate speech.

It’s akin to suggesting that St. George (Floyd) died of a drug overdose instead of due to rough treatment at the hands of the police. Or suggesting that Epstein didn’t kill himself.

        1. Sorry, I’ll slink off to quietly self-flagellate then take a pilgrimage to the Floyd Shrine in Minneapolis to prostrate myself as a Woke Act of Forgiveness, maybe immolate myself, reducing my carbon footprint to show true adulation to Gaia.

Apologies to your granddaughter, assuming she gets wind of my emotive commentary…Unicorns are real…just ask The Left.

          1. Yes, they are real and are being hunted to extinction by hateful white males who own guns and read the Bible.

            Unicorn lives matter!

          2. I’m identifying as a black 2-spirit trans female Unicorn…covering all the bases. With this new enlightened self I’m publishing a coloring book for age 4 and under to promote Community Organizer Multiculturalism, with a bonus: Every order includes a Crayola Crayon box of pastel browns (no sharpener, those are racist). Inside, look for the Golden Periwinkle Gift Certificate to attend the RuPaul Drag Race Tour and a Target costume voucher.

  6. Any reason Kim duToit did not make your list of favorite African Americans?

    1. Is Kim du Toit from Africa? I thought that he was from Dallas. However, if he self-identifies as African he could make the list.

      1. Pretty sure he’s from S.A., certainly originally. Had some great posts the last few days…many along the lines of “Go suck an egg!”. You’d appreciate the Schrodinger’s Dumpster – “Empty When Full”. heh

      2. Yes, Kim is indeed from S.A. I first read his original blog and corresponded with him back in 2004. More recently we have managed to meet up. I replaced the extractor in his M1 carbine, and later joined him on the range at Mission Ridge Range & Academy.

        1. It looks as if I have yet another favorite African American. Who could have predicted that my life would become so Afro-Centric?

          1. He no longer has them for sale, but he used to sell some t-shirts saying “Turning America back into a nation of riflemen, one person at a time”…or something like that.

        2. I believe KdT coined the phrase, or at least publicized the phrase “Africa always wins.” As in, here’s a water treatment plant so easy monkeys can use it. 6 months later nothing is left of said water treatment plant. Therefore, Africa always wins.

          1. Africa always wins.
            —KdT

            We’ll see about that.
            —The Chinese

My money is on Africa, especially with “civilized” ROE. But with more permissive parameters? Hmmmm. Dunno if the Chicoms could do it, but I seem to recall someone else’s old saying (boast?) “Cape Town to Cairo in 30 days.”

  7. Condors were also used to fly ‘priority passengers’ to Argentina via Africa at the tail end of the war. And yes, they were used extensively for ‘surface search’ missions for convoys.

  8. MS Theron thought beautimus is nucking futz. She claims both her children a gay, non binary or something and she will “fuck up” anyone who dares criticize their lifestyle. I think some internet newscaster babe has already issued her a challenge .
