Talk Like a Pirate Day kicks off on September 19th, five months from today. I personally celebrate it, whereas I ignore June 19th. All the while, Juneteenth is a recognized federal holiday in the USA, and Talk Like a Pirate Day is not. Somehow, it seems a little unfair. Perhaps somebody (not me, but somebody) should protest unequal treatment for pirates. Even Muslims (who still believe in slavery) who identify as Barbary Pirates could get behind the movement and make September 19 a national day of remembrance. Maybe they could do it in the UK, because there were a lot of British pirates historically, and there were/are a lot of Muslim pirates still hijacking ships, and Britain is sort of a Caliphate these days. Keep in mind that everyone can be a pirate. There was no discrimination in the 18th century, and there is none today. I’ve never heard a pirate complain about cultural appropriation.
More than any other group, Disney Corporation went a long way toward making pirates great again. Who among you who rode the ride didn’t say, “Hey, it’s a pirate’s life for me!” Feel free to say, “Shiver me timbers,” or “Avast, maity,” or “Surrender the booty!” You don’t need my permission. Lots of concern about the wall going up in the big bend of Texas I do have concern about the environmental impact ,in the beautiful place. It is an inhospitable place for invaders , and I’ve asked the locals when there, about border jumpers ,they say very few are crossing in the area . Partly because of transportation away from the border . The locals cross pretty much at will ,and I personally invaded Mexico , ankle deep w@ter is no deterrent .
I think a few free roaming bounty hunters could handle that area , quite well.
I’m fine with open season and no bag limit, but some do-gooder is bound to come along and say that I should count coup instead of taking scalps.
Take the closest 10 miles of Mexico.

Border Security; one 50 cent lead piece is an affordable plan. Word would get out down south. On this side of the border, no matter how in-humane the screamers would call it, practical sense says it would work. Like Caning or public use of rope. As for bag limits and bounties, the street value and weights of narcotics would help motivate effectiveness and efficiency. As for the wetbacks vs Green card holders the labor need is still here. The broker system and legit temporary labor I saw from south of the border was a win win deal for both sides. A simple check out system could curtail the “visitors” who over stay.

Pirate talk; It was a pleasure to learn the sailor talk, from a kids book, written by Kipling. Captains Courageous was perhaps written for all ages, but I felt like I should have read it in my youth.
