Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard suggested that Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law to get out of Australia. (SNOPES – LINK) My first take on this was a lot of pride in the thunder from down under. This is a compilation of quotes on the subject for your review and comment if you are moved to make one.
She has had more to say on the subject: “IMMIGRANTS, NOT AUSTRALIANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture…This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.”

Learn the language!” By so saying, Prime Minister Gillard simply outlined what many Australians had been feeling for a long time. “Most Australians believe in God. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. We will accept your beliefs, and will not question why All we ask is that you accept ours, and live in harmony…”

But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great Australian freedom, ‘THE RIGHT TO LEAVE’. If you aren’t happy here then LEAVE. We didn’t force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.”
I know that nobody in the United States Government would have the courage to say this, but I applaud our brothers and sisters in Australia who risked life and limb from retribution meted out by the Religion of Peace – for speaking their minds.
This encourages the heck out of me! Angela Merkel said similar things in Germany a couple months ago. Maybe people are waking up.

Amanda – It's a magnet for the lame and lazy like Obama's Aunt Zetuni. You need not work – pick up your welfare check, your debit card (because food stamps are demeaning) to buy your necessities and live in subsidized housing — while you criticize America.

How great it would be if the electorate here would remember exactly what our country is meant to be! As such, the people as a whole would not be afraid to voice what we really feel. And that is exactly what this Great Prime minister in Australia is saying. To all immigrants we should always say as you say above.
This is our country, not yours. If you don't like it, get out! As we have an administration that is willing to force the ways of "outsiders" on our life here in the U.S., it is good that some in other countries are in fact finally taking a stand. We need to do the same here before we become the third world banana republic we are destined to become if we don't stop it now.
