This bill package prohibits the holding or using of a mobile electronic device while driving. The bills also increase the penalties for a violation and allow the suspension of a license for multiple offenses. The bills go even further to prohibit receiving text messages while driving. These bills would allow the suspension of your driver’s license after 3 offenses.
** The latest numbers are in showing the boycott against Bud Light taking a dramatic toll on the brand.

It wont work. My 2016 pickup reads text messages to me by voice command, steering wheel buttons, or on the console display touch screen. That is a 7 year old truck and I am sure the newer ones are a lot more efficient than my truck.
That may be part of the hangup in the legislature. I’m positive that the most ardent communist will still want to use his/her/its nav.
This made me look up Stellarium on the web so I can see where Alderamin is and see how different it is in apparent brightness to Polaris. They’re about the same (Polaris at 2.1 and Alderamin at 2.5) with Deneb the brightest of the three.

The video on “the evidence” pretty much tells me elections for National Government Offices are DEAD. Will 2024 be the year when ALL Republican or Conservative candidates be defeated or at least enough to give the Democrats a super majority in both Houses of Congress? We already know that Joe Biden will be re-elected by a majority that is probably 10 million more votes than he received in 2020 since he is “The Most Popular President in History” ®. If that all happens then Congress will act to remove the sovereignty of the States all the way down to the lowest level offices in towns and cities. Democrats want power and only power. To them “Democracy” is the Democrat party running every thing.

If you bluetooth it through your car’s mic and speakers, that’s okay.
The school bus gives a great view into passenger vehicles; I see endless numbers of morons texting / watching porn / shopping / web surfing / etc. every day, driving in ways that make me want to kill them. More than the usual amount.
I am also against nav systems that tell you directions. Moving map displays are actively good, though. I don’t think that people who can’t read a map or navigate should have drivers licenses, and the nav systems have WAY too many stupid errors anyway. It’s bad enough when they send you stupid ways, but they also direct you the wrong way up one-way streets, cross-country, into obstacles, etc. Many users of these systems do whatever their Robot Master tells them, w/o looking.
I don’t suppose it matters, cars are going to be illegal for the non-Eloi soon anyway.
